Open ice hitting requires great skill, it’s a real shame fewer & fewer guys seem to know how or care to learn. At least there’s still a few who provide highlights
@@chairmanofthebored6860 I don't know what game you were watching but Dumba's hit was clean. Dumba was on both feet while he made the hit and 'driving up' has never been a penalty. An injury caused by a clean hit has also never been a penalty. The concussion came from Pavelski's head hitting the ice. It also isn't late as it is within 0.8s of the player releasing the puck (which according to NBC Sports is the time allowed for a hit after releasing the puck). Respectfully, you are 100% incorrect.
I always wonder if karma is a thing with the "dirty" hits teams already out of the playoffs, which i for one never ever expected! What a weird playoffs this is....
Ya know. When I see the title "Hardest Hits of Round 1". Personally I would expect to NOT see Dirty cheap shots like the one done to the Tampa Defensemen, or Jared McCann that CHEAP AS ALL HELL hit from Cale "The Fail" Makar had now earned him a title as The New Rat. Dirty hits hard or not shouldn't be in the title. Unless you change it to "Hardest and Dirtiest Hits of Round One". In my opinion
@@Max_m And before you ATTEMPT to compare the Eberle hit on Cogliano. Allow me to head you off. #1 Cogliano put himself in that position. He turned his back and lowered his head ON HIS OWN. No one pushed him or put their first against his face and PASTED him against the glass like Makar did to McCann. NO ONE KNEW that Cogliano was hurt until AFTER THE GAME. Unlike McCann who missed the rest of the series and half the Dallas series. Makar should have gotten a 2 game suspension the same way that the Lighting player injured the Leafs player. It was 100% intentional and purposely an attempt to injure the Krakens best scorer. Should Eberle have hit Cogliano the way he did ABSOLUTELY NOT. He deserved the penalty but not a suspension the league got that part right at least. You can't penalize someone for an injury when you didn't even know about it until after the game.
There is a difference between intent to injure and a clean hit causing an injury. A clean hit causing an injury has never been a penalty, and it very hard to call intent to injure. It is usually called in response to a hit which is late, boarding, charging, from behind, etc. Trouba's hits in these videos didn't do any of these.
That was a dirty hit from behind boarding by Maroon from the lighting. Don’t know how he didn’t get five minute major and game suspension and 10 misconduct for that it was so dirty and from behind was unbelievable how he didn’t even get a penalty blows my mind how all these teams can hit like that but once the leafs do it they automatically are out of the game what a joke
like half of these are cheap shots lol which inherently aren’t even good hits. pretty unimpressive to hit someone from behind or way after the puck is gone
@@majoraswrath240 dude really. Did you even bother to read the report SERIOUSLY? The league said that it wasn't intent to injury why CAUSE THE INJURY WASN'T FOUND TO AFTER THE GAME HE DIDN'T MISS A SHIFT. Eberle already committed to the hit there's nothing he could do he even tried to stop you can see his ankles turn but it was too late. Do your homework or learn to read one or the other.

Luke Schenn the Human Eraser should have been on here a few times. That guy is a hitting machine
Was waiting for this one !
I ❤ this channel
Heavy hitters for sure , a fantastic set of clips , the best part of the game is the contact ..
Hits by Trouba, McAvoy, and Clifton are so fun to watch.
And dumbas hit was amazing to
@cadesarkilahti7460 yeah, and I think he's a great hitter, but he just isn't in as many videos as I would like.
Biggest hit of the first round are the bruins getting choked out by the panthers.
Trouba's hit was Stevens-esque
He's did that all season long
Great clean check/hit....
And a great example of why Devils fans deserve no sympathy lmao
@@GiantsFan1734 True they won't get it from me...

Nothing like walking out of the ice rink into the warm California sun!
who would have thought the cheapest of them would go to Cale
That was so dirty. But they only gave 1 game suspension
I give him a season suspension
Boston choking big time made my year! ...great fun!😅
great vid u missed the one in game 1 10 seconds in from a Canes player
You’re telling me there was TWO HIPCHECKS in the Bruins Panthers series?!?!
why would you even include the matt martin cross check
That hit on Timo was clean. Timo shouldn’t have been skating with his head down
5:19
At least 6 of these hits look dirty af. 2 of them really stick out to me, the one on McCain and the one on Pavelski
Well luckily “look” and “are” don’t mean the same thing as none of them where dirty.
@@Max_m Bruh Makar went full Dale Hunter and got suspended lmao
Staal being hip checked like that has to be mentioned more lol
How can you not have Robertson’s hit from game 5?
Dumba’s hit was a beauty!
Should've been a major. Dumba left his feet, drove upward and caused a concussion.
@CHAIRMAN OF THE BORED and the hit was on an unsuspecting player

Meier 2023 Kariya 2003 same kind of hit
There are so many late hits well after the puck is gone 😅
Nah dude
Watch more hockey because the NHL allows hits within 0.8s after releasing the puck, according to NBC sports.
when the Trouba hit happened, all of Devils Twitter complaining yet they act like they didn’t watch Scott Stevens for years.
Trouba train !!!
Is it just me it did hits used to be more violent
Why were the hits in the beginning penalties?
Where is the hit on Cogliano?
