I was just mentioning on United properties of Maine channel on how outrageous the prices are getting. These prices are not bad if you did not have to tear down or rebuild. I look on realtor and Zillow and have not ran across these properties. Good find and good work. You and your wizard search engine!!! LOL
These old houses built in the 1900 era are usually Post and Beam shell. The foundation is most likely field stone built with a dirt floor cellar. Lath and plaster interior walls. Post and Beam are fastened with wood dowels made of a hardwood.
Hey Susan we love your channel we just wondered when you were going to do one for Utah we are Utah residents we want to stay in the west but we need something cheap out in the boonies with water access if you could find us something with a home on it even a fixer it would be a miracle so there it is you got your work cut out for you LOL
hmmmm...interesting on house #1...ya gotta add keep in mind: it's gonna cost an additional (approx) and hopefully no additional repairs/issues: 3k-20K to replace lead pipes est on 2000 sf house and, 4,500 - 11K to replace Knob-and-Tube Wiring est for a 1500 sf house, and then - after that - add an extra 20-30k for misc ; total 61K plus negotiate the house ...101K (give or take) is not bad if you're handy...
Do you guys have any idea how far away Caribou, Maine is from anything? Don’t get me wrong, I love Fort Kent but I sure wouldn’t want to drive there for the weekend. You can just walk back and forth across the Canadian border. Haha if you don’t want any visitors head north. Note: it’s been a long time since I visited so I bet there’s a Super Walmarts close by.
yep iv noticed since looking for a place the last year or so that these real estate folks are quite lazy -most dont want to even talk to you if your not spending 750,000 bucks these days -and i have an inlaw that sells million dollar homes and nothing less
Great deals in beautiful Maine. Only problem is that it's a Blue state.
She's gorgeous
Great job Susan, love seeing your channel grow
My father in law was from Sherman, Me. Beautiful location...mountains, lakes, great hiking and fishing! All the winter sports you would want too.
I like your videos. You Bring Hope to others.
Great finds once again thank you and we await another episode!!!!
Sherman Maine looks nice
I want to get away from people. My home state of Montana has become over populated and I need a new home. These look great!
Maine can be very remote as you get North of Bangor some of these could be hunting fishing camps

The big question is what's the property tax? That's the problem that can make or brake the deal.
You will need a snowplow to keep your driveway open....
That peice of land in Cambridge is worth more than 120K!
Can you please do something from around? Eden NY
Taxes can be very low if in a plantation tax or unicorporated
Still avail? Where can we look at them?
interested in the 44
