  • Samosa chaat is a lip-smacking chaat made with samosa, chickpea curry, various chutneys and spices.
    Chaat is a broad term used for all Indian street food. It’s mostly spicy, tangy and topped with yogurt and chutneys.
    This Samosa Chaat;
    ✓ is bursting with flavors and texture
    ✓ has layers of chickpea curry and crunchy samosa
    ✓ is tangy and spicy
    ✓ pairs up so well with chai!
    Samosa chaat is very easy to put together.
    However in order to do so, you have to make sure that all the components of the chaat are ready and good to go!
    See how I make mine!

    I'd planned on making a regular salad today to go with a tandoori chicken I cooked last night, but now I'm going to make the chaat part of your recipe instead as it looks so much more appealing 😍. I hoping the two will go together nicely, I will keep them separate just in case🤞Thank you Shamzah x❤️x

      I was looking at your Amazon shop after I watched your video and wondered if you could get some sort of credit if I shopped through your link but by buying other Amazon stuff? Could you let me know if this is possible because if you can get something back then I would shop through your link and that way support your channel whilst shopping, as I’m an avid Amazon shopper 😂 xx❤️xx

    This looks mouth watering, thanks for this recipe! I’m hoping to make it for Christmas Eve 🎄 esp with the bejeweled pomegranate seeds, so festive! 😍
    Must the chana be poured in hot? Is the dish as enjoyable cold? I wanted to do what I can a day ahead and assemble it before bringing to the fam (hour drive away)…

    • @MyLittleKitchenRecipes
      @MyLittleKitchenRecipes  Год назад

      Hello there👋 this is the perfect desi festive dish for Xmas Eve! I would say it's eaten hot rather than cold as the samosa pastry needs the chana masala to be hot to soak it all up. Normally when I take this to family & friends, I just chop and bag everything ready and take the chana masala in a microwaveable container and just assemble when I reach destination. That way its piping hot and fresh. An hours drive will result in a cold chaat which petsonally in my humble opinion is not nice.

    Shamza, the mint sauce for the imli is that what you used from your homemade mint and added vinegar to it? Apologies for the daft question. Will be making it this week! x

    Love this. I wondered, is it necessary to make full samosas if you're just going to break them up anyway? is it possible to just deep fry some of the samosa batter and throw it into the chaat, along with some of the samosa filling? I know it wouldn't be as authentic and all but has anyone tried it?

    Do you heat up the samosa first before layering them in the dish?

    • @MyLittleKitchenRecipes
      @MyLittleKitchenRecipes  2 года назад +1

      Yes I did for around 30/40 seconds as mine where made the day before and had been in the fridge. If you're working with fresh ones then no need to heat.

    Samosa chat is my second favorite Indian dish. I consider blitzing an uncooked onion to be a culinary crime. i would not think it's good because of that right there.

    • @MyLittleKitchenRecipes
      @MyLittleKitchenRecipes  2 года назад

      Haha, I'm afraid that's how it's eaten in a Chaat, Chad 🤷🏻‍♀️😉

    I like the idea of the samosa with the chana and other flavours, but i would be obsessed with protecting the crunch of the samosas. I would end up making a meal of the prep so very little of the samosa pastry touched the wet sauces. Thats a me problem.
