As someone who has the S9 Plus, I can tell you that Auto isn't the best to use on these Galaxy Phone's as it almost always overexposes the image Pro mode is where it's at.
I think you are spot on and I felt in auto mode the S9 did not do as well with the sky (Sunny or dull) - I deliberately brought the Note 8 because it was a cheap option and there was not a lot of difference between the Samsung S8 that I had and the Samsung S9 and I did not want a mechanical F-Stop (Fed up with replacing camera shutters and do not want to do the same with a mechanical F-Stop). Being colour blind I do not really have issues with colour and live in amazement of the people that can. Thank you for compiling the test and sharing
Exceptional honest review. Just subscribed. You should do an s8 with S9 camera test as I saw reviews showing the S8+ camera producing some better results compared to note 8. Well done.
Just bought me a Note 8 yesterday. I know the whole S and Note Class inside and out. I'm really not gonna give it up for the S9 plus I can live without the AR emojis, slightly better camera, different size of battery, and slightly better processor. Nothing else is different! My friend turned in his S8 plus to buy the S9 plus and spent more money. It's not like the S9 plus outperforms the Note 8 by a lot just by a few milliseconds that's nothing. In my opinion the Note 8 overall looks and feels better. And has a few cool features the S class doesn't. The S9 plus is boring for the price. Just buy an S8 plus and save money if you don't care for the camera too much, that's all you're paying for in the new device. I had a choice between the Note and S9 knowing the Note is a bit older. I've always been a Note fan they're cool and they have better battery life than the S class. Probably won't get another phone til the Note 10 launches. Love Samsung
Bruh s9 has bluetooth 5.0 super slow mo much better gaming performance AIG dolby atmos stereos speakers, intelligent scan, blood pressure monitor 1.2GB download speeds. It records 4k 60FPS and 1080p 240 FPS soooooo shut up
It is one of the best smartphone cameras in its own right. But Samsung made a big deal of the difference of the S9+ dual aperture, I personally felt it isn't that big a difference, but hopefully you enjoyed it - I'm going back to my Note 8 now - love this phone! 🤙
Damien Wilde The Note 8 is truly a phenomenal phone to have. I've been using it for 5 months and the camera quality rocks! Having all the features on my Note 8 is a blessing because im always taking note of things and it's nice to have a S pen handy. Great content mate, cheers! 🍻
everyone shits on samsung for oversaturrated colors but i dont see any on the s9+ tbh both are insane cameras but i prefer the s9+ because it looks more natural to me that makes me feel the pic xd
Nice comparison. But my Note 8 bias aside, the S9+ could have done waaay better imo. And Huawei introduced the P20 pro with the trio cam setup. Samsung has to up their game big time if they want to keep their consumer base.
Se curtir a caneta, vai de Note, mas de resto, tudo no S9 PLUS é superior, agora se for entre o S9 normal e o Note 8, eu escolheria o Note pela adição da caneta, mais Ram e duas câmeras
I don't think that at all. Objectively, the S9+ has a better camera than the Note 8 - and I say that as a Note 8 user. Subjectively you can prefer the Note 8's pictures, but if you take almost the same image 75/100 the S9+ takes a superior picture.
I have note 8 and s9 plus.. the note has great camera..but my issue has been the video.. not great compared to previous models.. so I was looking for that to be sorted...and it has...much much better
Rob hoy the camera on my Note 8 is Stupendous! A lot better then my previous phone's. Being they were S7 Edge, S6 Active, Note 5, Note 4, Note 3, Note 2! The focus on the Note 8 is super fluid!
Your voice is weird. It's like the mic is too close to your mouth. I can hear the lip colluding sound. Other than that, good work mate. Looking forward for other S9 + or Apple related videos.
i'm using s9 plus... you are using pro mod in s9 and set aperture 2.2 to 1.5 thats why daylight pictures are over exposed,if you used auto mod u will see the results.
Hey Rob, whilst I agree in principle, the results would vary on the ability level of the photographer, hence why I and many others opt to test in auto mode - as 95% of users will take photos and video in this manner. Editing photos after being taken wouldn't give repeatable results unfortunately. Hopefully you understand the thought process and still enjoyed the vid 🤙
Duly noted! I'll see what I can do in future. Watch this space. For the most part though I stick to Auto with my phone as I take 'proper' photos with a dedicated camera! Hope that helps 🤙
"The best camera you have is the one you always have with you." - Someone probably said this...enjoy the vid
Damien Wilde so true 👍
As someone who has the S9 Plus, I can tell you that Auto isn't the best to use on these Galaxy Phone's as it almost always overexposes the image Pro mode is where it's at.
Note8 owners and lovers hit the like button down 😎😎😎
So you want people to dislike this video because you disagree with the results?
Damien Wilde I think you are bias towards the note. It took Better pictures
I prefer the note 8 pictures. Lovely!
Note 8 pictures are better...
I think in a lot of them pic's Note 8 was better..
I'll take that as a compliment on my photo-taking ability! 💁😉

Note 8 performs better :)
Some times I like underexposed better then overexposed
I prefer note 8 camera for deep result since most of S9+ pictures are overexposure... And so far, all the comments below have to disagree with you.

Didn't expect the note8 to fair that well!

From what I've seen irl .. the note 8 does better with auto mode, but the s9 is way better on pro mode
Have the S9+. Auto mode at times produces some really lacklustre results. Pro Mode however provides some fantastic shots. Nice review.
everyone shits on samsung for oversaturrated colors but i dont see any on the s9+ tbh
both are insane cameras but i prefer the s9+ because it looks more natural to me that makes me feel the pic xd
You changed the aperture of the s9+ manually to f1.5, isnt? My s9 takes really good dynamic range considering Im using the f2.4 aperture.
Note 8 is best
Hi!
How did you get that moving wallpaper? It looks so good! Can you tell me please?

Ditto question.. Even i wana know it looks cooo

Note 8 pictures are better then S9+!
I have just subscribed to your channel really nice comparison
Awesome camera comparison! Keep it up! I'm subscribing👍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 🤙🙇
The note 8 is better, the s9+ sometimes over expose the images

Analisando as câmeras qual você me indica pretendo ficar com o aparelho uns 3 anos.
I love my NOTE 8 it's a beast 🔥🔥🔥🔥
3:14 The note 8 is better than the s9+ looking at the colour of the sky
Looks like the s9 would have the most amazing pictures if it had HDR as the pixel 2. HDR would make this the best camera ever on a phone.
wallpapers please
The note series have always been known to produce more richer and Sharper images than the S series
S9 plus is awesome
S8 S9and S10 new version Android 8 OREO CALL RECORDING is not WORKING in all Samsung . They blocked the models.
10:23 timestamp this is what you came for this is the phone which geta kings crown
You're cheeky, I like you 🤙😂
I think you likes an object better by how new it is
I don't think that at all. Objectively, the S9+ has a better camera than the Note 8 - and I say that as a Note 8 user. Subjectively you can prefer the Note 8's pictures, but if you take almost the same image 75/100 the S9+ takes a superior picture.
I have the galaxy 5s any camera is better then mine

Barry Corpuz I had s7 edge..s8 plus and note 8
Conclusion between N8 and S9+ ; best camera, battery life and speed ; What s the difference ?
Rob hoy i have note 8 and i want have s9 plus is it better than note?
your on glue as note 8 kills s9+
I'm definitely not on glue!
i prefer the Note 8

No body ever does comparisons of fro mode and processing with apps such as snapseed...that would be better and more real life

Damien Wilde I do understand... but I would love to see what phone professionals prefer if don't use auto mode
Duly noted! I'll see what I can do in future. Watch this space. For the most part though I stick to Auto with my phone as I take 'proper' photos with a dedicated camera! Hope that helps 🤙
I missed the night pics
Very good improvement Samsung
Samsung love love 😘😘🙋♂️
Hahaha Not long ago same poeple were praising Note 8 and they are bragging over such things ... things that people do to be in picture 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
