The bigger Italian clubs are shocking for this kind of transfer chicanery. They approach the player and his agent then basically sit on their hands while feeding Italian media stories that the player only wants to move to them. We saw similar behaviour with Botman. basically they hope it’ll drive the price down and they give the agent a nice bonus. listened to a really good podcast about it. They also do loads of suspicious cheap transfers or loans for PSR purposes - something we are starting to see in the PL.
