The recording comes from live performance at Hammersmith Odeon in west London (a live entertainment performance venue, originally built as a cinema). It was the last performance for British leg of KajaGooGoo Islands Tour 1984.
The BBC Transcription Services started life in the mid-1930s as the London Transcription Service, it's now called BBC Radio International. BBC Transcription Services discs were only made available to overseas radio stations for broadcast purposes and were not made available for sale to the general public. However, in the early 90s many international BBC libraries sold their stocks to the public. The programmes covered every part of the BBC's output, including all types of music, drama, religious and children's programmes and comedy. Typically BBC Transcription Services pressed 100 copies of each disc only with instructions to the overseas radio network to destroy the disc at the end of the licence period.
This particular vinyl of BBC Transcription Services with KajaGooGoo (CN 4432/S, In Concert 336) was released internally on 27 August 1984. Broadcast was done live on BBC Radio 1 on 3 July 1984. It has never been re-aired since its original broadcast, opposite to similar BBC Transcription vinyl with KajaGooGoo from 1983: In Concert 310. The last one was remastered and is widely available as CD, MP3 etc.

Quick question? Why is there only one full live show performance of Kajagoogoo performing with Limahl from 1983? You would figure there would some bootlegs out there since they played so many live shows with Limahl before they let him go.

There are actually 2 full live shows recorded with Limahl. One is the video of Hammersmith Odeon performance on 31.05.1983 and it is available here: ruclips.net/video/rA9g0WCz6sw/видео.html . Second one is another BBC Transcription Service vinyl: In Concert 310, which was remastered and is today widely available as audio on CD. MP3 etc. That was a concert from the day before the video:- 30.05.1983, same venue. Why nothing more? I have no idea, there are probably several factors. Contracts complexity, relatively short span of band existence (about 7 months from the moment of first success, 1 year from the moment of signing with EMI) and so on...

Just out of interest, do you have the Japanese edit of the Lion's Mouth video with the voodoo doll scenes and the extra long flamethrower scenes? It was up on a Japanese video site many years ago but the site got taken over and the video disappeared.
