    I used to fly the big EDF’s, now have been on turbine for over 5 years and I won’t be going back. I enjoy less work and more flying, turbines are so reliable and problem free nowadays that having to deal with batteries is more work. Plus the benefits just don’t end with turbine. The sound, smell, power, flight time, performance, number of flights you can make in a day…….. It’s just the way to go imho. I just recommend Xicoy or Kingtech though, top two out there.

      Just a shame you can't get a smaller turbine to fit in say a 90mm Viper sized jet and a smaller price. It's the size of these turbine jets that puts me off. In a hanger of 20 edf jets I'd have to trade them all for 4 or 5 turbines.

      @@M4rkmcc21 who says you can't get asmaller turbine in a 90mm Viper, lots of people have x45/k45g4 in planes that size, I have Eflight viper 90mm with k30 turbine and other conversions.

      @@M4rkmcc21 yeah bro people have been doing this for years! I had two X45’s one in a 90mm F22 and another in the 80mm avanti. Flew very well and both were lighter than the edf equivalents. They make tiny turbines you just gotta look lol. Xicoy X45, and Kingtech K45G4.

      Really no comparison against a turbine. They both look like jets is it.

    That turbine landing was crazy good!!! Sounds like a real l39 on the tarmac! Def a 170 mph bird with a dive and a tail wind. The edf version still sounds good too! That smoke looked kinda cool at the end ngl. Just an esc? Not to hurtful youll be back strong will!

    The EDF you charge the packs and go, with the turbine it's a full scale operation to get in to the air, a bit like fireing up an Formula One car, for convienience EDF wins, having said that the turbine is a beast!!

    My VGood ESC burnt up on the 2nd flight but it caught the whole plane on fire. Banana needs to stop selling those completely. They gave zero support and tried to blame the customer. The hobby wing ESC with the jp fan has made it 30 flights so far with no problems.

      They havent sold that version innover a year or 2, they sell the V2 only

      @@RCPlaneReviewer yes v2 is much more reliable. I have the mb339. The turbine probably would be even better. The electric flies better at 3/4 throttle speed.

    I think I saw through the intake orange fire!
    Anyway, was that ESC stock? And what did your associate mean by redundancy boards? Am interested in this bird but a bit concerned. I saw what happen to that big Hawk you had a while back too, so these issues are a concern of course.

      @@RCPlaneReviewer Thats a big step up though isn't it? A turbine waiver and all?
      How was the transition to a complex turbine too??? also need a larger longer runway field too I imagine.

    • @RCPlaneReviewer
      @RCPlaneReviewer  24 дня назад +2

      @MultiSkyman1 The most surprising thing about turbines is the money spent, they literally start and run themselves! Automatically starts. Super easy. The waiver was a piece of cake too, i spent more time worried about television cost and the waiver and honestly it was the easiest thing 😅 thankfully. It as easy as a electric plane
