Peugeot has no problem with styling and technology. They have to advertise more and give a good warranty to prove they are reliable.
ိMucist in Denmark they give 10 years or 200.000 km warranty, if you have your service done at Peugeot :)

I saw this car parked outside my local marks and Spencer’s and everyone was staring at this car!!!!!!
No clue why people are complaining about it being a 1.6, they’re getting 225 bhp in a much smaller package than the 2.0 most cars use, more economical, lighter, lower emissions, it’s a really really good engine. Plus for a 4cyl it actually sounds really nice.

1.6 with 225hp = high rpm, turbo = shorter engine life. For 200 + hp for me the engine is 3.0 + liters
They wouldn’t make it if it wouldn’t last long. Maybe it won’t last 250k but I reckon 125k is certain, and that’s all anyone is ever going to need.

Maybe they have changed but my friend has a 2008 that he cannot drive because he cannot find spare parts for the engine. He's only owned it for 1 year and the car is already useless

Sat in this car about 4 months ago (at the Essen auto classic show), very nice in- and outside! Definitely a better (looking) car than a c200 or 320i

The 508 has such a gorgeous design, inside and outside. I even prefer it over the Arteon, but the engines are too small unfortunately. You'd expect a 1.6 in a 308, not in a 508.

Arteon is way more elegant, stylish.. gorgeous car. For me, there is no better looking car than Arteon, for the moment. VW made it.
Peugot 607 still the best
That 1.6THP also makes 270hp. There are plenty of 1.6T engines that are able to produce that amount of power. Count Fiesta ST MK7 which with few mods can be a daily, issue free 250+hp car.
Peugeot has definitely recovered from that point in the 00s when their stuff was cheaply built

I'm from Romania. I also own a Peugeot, the 206 SW model. The car is great, in 11 years I've had no problems with it (only changed the distribution belt, made oil changes, things that all car owners need to change periodically ), despite the fact that 206 models are among the worst. I think that Peugeot cars are reliable and their maintenance is not that expensive as some think. It is worth the investment.

My uncle has Peugeot 307sw 2.0 HDI.
That car drives like a charm.
He only changed front windshield because of a rock flew on the car and he changed the clutch at 290+k kilometers.
He drove that car at offroad, because he loves going fishing, he drove it on highways.
5 people in the car, full trunk with luggage and the car did almost 200km/h.
He still owns that car, but he got himself Kia Sorento.
Peugeot are reliable cars with very good designs.

Quick tip, you don't have to press the parking break button before you take off. Just put it into D and press the gas pedal and it will go. Same when you park. Just turn of the car and it will apply the parking break AND put it into P for you.

Wife just ordered one, in midnight sparkle black colour omg. Gotta say blew us away, the tech on this thing, the rear clusters, the dials the whole car is stunning and she just traded in a 3 year old c220 mag line with premium package for this. Wifecloves her cars and said it's is better than the c220.
And the SW version is even more beautiful (most beautiful car of 2019 to me).

Love the positioning of the instruments, as well as the dashboard design. Seems like it goes reasonably well but really, I think Peugeot is the only manufacturer to have only a 1.6 liter engine in its range topper in this segment. With more power and torque, I think the 508 would become an even more compelling proposition seeing as to how it appears to corner with hardly any body roll whatsoever. Sounds like the soundproofing is also quite good given that the 508 has frameless side windows in all four doors. Looks really distinctive and stylish from the outside too. Thanks for posting the POV drive.

I see so many people complaining about the small engine. Peugeot wouldn't profit off an engine with more than 2l displacement. It wouldn't be able to compete with other European cars of that range (specially German cars)
That 1.6 (albeit enhanced) can deliver over 300 HP no problem, see 308 RC. Since they're going hybrid and full electric anyway, they don't need to mass-produce bigger engines. That 1.6 is pretty well developed at this point. Since it's debut in 2006/2007 they improved it a lot and they now have 12 years of experience and feedback. PSA already proved they can make powerful hybrid drivetrains with this engine, see 308 R Hybrid.

It's shitty 1.6 THP engine. This engine won't do 50k km without breaking
lol they are in other peugeots/citroens and since 2013 they are problem free. A lot have done 150 000km with no problems.

God in France we have very strict antipolution laws, which leads to smaller and smaller engines (like in all EU)
Master Alpha ok but out of EU make other engine choices like in Asia especially middle east we need more power and tourqe to make journey easier cause we use car very alot in trip and travelling and have big country and long roads
