LOVE this song AND great interview supporting the reason for it! Kudos to Nick & Stuart for putting it out there (& I hope Steve & Jez have since come around/have been saved!) 😉

OMG...almost 40 years old! What a find! These guys are always a good interview. And I can't believe they're being interviewed by Sheila Walsh, currently a regular on the Christian tv network, Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) in the USA. I wonder if I would have liked many/any of the other bands/artists this show featured? Cool! ❤☮🌎

I have a question. Should we forgive friends who lie and don't ask for forgiveness? I had someone do something to me that for me is near unforgivable. I love the Extra Play cassette but I always fast foward past this track. Reminds me of who I can't forgive.. maybe someday ill grow into it. Such a good sounding song. Im real sorry though, I simply cannot see.

Forgiveness is the hato take when you've been wronged by somebody, believe me I know! The key to forgiveness is remembering that God forgave us our sins when we didn't deserve it, and we must also, likewise, forgive others the same way He forgave us, just as it states in the Bible: If we don't forgive others God cannot forgive us. We simply need to remind ourselves we aren't perfect either and have sinned as others have sinned against us, so in remembering that, it softens our hearts & humbles us to our own wrongdoing - we are also like the offenders that way - ultimately making it easier to forgive others (I think). No, forgiveness shouldn't be confused with trusting someone and welcoming them back in our lives again if they haven't repented. But you can still forgive someone without having to continue a relationship with them. If they haven't repented, then you can simply pray for them that God will lead them to repentance, and then you can reconcile with them if they do, ... so forgiveness you can do for anybody no matter what stage of maturity they are.

i loved "Too Shy" back before i was a christian. I read an article that one of the band members was Christian. So, which way did the band go?

After about 3 years, the band broke up. Stuart Croxton Neale (keyboards) has his conversion story on You Tube and is a full tilt Christian, and bass player Nick Beggs (who was the more vocal Christian in Kajagoogoo/Kaja) has said how Christianity helped him get thru a challenging time in his life (his mother died when he was still a teenager) but at some point in his 40s he totally left the fold and now feels (to quote one of his songs) "life is a chemical reaction". The other two, no idea what their present day views on religion are. ❤☮🌎

Oh, and I forgot. Nick Beggs also was a member of the band Iona (Christian progressive Celtic) for a few years. ❤☮🌎

@@suzannezoubeck5216I remember mentioning something a few years ago to Nick on Twitter about God and he told me he didn't believe in God. Such a shame but each to their own.

Its ok. The younger versions of ourselves are the cooler more in touch self. We all get old and stupid eventually. Hehe. @PlasticGirl65

I think there are two bass lines in this song, one of them is played with a freatless bass.

From what I've read, on this song Beggs was playing a Wal Mk1 bass and while you can get one fretless, the info I saw said the one used on this tune was fretted (though on other tracks on the lp Islands he does play fretless bass). This performance is lip-synced so what he's playing on this clip doesn't have to have anything to do with what's on the record. The headstock on this bass doesn't appear to be a Wal Mk1 so not sure what he's playing here (the man owned a few basses over the years). ❤☮🌎
