    I just wanted to say ( I’m new to fishing have some learning difficulties etc) and I find your videos easy to follow you also do a great job at showing every single step you need to execute tasks that some seem to skip and assume you already know …your very knowledgeable and I’m learning a great deal already from you and it’s given me the courage and confidence to tie my own knots and go fishing and get out of my box (home) catch my own food be semi self sufficient….thank you man …little do you know how helpful and how much something like these videos can be to somebody 🙏and keep up the excellent content

    My favorite Gulf Coast eating is Specs, Whiting, slot Reds....They are all so tasty
    Tried some of the Clammy Bits and Whiting love it for sure.

    I caught a massive speckled trout last month on finger mullet. It was a giant one. There was a lot of good meat on that fish, and it was the tastiest fish I ever caught in the surf as well.

    Youve inspired me to get into surf fishing, granted im in washington near the puget sound so the fish arent as plentiful (and pretty strictly limited for edible species, ling cod, cabezon, etc) but its soooo much fun. Thanks for these videos man!

    Hey Skipper great stuff. I tried this once I had to go get Pizza lol. One another note I caught your T knot vid, it worked like a charm. One question is there maximum line test weight u reccomend this knot for.

    Recently fished at Myrtle Beach on Labor Day weekend and used some salted shrimp, caught almost every species from Black Drums, large Blue fish, Whiting's, Spots, Jacks, Pompanos, and many more during the fall run! I caught so much I ran out of bait the very first day in 4 hrs!
    Can't wait to see you guys do some Carolina fishing sometime again, especially if you guys do a video of the Albemarle Sound or other places for drums or stripers or many other fish!

    Hey question for ya. How do you maintain your spudnik sinkers?? Seems like mine are always getting destroyed and I only get about 3 months or so out of them. I fish the jetty in Ponce Inlet maybe twice a week or more and I spend a lot of money on spudniks lol. Heck I wish I could even make them lol but any suggestions or hacks I don’t know about would be greatly appreciated love you all

    I have caught a lot of fresh water catfish. Since they have no scales they are tricky to filet. I use special catfish pliers a pull the skin off..

    Just fried some bluefish and homemade fries with a couple of adult beverages. Enjoyed the catch, clean, cook video.
    I have never had ladyfish but, I caught a couple of them last night, along with the bluefish my girlfriend caught, so we are about to try the fishcakes from lady fish.

    Monkfish are the poor man's lobster, all of their meat is in their tail. But man, they are freaky looking. I'll have more courage and try sea robin the next time I catch a solid one! Great video as always.

    Smoked catfish is yummy, use apple wood. You need a pair of skin pliers to pull skin off the catfish.

    Surf fishers out there, how tall are ya'll's sand spikes and how much length do you like to leave coming out of the ground?
    I got some $5 PVC ones recently, but this morning they all bent up when I ran into rocks beneath the surface. Not sure what to look into as future replacements.

      I made mine with 2’ stainless steel angle and pvc pipe bolted to it. All together 4’ long. A little overkill but works very well in hard packed sand.

      @@HeySkipper filet like flounder and get 4 slabs. Cook any way you like, fried is fine. I also pan fried in a butter-garlic-lemon sauce and it was very tasty. Bon appetit!

    Senko if you want catfish to taste better bleed it. Cut off the tail and drain it. Catfish is one of my favorite fish to eat.

    If you use shrimp, then your salted bait, how do we know which bait the fish are attracted to? Show us you catching fish with just your salted bait, please. So we can see what really works

    Best way to clean those cats is cut the barbs off immediately when you catch them and peel the skin with pliers.

      We also keep fresh and saltwater catfish. I guess coming from inland we learner to bleed all fish and to filet catfish differently.

    On the catfish you need to cut their tails off to bleed them. Then cut behind their internal cavity.
