That’s what a 4 pound flathead catfish did to me it brought it out so much I had to swim to get it and it was a 2 mins fight I thought it was a bonnet head shark

I have an honest question about removing the hook from the shark. When you go up to it and step on the side fins is that a common way to keep it from thrashing? And not to sound like a wimp, but does that hurt the fins? I am kind of a chunky dude so I would hate to blow out his fins trying to remove a hook. In the past I have just kind of laid on it like I was trying to catch a gator and then remove the hook, but your way looks much less hectic and practical.
Went out to sarasota area and my buddy and I caught about 100 fish total in about 5 hours. 90% were ladyfish, but it was absolutely insane and so much fun. They put up such a good fight and can be challenging to keep on the hook at times

Huge fan of your channel man , the mud prawns I usually take the hook through the back of the tail so that the pinchers are pointing upwords with a little bait cotton on the tail after few wraps and its good they stay alive longer that way

Break the big claw off to avoid getting nipped. Use a sieve and pump each shrimp hole several times.i get them from my local beach in Australia
