Note 8 here for 11 months now. Like day one! Very happy. Believe it or not, but this time around it's really not as tempting. It's better to stay with the Note 8 and see what the next Note brings. I really don't understand why MOST reviews keeps saying to wait because of the S10. Note users will be waiting for the next Note..🤔

The note 9 has 4000mah and battery could last longer but with my note 8, I might not going to have issues with battery life but one ui is coming and it will have improvements though. It is what it is. Note 8 is worth it. So i gonna buy The note 8 over note 9. S10 came but they would drop the price more. 300 on Amazon and eBay.

I got a brand new Note 8 months or so ago and I bought it from Ebay in original box. When I bought it I had the Note Edge which I really liked but there's a big difference.You would really enjoy the Note 8 as it has a whole lot more features then the Note Edge/Note 4 which basically is the same except for curved edge on one side.

Yes, my note were completely dead few weeks after updating software. Apple too was so slow to download... Now I use Sony Xperia Z...I had it for 3yrs it not as nice but at least it saves me tons of money.

Note 8 used to be too big for my hand but after the release of the note 9 which is bigger, wider, thicker and heavier than the 8. I'm now glad that with note 8, I've got the perfect phablet for me

Farzeen Farooqui yeah. The phone is really wonderful like the specs and everything. Most advanced out there! The only thing is that they don't look the best in my opinion which kinda makes me not wanting to get one.
I agree the black camera looks better but the 9 looks better overall. The color looks more premium. The 8s blue looks more plastic-ish the screen is slightly larger on the 9 which is more appealing to the eye. And the pop of color on the s pen is dope. I wish they released more colors here in the US. Also the only thing I don't like about Samsung is you can't send GIF texts.

I prefer the fingerprint scanner on the note 8 over the note 9. I just naturally hold my phone in a way where the scanner is in the perfect spot for me. Everyone has their own preference though.

@@noncustody Performance doesn't just refer to the speed which you open an app. It's also how fast video loads and how well games run. I don't know about how they got the 30% statistic, but you could easily measure the ping and frame rate of games and compare them.
Been using my Note 8 for 7 months now for my daily tasks - multitasking with work and personal use. Never had a lag or downtime so far. Been so useful for my work and everyday needs. Note 9 doesn't have much difference though except on that S Pen Bluetooth thing. Maybe, will wait until there's really that great enhancements with the future Note series.

A year later and my Note 8 is Still Superb ABSOLUTELY NO LAG!!!!! There's only 4 upgraded features on the Note 9 and definitely not worth upgrading for,but I will be waiting on the 10 Anniversary which will be a beast....Sorry Sammy,I'm not mad because I know their saving the best for the Note 10!!!

Who wants to keep buying batteries? so you're getting an outdated product already, the batteries can't even perform at full function as they could 3-4 years ago even if "new" or "oem". I got my note 8 back in 2017 its been three years and i'm still using this phone. its been great but the battery life sucks. I wish this phone had a better battery.

In Nov 2019, the Note8 is on par with Samsung Galaxy A70's price of 150 BD, and the Note8 is really worth it.
I'll be staying with the note 8. There's not much of difference between the both phones. I carry a portable battery pack with me at all times as the battery does run down quick but overall I'd say it's still probably one of the best phones out on the market out there.

I am currently watching on the note 4 running the MODest Rom. (which I love!) I've had this phone for 3 years now. Its starting to have hardware issues so I decided that the note 8 is a massive increase but while still getting the biggest bang for the buck. I just bought the note 8 used for $319 with not even a scratch on it vs $700 for the note 9 used.

Ben Jensen my Note 8 is running fine two years now has a 200gb sdcard in there. Running One UI, Android Version 9. Not sure if it will be supported with future updates though.

Even though Im late, im watching this on my Samsung Galaxy S6.
I look at some basic stuff when i buy a phone: The price, the durability of the phone, the battery, the processing power, the ram and ofc the hard disk capacity and how much years the phone will be able to run 'new' apps.
Note 9 has some good improvement. The battery, the hard disk cap and the processing power which is roughly 30% higher is great but it doesn't seem like a must yet.
Yall bashing the note 9 sound bitter af. Literally both phones are exactly the same but Note9 is actually more dominant on performance wise. Just made my switch today, Cant say I didnt like my note8, but I also cant say I regret switching 🤷🏻♂️

Abdul Karim I love the ui. some Samsung apps works better than Google apps so on my S7 Edge the Google Apps Are The bloatware. It's not gimmicky features if I use it daily lot of the Samsung features are really useful in my daily life. There's no lag on my S7 edge Samsung phone's haven't had them for a long time now.

I had the NOTE8 since Nov 2017 & now I have the Note9 since it came out and I have to say Note 9 much better phone better camera better reception, speakers. The phone all of it is a heck of whole lot faster it even feels better in the hand. A very cool stylus pen you can do much more with it. I also have a Note 3 that I replaced with the 8 I actually prefer my Note3 over the 8 but prefer my Note9 over both of them. Way much better phone!
This is the comment I was looking for. Mine (note 9) broke, and I either wait for them to be restocked or go with a note 8. My main thing is the speakers. I use it alot for music and it's fast as fuck.
Also, I've been seeing preference issues with the finger print scanner. Ahhh.. decisions.
In our family we stayed with Note 3s and Note 4s for replaceable batteries. The Note 3s we "fixed" the update mechanism so that they could be rooted without tripping knox. We use Verizon/CDMA. The problem is one of us will be spending a lot of time in Colombia, and a Verizon 3 or 4 will not work there, while the Note 8 CDMA has the GSM bands to do it. The only thing the bothers me about the Note 8 is the battery seems pretty wimpy. It's no bigger than the 3 or 4, and it does way more.
iPhone 8 user before now have a note 9. I dont regret buying it :)

Note 8 already received an update for their camera, now able to record 720p960fps.
I like note 8's front camera, it looks better than the note 9
But for the whole system is note 9 for sure.
