Nice home. Why are taxes so high? Curious, especially for Houlton.
Taxes are a function of mil rate and assessed value. I thought the taxes were actually pretty low. Move that house to Millinocket and then you would see high taxes.
Were I a betting man, (I'm not) my money would be on this being the nicest house on the street/in the neighborhood...and you know what conventional wisdom says about making that purchase...(clearly, the owner is living in the RV and using just the basement office after completing a nice soup-to-nuts face lift)
Actually there are several nice homes on that street. It appears to be a pretty decent neighborhood.
