In Erik ten hag 's 1st season when we finished 3rd there were a lot of 1-0 wins and it was down to some crucial saves by De Gea we don't get that from onana...I'm not saying de gea should have stayed but just that we need a better shot stopper..Onana with his hands is not good enough
Talking about Uniteds stats for turnovers and pressing, as a positive, is mad. 3 games in, having played Liverpool and Brighton who typically play higher risk football. Of course you’ll have more turnovers than most other teams. The other team was Fulham, a team with lesser talented players. I can’t see Ten Hag staying past Halloween, let alone Christmas.
Please stop just using stats as a way to judge football and actually watch games if you're going to comment on teams. Stating Onana as being a big miss for Everton just completely misinterprets the situation. He was never a key player under Dyche and Dyche teams do not play in the same mould with midfielders as other teams. Their time on the ball is limited due to long ball football and their pass accuracy is going to be down due to the way they are utilised. Bournemouth are a better team than us? yet last season we would have finished above them on GD if not for the point deductions. Also possession does not equal good football. You can have lower possession than another side but play better football. For example against Bournemouth we had lower possession but played far better football on the day.
You're ignoring all the context they provide. They're right, when your possession is so low, you're just inviting pressure. Low passing accuracy in the middle of the park means everton keep turning over. They also address that everton played better against Bournemouth but they are emotionally fragile.
