God bless you my brother thanks to you i bought my first ever rc plane 64mm marlin 3 weeks ago. skipped getting a trainer. after 2 crashes..first crash caused by setup error setup lemon rx10 wrong and elevator with rudder caused a take off crash 1st flight..and signal loss problem second flight it was repaired both times and now having successful flights and loving the plane.now im thinking of getting the fms futura 80mm. i have a few questions brother. what can i use to protect the foam and paintwork? and can i put a eflite 80mm afterburner ring in this.. the afterburner kits are hard to find in uk so eflite might be the 1 to use? as its in the uk already. i will be putting up videos of all my flights and my first unboxing video i gave you a shout out for your channel, that video is already on my channel if you want to see. the flight vids ..the crashes and successful flights coming up soon with onboard video from my dji action 2 camera..yes i was confident enough to put my camera on after a few flights thanks to your help and videos.
any ways i appreciate your family freindly informative videos for this great hobby.
God bless you in the mighty name of Jesus.
    kind regards
    Brett.

So glad to help and inspire you into edfs but please dont move toooo quickley the 80mm Futura FMS is an awesome beast but a BEAST no less! It demands experience and time to be appreciated. Please tread lightly . i would go with the FMS futura 64 first. Faster than the marlin and would definitely get you ready for big brother!

thankyou so much for your reply brother. the futura 80mm is already on its way should of been here yesterday but courier is delayed 24hrs. i crashed the marlin again, i took it out in 20 odd mph winds and my usual cricket pitch with grass like a carpet was occupied so i took off using the football pitch..not great..bumpy longer grass and cuttings. but it eventually got in the air.. to my shock the wind really increased the speed but was having fun but plane was ballooning up alot which wasnt a problem till i wanted to land with half flaps..in the wind it got my butt twiching a little atempting approaches. felt uncomfortable having to push up on the elevator to come in to land i went to abort and as i turned to go back around i think i had a wing tip stall as the wind giving me lift disapeared as i turned. it was only a few meters high but damage was quite bad because of the previous repairs..i have a spare fuse but i think i can repair it and save the new fuse for another time. the rest of the fuse and plane were unscathed except 1 gear mount had snapped.. i searched everywhere for a replacement but looks like the only way to do that is to buy a new wing set..unless you know away to just replace the little plastic mount? anyways ill remove the mount from new wing and replace the broken 1 saving the new wings for another time. is there a good way to remove the glued part easily without damage to it or the wing? i also bought a satellite receiver to help with my signal problem..i already moved the antennas away from components..that made a massive difference but just in case , i added a sat to it for the next flight after repairs. as for the minwax..we have it in the uk but not found the aerosol version yet. my marlin i wrapped in florescent green car wrap..it was great for covering the previous repairs but it was for visability mainly it really helped and a great job of protecting and in the last crash held all the foam pieces together . but with the futura its already hi vis red..which is better than the green for visability...i love green better but the red pops better. and worried even using clear wrap may damage the paint work when removed.. im a custom car painter by trade and the waterbased paints they use today are far from the solvent based paints i use in regards quality build and adhesion. so i have this terrible thought of peeling all that lovely paintwork off. so a minwax type coating seems the best plan thanks for your recommendation. as for the afterburner i ordered freewing ones a few days ago..
thankyou so much for your time bro.
      God bless you
