They tanked and broke up after firing Limahl. Only someone who’s an amateur that’s NOT in the music business would make such a statement plus Limahl was one of the writers of Too Shy which is very important.
"Too Shy" was credited to Limahl as well. He was actually credited 8/10 songs from "White Feathers" for lyrics. The music was credited to Kajagoogoo (all members), the lyrics were either just Limahl or him with Nick Beggs. Too shy wasn’t credited to Limahl, so he didn’t write that hit song. If the band wrote it then why shouldn’t they sing it? Limahl was just a front man. He did what he did so he had to go. It just goes to show that the real geniuses were the people playing the music not the person singing the lead vocal with the weird hairdo. It’s sad that their fans don’t see it that way. Nick beggs is a superb bass player and it’s strange he chose here to perform without a bass. Singing lead and playing the bass can be done. Perfect examples look at Sting and mark king from level 42
He was more than just "a front man", plus he was the one who met Nick Rhodes and got them signed in the first place. Of course this doesn't mean that the band weren't great musicians. I personally love all of their albums from the '80s, but Beggs' vocals just weren't nearly as good as his bass playing.
@@kingperalta 100% !!!
Does anyone know the name of that bassist (not nick)
All is in description - it is John Read.
go nick go
Why is Beggs wearing a gun?
For safety reasons. The show was performed in the Netherlands 😂
No one can replace Lilmahl.
Not sure about that.
Good in the different style :)
Oui je suis limahl est irremplaçable ❤❤❤❤❤
Wrong decision to kick Limahl out of the band...
I Begg to differ.
リマールはバンドのギャラの50%を要求したとんでもない奴だった。それを当時、一切公表せず、音楽だけで勝負した4人は素晴らしかったが、リマール事件が足を引っ張って、音楽性を無視された。
Nick just didnt have the looks in comparison to Limahl. Also tended to over emphasise the lyrics.....without his brilliant bass in view the whole thing was gonna crash swiftly.
True, what a pity 😢
They had Nick why did they need Limahl???
lol
Wait¡ who is this? No Limahl
They got rid of Limahl thought he gave them a bubble gum image and Nick Beggs was already in the band on Fretless Bass Guitar he took over on vocals so!
Why the gun? Ridiculous
just nick beggs being nick beggs, you should see the tomfoolery he's up to today
If he also wear Cowboy Hat. He can easily acting in Cowboy Movie. His costume also works well with him haha.
@@crustytoenails6664 I actually miss Nick Beggs as Kajagoogoo lead singer. As a singer he's very cute and funny personality but also have a good voice. Because when he's went to co-formed "Ellis Beggs and Howard" it was more darker tone.
It's a holster for his 🎤
You just don't understand Nick's craziness 😂
beggs is extra bass player and good back vox but here we see group of talented musicans..not kajagoogoo
So much fairlight sequence backing tracks going on, to beef up the sound.
Bull, it's ppg ,jp8 ,dx , movement systems drum and unlike a lot of others the parts are played live
@@cnfuzz Ha Ha! Love a bit of satire. And naivety.
@@md-ps2hx the tape parts running alongside are overdubs of the same keyboards ,tape plays where he has not enough hands to cover them ( like jp8 flutes in turn your back on me or PPG brass in Lions mouth for instance) but it's not fairlight
Just not right.
Who is the male backing vocal?
Stuart Neale (keyboards) was always doing backing vocal, so is here.
Awesome.. but i do wish they had at least kept Limahl in a lil box 📦 , they could let him out for TooShy.
this video is so weird
why
What were they thinking? Taking the bass away from Nick?
