    what a great way to do the bottom with this coin to know when to stop in the middle. I also admire how you do the rim first and then just lift everything up. Never thought of that. I normally throw to height and then make the gallery or rim but usually I don’t have enough clay left for a large rim not to mention the water lock seals thing. Very interesting and inspiring!

    it's been forty years since I sat at a wheel. Sorry to be daft, but why is the base made separately?
