Chris Holmes is going to be the 80s generation's Keith Richards - the guy who everyone thought would drink himself to death early on and ends up living forever instead.
Cris Holmes is a timeless rock n roll warrior who slays anything with his tone for days! I hope he lives forever. Rock on Chris! Thanks FIB for posting. All your interviews are legendary.
Oh thank god, I always thought that was about me, and it's about them the nub body that don't pay attention to something really special and make up lies about each other! God!
After listening to this, I have even more respect for Chris Holmes. Blackie may have been the main song writer but Chris was most everything else. He really got screwed
Love your channel and how you ask in detail about what amps etc. they used, I geek out on that stuff! Chris Holmes is such a likable guy, honest, down to earth and no BS with this guy!
This was great thank you ! :D Also little unknown trivia here : After Circus Circus they briefly were called Sister again before becoming Wasp . So they were called Sister twice.
WASP has never been close to what they were after Chris. I saw WASP in Minneapolis on the Electric Circus tour. Medium size venue. The Orpheum. 3 bands in order were Raven, Slayer, WASP. My first concert experience and close to the best I have seen since.
100% Blackie is good on guitar but Chris.....like missing Jeff from Slayer or KK from Priest. Not the same. KFD tour was the last I saw with Chris playing (Double Live Assassins). That was the best show.
I’m glad I subscribed to this channel, il love hearing interviews about back then, I wanna be somebody too, wild child, vh1 interviewed blackie lawless on t.v. Once, blackie you have the Memphis 50s, Elvis, you have those chapters, 82’ -83 LA, WILL HAVE ITS OWN CHAPTER, I was like WOW.
That jackson with manson on it is my dream guitar ever since i got into wasp back in 88-89. Knowing he still had and records with it is awesome. Really wish it was in my collection though.
How can two of the most intriguing gentlemen come together at the same place? Blackie & Chris look like they were born to be together its in the Stars, I hope they work together again and Tony Richards on drums and do the last W.A.S.P RECORD with a big bang cuz it is "The Blackie Lawless project" KFD & I like "still not black enough" there last true records after that it sounds like an airplane going a round and round no dynamics or true passion UNLEASH W.A.S.P ON THE WORLD, NOW!
Chris has a meaningful life. I think he's the only one that does, he's a natural family, those others have worms up their sleeves. And I wanna be Fox now, Errrahh!
That's Jim Henson's muppet studios he's talking about, lol. It used to be Charlie Chaplin's old studio back in the day. 1416 N. La Brea Avenue; Hollywood
I saw the gig with Don, Tony, Blackie, and Chris at The Woodstock in 1982. I always wondered what happened. Why Don Wasn't in the band anymore. Now I know.
I love these shows,Asking the right questions ,me and my friends are big fans...I met Chris backstage when I was working for a independent local mag.and Co hosted RocklineTv a Austin TX a local access show.Chris and Blackie came to the area I was waiting in.They seemed as if they were drinking as they were having words with eachother and ended getting their hands on eachother.i m trippin thinking holy shit ! Both of these guys were big dudes...after they break it up.i didn't say a word.then Blackie said are you the guy that wants to talk to us I said yes."well let's do this sit down "ok he said where is your pen ",I say I need to get my things I set them dow over there.the fight had my attention so I moved out the way as they scffuld.I think Chris could take him .he was drinking..everyone sat down it was like nothing happened..they both talked yo me going through the questions and statements...it was great...they I think we're opening for Stryper in Austin
It s a pleasure .thanks for doing this show.great idea .telling us about how these guys made there records, amazing down to the mic that was used.if your looking for any help,I have many years of TV radio cut ads and host Ed late 80 interviewing all the biggest bands in the world at that time.perry parris fb
I remember seeing WASP around Hollywood back in the early 80's and they were the shit back then. It was the glory days in that area w/bands like Ratt, Great White, Crue and WASP all beginning their big breaks. It'll never be the same again. lol
Agreed! Still, it's charming to hear Chris himself sing lines like "all you azzholes, you know who you are. You're just jealous, of me and my guitar!" ha ha.
Hey Blackie, check it out - your friends suck so bad and I noticed! I never knew why other band guys should want to hang out with a band that is not theirs, I hate that and it's really poison!!!
They were in a street gang TOGETHER too!!That's why he was called Blackie "doom brother" Lawless!Robbin Crosby was in the gang as well and where the King reference came from with Robbin!
My transcript button isn't working, perhaps there are not copy right permissions released on this; you know like for your book to that is W.A.S.P. somebody! Uli Roth. luv em!! :) Record me!!!
YES. Chris is sober. Chris is married to a woman in France. She has really helped him big time. She is reportedly his manager. Chris is happy now. Finally. No more vodka pool scenes.
I didnt know Chris modded his star to be a Tune O matic. Thats the guitar i associate with Chris.. He whips that thing around like its nothing on stage. They should reissue a Star by Jackson with a Tune O Matic
A part of me feels bad for Chris but he has repeatedly said that he was really there to make money; and he didnt care about promos, interviews, etc. If you don't put in the same effort as others in the band, why the F should you reap the same benefits as those who put more work into the project???
You bought that one album, you let her have...I bet it was expensive, cost your whole dinner table and a three months past, into years just sitting there. How stupid, but maybe it's an Eno production; Hoorahh! Good choice smellies sister...
I don't really like 'em, I think Ringo does maybe, idk, dc, suck off - eh; Beatle Baster.... (reminds me how much Glover sucks too, yawn, the drama) I wish I was you sweets, man you are u just take wild turns at your friendship baste, and probably stole his c.c, oh nark, baunk! : ) : (
A Manson guitar? really ? a dude who was a deranged, evil killer and you're going to honor him on your guitar? and what the fuck does Manson have to do with good rock music? absolutely nothing. Its not about music, its about promoting garbage
I could listen to you and Chris talk for hours. What a great interview.
Chris Holmes is going to be the 80s generation's Keith Richards - the guy who everyone thought would drink himself to death early on and ends up living forever instead.
Big respect for Chris Holmes

Only complaint about the interview. It wasn't long enough. I really enjoy listening to the stories.
Chris sounds really lucid here, which hasn't always been the case. His guitar work on the Headless Children album is exceptional, his finest moment.🤘🎸
Oh thank god, I always thought that was about me, and it's about them the nub body that don't pay attention to something really special and make up lies about each other! God!

Chris is such a dude. Still entertaining as hell!
Damn this dude is so straight. I love it! Another great interview bro!
What a sweetheart of a guy. Great interview.
You damn biatches learn - this is how you to be a guy!! : )
Chris had a Heart Of Gold!!
The sweetheart moment for me was when Chris told Don Costa he would chew his balls off and spit 'em back in his face on stage. Haha
This was great thank you ! :D Also little unknown trivia here : After Circus Circus they briefly were called Sister again before becoming Wasp . So they were called Sister twice.
Never knew that. I thought the Sister period was only in the late 70's. What's your source for that information?

Up until the Great White incident there was no code enforcement on pyro. I played in a band and we built our own.
Netflix need to make a show of young Chris w/ old Chris as the narrator
Very smart dude knows his stuff man.too bad he had substance abuse problems.what don't kill you makes you stronger 💪😎😎😎🤘🤘🤘

But you have to get a singer
Totally agree, he could go so much further with a dedicated singer

My original WASP album has "Winged Assassins" written on the spine.
Oh, cuz it's you Dave Mustaine!!!
Oh is that where he is talkiing about mean somebody, "and pick him up from jail?" Who did you call??
Oh i'm noticing a slight coincidence there; Jonathan KFD.
and I quote, "i don't know let's see what he thinks!" He wants to pick you up, huh! : )
Oh shit, are you all okay out there, I totally forgot.
Also could you ask Chris Holmes to confirm that Nikki Sixx was in Sister at the beginning please ?

Chris is the talent of WASP. Without…junk
Back in the day, I ignored WASP because I thought the name "Blackie Lawless" was effing stupid.
