Sir, I listen to six different organists on RUclips and for me you remain the finest and most skillful perfomer of them all by way of touch and chosen registrations. Thank you for being a part of my life’s experience. I’m blessed to know of you.
🇧🇷 from Brazil BRAVO ! Great Richard today, a very special day. a unique moment to hear you playing this Symphony. Thank you for the magnificent gift. be blessed by God. Richard, your work is wonderful. The music is a great treasure, a precious ♩♬♬
Well Richard what a performance it was exciting exhilarating suspensions an extraordinary show of talent what will you do next? Can't wait take of yourself and your wonderful family ❤💛💕
A bit late to it, but loved the Widor....which took me back to the live concert in Hereford Cathedral earlier this year, which was fantastic. Fall back, Spring forward 😄 !
Thank you, Richard for this wonderful rendition of Widor, Bach, and Alain. I especially appreciated your reading the words of Alain about Litanies, which gave me a new appreciation of what goes on in that piece.
Handsome suit & tie...my kind of colors! Your introduction of Alain Litanies & then performance, were OUTSTANDING, to my ears as listener & I hope, to GOD's ears, also, as text said.
Hello Richard. Very much enjoyed the concert tonight. There is an FAJ LP made quite late in his time at York which includes some lovely pieces: Boelmann; Widor: Vierne (Impromptu + another) Franck - Andantino in gm and ending with Alain Litanies and I think Le Jardin. With Litanies it is slightly more sedate in tempo and whilst predictable in the LH at the end of the volcano, 2 pages before in between the loud unison declamation in 8ves the fast interjections are on the small tubas. Thought you might be interested. Best Wishes Phil. PS The Widor was superb :) Thank you!
the final 2 movements of the 5th were played at a memorial recital I organised for my late father, and "the" toccata was played at his funeral in Durham Cathedral
I liked the way you played a much bigger allargando at the end of the Toccata than usual because it concluded the whole symphony. It’s rather like the end of Beethoven 5, the grand ending works much better in the context of the whole symphony.
Richard, have you considered doing a video on registration for the Toccata, similar to that of Dupre’s Cortège et Litanie? I found that one particularly informative when I was learning that piece, and would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on the registering of this Toccata.

Didn't catch the live stream as I was busy recording stuff in my own studio but I'm listening to it now and enjoying every minute! Sounds fantastic!

I have considered it, so let’s see what comes up next 😊
Always great Richard! May I ask you how do you turn the page on your notepad?
Very good!!! Which iPad do you use for trading the score? I would like to buy it
What a breathtaking performance! Thanks for sharing. How do you manage page-turns on the Ipad?
An app which uses facial recognition, such as ForScore.
What's the name of the piece you played after your final comments? Rhosmedre?
Yes indeed. It’s a BIS tradition
