- It was never right, but I didn't know why. Pucks were constantly popping out of my glove unless they hit EXACTLY on the sweet spot... until now.
Here's the radical mod done on my Warrior G4 Pro glove and how it changed the performance.

For sure - you can get a hold of him through Source For Sports London. Their number is (519) 673-3810 - - just phone and ask for someone in the goalie department - -then let them know what's up and that you wanted Jim Sidwell to do some work on your glove. He isn't in there every day - but that should get you in touch with him. Let me know if you have trouble getting in touch with him. The guy is a magician!

No - but I didn't really reach out to ask them about it. So that's on me.
Bringing this older vid back - I picked up a 2nd hand warrior glove that got that same issue in the T. How much did the surgery run, cost wise?
I think it cost around $100 to fix it up.

Can u also guide me how can I clean my kit like my pads, chester, gloves and all the stuff !!!
I'm using one kit from 3 yrs bt don't know how to clean it....
pads you can clean with a magic eraser. The other stuff I take to the hockey shop and they have a way to clean/disinfect it. I know some guys will wash theirs in the tub and set it out to dry on a sunny day - - just make sure you give it lots of time to dry.

Maria that looks way better! I have a G3 that I skate laced the single T pocket and I absolutely love that glove.
It feels so much better now with the single T - - I would definitely go with a single T next time I get a new glove. What gloves have you had before the G3? I've had Vaughn and CCM and the Warrior has been the best. I would be interested in trying a Brian's at some point.
@@goalietraining I have a Brians Heritage Alite with a double T. I’ve used Vaughn, Reebok, CCM, Brians, and Warrior. As far as all around glove goes the Warrior has been my favorite but the Brians is second. It stays open with ease but the full closure takes some squeeze where the Warrior closes with no effort…and you can’t beat the protection. Skate lace is definitely the way to go!
@@crazyb98 I like the feel of the Brian's gloves too - if I were going to try a different brand, that's the one I would go with. You've used a LOT of different gloves.

@@crazyb98 Used gear is a great way to go - just like you said, to figure out what you like without going all in. The place I buy some of my gear takes trade-ins and sells used gear too, so I always feel good doing a trade in so like you said someone else can get good gear at a great price. ... and thank you for your kind words.
Surgery? OH OH, you had me worried. The glove looks great, how does it smell? hahaha, kidding .
ha ha - sorry to scare you :) - - glove actually smells pretty good so far, I am pretty careful to dry it out fully

Yeah, I thought the double would give me a bigger pocket, but it sure didn't play that way - this one is great!
So basically if someone is thinking on a warrior double t, it’s better to think on a single one?

Your glove looks fantastic! I love the lace colour. I've been really wanting to redo my glove with skate lace but have been afraid to do it myself because I don't want to ruin it. Almost wondering if it'd be worth the drive to London to have him re-lace mine. XD He did such a great job with yours.
I honestly think it would... and he doesn't do things just to make it look cool - he talked to me all about how you have to use the right kind of lace, etc.

Currently, I have a ccm glove and it fits a bit big. I’ve had it for about a year and still can’t close it all the way. Any suggestions on new gloves, or places I can go to get that problem fixed?
See if 'the guy' at your local goalie store can do anything with it - but if you are looking at a new one, I think Warrior and Brian's feel the very best off the wall.

I just cleaned up a used Bauer 2S Supreme I got on Sideline swap. The glove didn’t close very well, the one piece palm was flattened out, had a slight finger roll, overall the glove was just trash. I gathered a game plan and felt well they could repair Steve Austin so too could I bring this glove back to life. Blew it apart, washed it, got rid of the Paul Bunyan lumberjack smell, checked all the foam, repaired a few areas missing some thread, repaired the plastic cuff and finger board, put some brand new lacing and a brand new skate lace pocket. The glove closes like butter! The repair gave the glove back it’s huge pocket where pucks die! I’m glad to see you were able to have your glove repaired versus giving up on it! Looks amazing with that huge pocket, and green skate lace!

@@goalietraining I wish I was smothering pucks. Rinks shut down where I live. I cleaned up the glove as a labor of love and so it doesn’t go to the land of misfit toys, I mean equipment!
