Thank you for the split screen presentation - I love it.
That is so beautiful and it looks like it was poured from a mould, not turned. You truly are a master.
Thank you for this and for taking such great effort to share your wealth of knowledge and skill with the world.
You are welcome!
Such precision and mastery. Thank you! I have your trimming tools which I use often. Unfortunately right now I’m not teaching high school ceramics due to current situation. I do have my wheel at home so this helps pass the time. I’ll have a lot of greenware to fire when/ if allowed to go back to work ;) Take care good care.
Thank you master Hsinchen Lin 🙏🙏🙏
You are welcome!
I want this pickling jar!
Beautiful!
Very handsome jar, and thank you for recorded the full clip to enable us trying out ourselves. This is porcelain, I made a smaller version before firing with lid separated. It warped, the handles had weighed down the gallery which formed an oval instead of round. Some potters fired lid on jar while others fired separately. Kindly share your knowledge firing this jar with lid on, pls. Thank you
So perfect!!!
Awesome!
Would love to have this great work of art.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my girlfriend these days xD
@Austin Lane Yup, I've been watching on instaflixxer for since december myself :D
What about glazing? Thank you.
You mentioned about a grip bat you buy the stuff in the hardware store and cut in circles. Could you please give the name Much appreciated
I just find this is a good deal. I don’t make any money out of this link: www.amazon.com/Premium-Chamois-Cloth-Car-Shammy/dp/B07TW7STZY/ref=sr_1_10?crid=ZP57TYYP5BZ8&dchild=1&keywords=absorber+towel&qid=1593716404&sprefix=Absorber%2Caps%2C223&sr=8-10
Quick question: Why didn't you smooth / blend in the undersides of the handle? Or did you cut that out of the video? If you didn't, doesn't that make them weaker?
I did smooth underneath of the handle but didn’t add coil.
Google statistics shows most people only can concentrate watching my videos for 6.5 minutes so I have to cut some details and speed up (time lapse) the process.
Next question: how do you glaze the lid and gallery? Thank you for another wonderful video!
So far I haven’t glazed it. I will fire both the lid with the body together so anywhere they contact will use wax to coat it.
@@hsinchuen I always want to glaze as much of the lid and gallery as possible but don't want the lid to stick to the body. I saw a video recently from Daniel Boyle showing how he uses wadding to separate lid from base so that he can glaze them both but still fire the lid in place: ruclips.net/video/FVEYoEoxY5c/видео.html
What is the name of the ruler you are using? Where can I find one? Thank you for these great videos
