Railway steam locomotives are painted black most of the time. When a new engine was introuced to the press and the railway companies the locomotive was painted grey. That was done for a better visibility to the photo press and the invited guests. YOU SHOULD HAVE PAINTED THE STEARMAN TANK PLUS ITS PARTS grey.
Painting plastic parts is not trivial and frankly not worth the effort for a video. We actually considered molding them in different colors (i.e. outer baffle green; middle baffle blue etc) but it really complicates production. Besides, everyone wants the production parts in black!
Looks well made! Is it possible to fill and pour the chemicals in a fast and steady matter without bubbling and spitting? I mean is the venting hole big enough?
I just got my tank today. I am pretty impressed with its construction and design. Now to go shoot my 4x5 negatives.
I've just purchased one of that!!
Thanks for idea, project, video and all!!!!!!
Great product. Will buy one as soon as possible. Thanks.
Wonderful! I am going to order a tank right now! (9 April 2017, Palm Sunday)
Now in stock at shop.stearmanpress.com!
Cool! ✌🏼

Yes, fill/drain time is under 10 seconds.
Fucking amazing
Does it works with 9x12cm sheet film ?
You'd have to modify the holders:
