I don't think I've ever been happier for a NFL player that doesn't even play for my team. Nick Foles deserved this win with how well he played and he's earned my respect till the day i die
I heard I think during the playoffs or Super Bowl, they were saying Foles was talking about retiring after his time as a backup in Kansas City. Something along the lines of "I don't feel like I have it anymore" kind of words. He definitely deserved it. I had a feeling when he came in to replace MVP season Wentz that we'd still be fine. I'm glad to be right and Foles is always an Eagle. He just throws for a different team right now.
@Costa Zambaras I would obviously prefer Wentz but that team had countless massive injuries that year and wasn't slowing down. And I know Foles is good so yeah, I kept defending the team when people said they would drop to 3rd seed at best and lose in the first round.
Costa Zambaras I agree with your comment, when Wentz got injured I thought there is no way in hell foles will be able to continue and making it through the playoffs led alone make it to the super bowl and beat the greatest quarterback of all time. 🤷🏽♂️
Chaosesoteriker I'm a Patriots fan but yeeeeesh... Don't be salty. Talk trash when that actually happens. Before that, give the man some credit and some time to prove you right or wrong.
Chaosesoteriker For all we know, Foles could be a starting QB on another team next year if they decide to trade him for more help for Wentz. Or keep him and he and Wentz could make kind of alternate with one another (kinda confusing, but thats what Rodgers and Favre did in 2007 I believe).
All due respect to Carson Wentz - who was having an MVP season and is a franchise-caliber QB, but there were situations in this game that required the years of game experience that a guy like Foles had. Just seemed like after all these years, the stars were finally aligned for the Eagles and for whatever reason, Foles was the right guy to steer the ship home.
Wentz didn’t throw 370 yards that whole season but hey that’s your opinion if you think he would of magically did it in the Super Bowl against Brady and the pats 😂
Do people realize he literally threw all perfect passes like he was possessed this game he played out of his mind. Foles is the greatest eagles qb all time
Donovan McNabb choked when he came back from he is injury to play the Patriots in the Super Bowl. I even said at the time that AJ Feely should've played that game. Nick Foles showed us why.

Including the Super Bowl. NOBODY though a 2nd string QB would take the playoffs (especially against the Vikes) and then we face Tom and his Patriots. St. Nick wasn't scared. He saw Brady as just a man. And he dominated the game, and even scored a touchdown himself. It was a close game but the Eagles had the lead for like 90% of the game. When the clock said 0:00 we all ran out on the tier and screamed and celebrated. Even the COs. The prison was in Harrisburg PA. Best Super Bowl party I ever had, and by far the best Super Bowl I've ever had. I even cried and called my dad the next day (he is a huge Eagles fan). No matter what the Eagles do after this, they took down the best QB to ever play the game, with a "2nd string" QB with a 1st string attitude. Now in 2022 we are heading into the playoffs after a crappy season because that's what we do!!!!
amanda miller Are you insane ? Wentz is a top 5 quarterback along with rodgers, wilson, brady and brees right now. Foles is nowhere near wentz's quality of play
Amanda, Foles was unfortunately railroaded by his former Eagles coach, Chip Kelly, and another horrible coach, Jeff Fisher. Anybody in the Philly area who knows football knew that Foles has a lot of talent, he was just never put in a real system suitable to his talents. He's a true read and react pocket QB with enough athletic ability to keep defenses honest. While Wentz certainly is more athletic and has a nice arm, Foles is probably a better QB in the purest sense at this level of his career. Wentz is still learning when he should keep the ball, make reads, and when he should tuck it and run or throw it away. Right now, he holds on to the ball far too long and depends too much on his athletic ability, which is why he has been injured so often.
I agree that Wentz is a great talent and definitely one of the league's up and coming stars, but I believe that as far as a "pure" QB, Foles is ahead of him. If you watched the Eagles this season, Wentz is still making the mistake of holding on to the ball far too long and relying on "athletic ability" rather than running the offense. Foles often would step up to make throws rather than either run it, or lock onto one read. That all being said, Wentz has a nice arm and a great work ethic and knows the offense. Foles simply had the advantage of being a bit more experienced, and he field judgment has always been highly regarded. With a few more years under his belt, Wentz will be a superstar. The Eagles were fortunate because they brought back Nick Foles at the perfect time of his career. He is in his prime and had just enough experience and QB savvy to be the perfect guy to step in for Wentz.
I'd never heard of him. But I could almost see lasers coming out of his eyes from very early in the game. And it wasn't just passing accuracy either ... he knew when to go off script. Carry the ball himself, or throw to somebody else. When he did the 1-2-1 for the trick play on 4th down, I was standing up and applauding. :) He IS a fantastic QB ... and I can't understand ANY of the comments suggesting that he should just be a substitute next season. You didn't get sacked in the Cup Final ... and threw winner after winner ... what more do you have to do?
Hah that would work too! I doubt Foles would want to stay as a backup after his contract ends in 2018 and go to a team that can use him properly like how doug pederson adapted him to the offense
Nick Foles impressed me when qb at Arizona...hit his receivers all day long....but they couldn't hold on...i thought...if this guy gets a chance to throw to guys with good hands.... I super good guy, humble and a fine all round athlete... Happy for he and his family.....his wife has been sick...played for she and his daughter... Congratulations Nick and The City of Brotherly Love!
Some of Foles throws are truly the best I have ever seen. Look at the Clements TD long thrown into good triple coverage up against the end of end zone. A few inches in any direction and no TD. He did this over and over beating a good defense not exploiting a bad one. He played like this for much of 2013. Reminds me of other great back ups like Tom Brady, Kurt Warner, and the like.
Being from Dallas, I learned to hate the Eagles. But I routed for them all the way mostly because I'm sick of the Patriots. But the Eagles played so damn good, I am truly impressed. Congratulations!!!
The best play that Foles made was at 2:18. That throw is just insane. That ball was dropped in a bucket from 25 yards out. Between 3 Pats defenders and he floated it in. What a throw
Nick Foles may never have another game like this one, but he brought his A+ game when it counted. That final TD drive was the kind the great QBs get done.
Ertz had possession of the ball and then crossed over into the endzone, it popped out and then he caught it without it touching the ground. It was already a touchdown before it popped out and it still is when he caught it again
yep, i don't know what the announcers were thinking there. once the ball crossed the plane of the goal line the play was over. it's a TD. Doesn't matter whether the ball popped out when he hit the ground in the end zone. The refs and the review got the call right, just the announcers were out to lunch and made it seem like some kind of controversy when it wasn't.
jdoc1357b9g That is not exactly true, he has to become a runner before the ball pops out to be a completion. But he is clearly a runner, so the TD stands.
Joao Pedro - I thought that was obvious though. He caught the ball on the 6 yard line, turned up field, took 3 steps, pointed the ball forward with both hands tightly around it, and dove into the end zone. This all happened quickly, but the idea that he was still in the "process" of making the catch when crossing the plane 6 yards later, as the announcers were trying to say, never made sense. Even Michaels @8:20 says "he has control of it here", which should have told him the ball was caught already and he was running at that point, so it's just a matter of crossing the plane.
Honestly, Matt Ryan played well enough to win that SB. Having watched that SB many times; the coach is a very bad situational football coach. Take a look at the 4th qtr again. Multiple times in CLEAR running situations he put Ryan is position to fail by having him drop back straight into sacks. I am an Eagles fan, if our coach Perderson was your coach for that game Falcons are champs.
Same here. Born and raised, and still reside in Philly. I don't want to live anywhere else. I love in here. I'm next to the mothership (the Linc), and the best fans in the NFL.

The more I watch Foles highlights in this game the more I’m impressed...he made at least 5-6 uber-elite level throws you usually see once or twice a game by elite QB’s...especially those deep throws to Jeffery and Clement and the touch throws on flag routes that you rarely see QB’s complete...he had HOF-level accuracy in this game
Epic game. Not just because of The Pat's losing, but Nick Foles performance throughout the season, nfc championship game and this game. I'll never forget it. Coming from a Cowboys fan.
All respect to Brady, 500+ yards passing is an impressive feat that not many QBs can achieve. But I still think Foles had the more impressive game. Look at all the tight window throws Foles had to make. 1:20 and 4:37 were dimes.
Foles clearly outplayed brady. Brady's passing yards were inflated because Phi was in prevent defense at the end of both halves. And then cry brady didn't even shake his hand after the SB.
Conker Squirrel that's what I've been saying! Patriots fans love to bring his stats up but really Philly was playing soft defense. If they played defense like in the first quarter, Rocking cooks and what not, new England doesn't put up 24 points on them.
@@mr.starkidontfeelsogood7413 Ur full of crap... Im a patriots fan and Im gonna congratulate u on a great game.... But don't give me this crap... Ur defense got torched bc it had a bad game plan and it got exploited.... Foles played great.... But ur defense gave up 33 and it probably should have given up even more for how many times I saw receivers running wide open
@@clintfowler1526 it ain't my defense chief. Not an eagles fan. Just hate Patriots fans with a passion. Worst fans in NFL history. The eagles were playing soft defense but still ended up winning. End of story.
Bringing back Foles was one of the best moves the eagles could have ever done. I bet whoever had him before is kicking themselves for letting him become a free agent.
I have watched these highlights multiple times, two things jump out at me, first the Eagle offensive line was lights out, second Nelson Agholor was outstanding, . Great game, I have never been happier watching a sporting event.
From a patriots fan, congratulations eagles, was a good game and Foles played really well, you have now two of the best QB on the league, now the question is, will Foles stay when Wentz comes back? Congratulations, hope to see ya next year.
Jonathan Griffith look up his contract. If hes on the team in february of 2019. The rest of the 3 years is voided and hes a free agent. It would be retarded for the Eagles to not trade him while teams will be high on him. Buffalo is looking for a qb, why not try and get both their 1st round picks for this upcoming draft
People kept calling Foles a back up but this guy is as good at or better than half the starters in the league. I never liked the trade Eagles made for Bradford and letting him go. As an Eagles fan I'm really happy my team won but I'm more excited for this guy and what he has achieved.
As a Chiefs fan, I was pissed they dumped him and kept Alice Smith. We could have at least won as much with Foles, at half the price. Lucky for you, the Redskins will find this out the hard way.
I remember watching Foles play QB for Austin Westlake (same high school as Drew Brees) against Southlake Carroll for the Texas 5-A (the largest classification at the time) championship game in 2006. They lost that game but I was super impressed with Foles and followed his career at Arizona in college and the NFL after that. Proud to see him accomplish a Superbowl win and MVP.
They should have kept Foles. What more could they want. Even if he stayed as back up. I think the eagles should have done more to keep this group of players together. Might have got 1 more Superbowl out of them.
You dont get rid of a dude that won your organization their 1st super bowl. Draft picks happen every year. Nick foles Eagles chemistry is a special thing. Sad for eagles fan

:)
He IS a fantastic QB ... and I can't understand ANY of the comments suggesting that he should just be a substitute next season.
You didn't get sacked in the Cup Final ... and threw winner after winner ... what more do you have to do?
Habsfan34, "Nowhere near"? The man just won the Super Bowl fool. And was named MVP of the game. What the hell are you talking about?
Enjoyed this as much as sb 50
Congrats eagle fans!
-broncos fan
George Hennen same here. Broncos always seem to be great one season and really bad the next lol. Broncos for life.
Hey you guys might get Foles soon! Hope if the Broncos do get em they do the offense properly lol.
Tolerable I think Foles goes Cardinals. I like him alot, I think he'll do well there. Broncos goin Cousins and to da Super Bowl!!
Hah that would work too! I doubt Foles would want to stay as a backup after his contract ends in 2018 and go to a team that can use him properly like how doug pederson adapted him to the offense
Tolerable honestly i could see the eagles winning again. And im okay with that because patriots wouldnt
Legendary performance.
One of two QBs to beat Brady. Congrats to the Eagles.
brady has lost to over 35 QBs
SirBokChoySr lmaooo i guess we just ignore all the teams that best them in the playoffs
...I'm talking about Super Bowl guys.
Tom Brady is now 5 - 3 in Superbowl, hard to say he is the GOAT
He’s obviously talking about Super Bowl, don’t be stupid, what’s the name of the video we’re watching
Some of Foles throws are truly the best I have ever seen. Look at the Clements TD long thrown into good triple coverage up against the end of end zone. A few inches in any direction and no TD. He did this over and over beating a good defense not exploiting a bad one. He played like this for much of 2013. Reminds me of other great back ups like Tom Brady, Kurt Warner, and the like.
ik this is late, but this was the worst defense the patriots have had in a long time lol.....but foles was still amazing
@@suryap4527 Ik this is late, but the Patriots had the 5th best ranked defense that season, this was not the worst defense they had by a long shot
AGREE. Unbelievable toss, the subtly is profound ... the soft touch throw that jagged 3 Patriots defenders that looked on in disbelief.
On;y topped by the toss to Clement 3:13 another CRAZY floated pass to an almost unknown player!
the endzone pass to clement was just as insane.
Nick Foles may never have another game like this one, but he brought his A+ game when it counted. That final TD drive was the kind the great QBs get done.
baraxor everyone thought that game against minnesota was once in z lifetime, but foles played when it counted. Just like today
Nick Foles will always be my favorite football player. Amazing player and person!!
It's official, Nick Foles is a better receiver than Tom Brady...
King of AWESOMENESS!!! I'm a huge brady guy but I think I'm just gunna have to admit Jerry rice is a better WR than Brady
King of AWESOMENESS!!! So is your grandma
*player
If the football had less air in it, maybe Brady could have reeled it in LMAO
Kool Person lmaao genius
Congratulations Eagle's! So happy for Nick Foles. :)

Remember when people said the Eagles would go nowhere with Foles. Where are those guys right now?
A1 Video gamer to be fair as a raiders fan that Christmas game he played was atrocious. Neither team was wanted to win that game
isaaclikesturtles I meant the people that said he’d go one and done in the playoffs
A1 Video gamer well they had good reason to believe that
isaaclikesturtles I don't know why people slept on Files. Did they forget that he tied the record for most td passes in a game?
I even saw eagles fans say they were done for.
Nick Foles and the Eagles put the Falcons and Matt Ryan to shame in two ways.
pats* and tom brady*
Both
Honestly, Matt Ryan played well enough to win that SB. Having watched that SB many times; the coach is a very bad situational football coach. Take a look at the 4th qtr again. Multiple times in CLEAR running situations he put Ryan is position to fail by having him drop back straight into sacks. I am an Eagles fan, if our coach Perderson was your coach for that game Falcons are champs.
lets go eagles won the super bowl
Who’s here after BDN clutched up for the bears?!
We love the guy

The way Nick can throw between 2-3 defenders is a masterpiece!
He can play.. I remember when he had a 7 TD game.. This was no fluke and hope he has a great career. Good for him and congrats Eagles fan.
Even though that was against the bottom dwelling scrubs raiders, it was still impressive.
He had a chance to break the record but they took him out of game because the Eagles was blowing the Raiders out.
@@garywilson5152 the eagles weren’t that good that year either ahahah. Think we lost in the wildcard to the saints 26-24 that year
Great to be an eagle fan and from Philly I love it!
Endless love from Pittsburgh✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿
Same here. Born and raised, and still reside in Philly. I don't want to live anywhere else. I love in here. I'm next to the mothership (the Linc), and the best fans in the NFL.
Nick Foles has instantly become the best QB any of us have ever seen
Rugby is one of the most physical of sports. Internationally the pinnacle of the sport lies in the Rugby World Cup. Other tournaments such as the Tri Nations (including South Africa, New Zealand and Australia), Six Nations (including England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Italy and France) and the Heineken Cup are other tournaments which are held in high esteem throughout.
He wasn't even the best QB in that game
Congrats eagle's fans. Raiders fan here i hate the patriots and seeing tge eagles kick thier ass made my day.
Welcome to Chicago. Please repeat this Magic for us. BearDown.
Man I’m hoping he can have another season like this #beardown
Ben Truong you forgot the dime at 220. That ball dropped so perfectly in there to Alshon.
From backup to super bowl mvp
From saints fan
Marla Figueroa he was a starter and elite player so
Them Westlake QB are winners for sure!
Dude honestly, the Saints were the real contenders for the NFC Championship game against the eagles for sure
And got snookered.
picked the Super bowl to have the best game of his career. Finesse!
The Philadelphia Eagles deserve this Superbowl... They played their hearts out all season long. And what a great storyline for Nick Foles!
Bringing back Foles was one of the best moves the eagles could have ever done. I bet whoever had him before is kicking themselves for letting him become a free agent.
Goombah Marcel it’s Carson Wentz team when he’s healthy. No debate
guess winning a superbowl isn't enough to start a team . we could win a few more with foles.
Oof, this aged badly.
@@davidparkes7741 Carson Wentz aged badly
@@aesir1ases64 Absolutely. I honestly feel like he's about to be a career back-up QB after this season with the Colts.
St Nick u r forever a legend in Philly we will never forget u for saving our season
I have watched these highlights multiple times, two things jump out at me, first the Eagle offensive line was lights out, second Nelson Agholor was outstanding, . Great game, I have never been happier watching a sporting event.
The accuracy on those throws though! Boy is a beast!
From a patriots fan, congratulations eagles, was a good game and Foles played really well, you have now two of the best QB on the league, now the question is, will Foles stay when Wentz comes back?
Congratulations, hope to see ya next year.
Wentz is our guy, no doubt. Without Carson, there is no SB trophy
Foles is either gonna stay in Philly or retire. He doesn't wanna play anywhere else.
Jonathan Griffith lol hes gonna get traded for some first round picks
Peyton Kennedy nope.
Philly fan NE fan any fan aside. This is probably the most back and forth blow for blow most entertaining SBs ever
Gary Wilson Alice smith XDDDDD
Bradford is overrated and overpaid.
I'm sorry you died. You shouldn't have taunted the mountain. Should've just finished him off.
Glad I was able to relive the 2017-18 eagles Superbowl 52 victory. Watched it live that night and I'm still happy.
Nick foles is a legend forever and ever
He was just fearless, like he's been here before. He outgunned Brady, which not many can do.
Congrats to the Eagles!👍💥🏈🇺🇸 They worked hard & they deserve to have the first world Champ's Win! I miss living in Philly.
Congrats egales!!! I TOLD YOU GUYS are going to win the Superbowl!!! I'm of proud of you guys :). -From a Saints fan. :)

Well y'all blew us out 48-7 lmao
When your backup QB is more accomplished than most of the QBs in the League
UnPhayzable bro you again
But your starter isnt
It's obvious you know nothing about football. Learn football, then post your comments. Wentz is an elite QB.
I despise how people say, "When..." or, "That awkward moment when...", et cetera. Speak in complete sentences.

Alshon Jeffrey = pure baller 100%
Crazy Steve Bit weird that the Eagles haven't retired Harold Carmichael's "#17"(LOL).
Agholor too he stepped up this year last year he was complete garbage
Nj.reese23 ya
Alshon didn’t record a single 100 yrd receiving game all season but was steady. Not exactly “baller” but was needed and a nice edition.
Jeffrey Lee good amount of touchdowns too, also Nelson and Ertz had career years the ball was spread around a lot

nick foles i just wanna say thank you man philadelphia always be home for you
Thank you Nick Foles from all Steelers fans. Also, thanks refs and NFL replay booth for restoring justice with the perfect call on the Clement TD.
Nick Foles and Eagles were from a different planet this night. Pats did all they could, and Thor smashed his mighty hammer down on them.
Foles was brilliant!
I’m so happy for Nick Foles I almost cried. His was a true Super Bowl performance today.
Iggles are back with a largely different team (save for 9 fellas from that 2017-18 Super Bowl squad)!
Superb performance! He was so calm and cool. He brought down Goliath.🙏
Congratulations to Nick for winning the SB MVP! Go Eagles!
