He and Kathy filmed this all in one day. This was her choice for him to sing, and, I for one, am so grateful for that. The Geoffquakes reach into one's soul! Sweet silver bells are not what he brings, lol! More like cathedral bells from Notre Dame!
Next time she's in a chat with patrons, we need to thank her. We owe it to her.
fun fact: autotune is not a software that Geoff even has in his arsenal - and even then, it DOES NOT FUNCTION in those low notes. It isn't capable of registering them. Melodyne is software he has, but it also is incapable of registering his low notes.
what you mistook for it, is the instrumentation underneath the vocals.
however, he is singing through four of those notes at a time by the sound of it.
The dragon Smaug ate the bells and spit our Christmas fire! What an EPIC version of Carol of the Bell. Wow!
He wasn't holding one subharmonic note, he was changing notes. His voice is honey poured over thunder.
That is a great description!
Thanks for this reaction to Geoff's Christmas release. I have run out of superlatives! I enjoy the way Geoff arranges music nearly as much as his vocals.
He can use digital tricks but a lot of what people consider tricks is actually Layering.
What you hear is Geoff. No digital manipulation. He’s that gifted.
That's absolutely untrue. Jeff sings the actual notes and is a very talented singer. There is a lot of post processing and manipulation on his voice in this video though, just like any other musician. There's also instruments in the background adding emphasis on his notes, particularly during the bass drops in this particular song. It's no less impressive, you just don't need to spread falsities like that.
No autotuning! No computer tricks! It's all Geoff!
I think the Jeff on the right is having more fun than the others.
Voiceplay is releasing a new this Friday, the 13th.... Party of Your Lifetime.
It is from the Warframe1999 video game.
A request from the video game company that makes Warframe.
