He thinks he is so smart by using the “earth “
@@vayduong6806 "Human history". That's in contrast to eeeeh.. to giraffe history?
And that's NOW!!! Not in 2024 but NOW
trump would disagree! You know he is proven to be the world leading expert in over 58 fields he says hes the leading expert in those fields musk has 3-5? LOL
Fact: A smart horse has much higher true self-driving and point to point navigation capability than any Tesla on the road today. Some are so smart that they even have anti-theft capabilities with return to home function. they also self-charge out in the pasture on real green energy.
Thank you, cause I was about to post something similar about the capability of a living breathing thinking horse.
Excellent!
Bravo!
now if only a horse do 80mph instead of 30-40miles per day.
And a horse's software runs on EI = Equine Intelligence.
The funny thing is that if someone bought a horse and intended to use it as their main means of transportation, it would at least be self driving.
It is. My grandfather used to have a horse and If it wasnt for horse he would drunk sleep on the field far more often.
Haha, my late granpa had ine as well
My grandpa in 70s was going to a bar, and his horse +"carriage" that was self driving him back home, when he get drunk. At distance ~5miles. Would be funny if he didnt die, on this, it wasn't fault of his self driving "car" but bus driver, on daylight on crossing - driver didnt stop he died. For many years it was fully operational fully functioning self driving "car"
And just btw. thare are self driving cars - buses, trams, city rail, and even taxi, not in USA, because USA is broken, designed by General Motors in 50s, it seems people in US are now dreaming to have well designed, fully funciotnal, public transportation. Or eventually cheap taxi that will drive them to suburbs. Well no other choice but to wait when Elon finally make it. Bus small enough to make sense in america.
True! Miss Gramps. They knew the way home. Before my time they used to turn a wheel outside the "chaff house" to make the chaff machine work. Two story old stone building. We'd jump from the top story down onto the hay stack. Uh heck now I'm a bit upset. Still raw even after 3 years.
"If Musk believed a single word of what he was saying, he would have bought 44 billion dollars worth of robotaxis."
That's what I was saying back then, if Tesla robotaxis could generate such good passive income (or any income at all), why would Tesla sell their cars instead of keeping most of them to use as their own robotaxis?
Nah, the fanboys just dismiss that by saying he is such a philanthropist, he doesn't want to make money, he wants to help humanity.
@@mummifiedgamer
They are truly living in a fantasy land, and waking them from it is no easy task.
That's a very good point. Insightful. I never thought about it in that way.
The robotaxi hasn't been invented/produced yet. Very dumb statement.
The size design will be more like model 2 coming out this year, and the software isn't finished or approved by congress.
Do you follow at all or just dream up stuff?
The same as people selling schemes to win the lottery at every turn.
Musk: "I didn't do it."
Also Musk: "You should have stopped me sooner."
I didn't do it, but if I did, it's your fault.
"I know more about doing it than any other human on the planet!" 🤣
I quite liked his attempt at blaming deep fakes as well.
Lol 😂😂 he did say that??? Well, he should say that, somehow it will be more forgiveable, a smart move😂😂 but no, not this time😂😂😂

It is stunning how much he has just outright lied over and over again and not been held accountable.
Crazy! It's almost like outright false marketing claims are almost never prosecuted, and Thunderf00t is cherrypicking examples!
Mhm pretty much like any politicians or anyone on top it's almost as people in general are so dumb they believe anyone and anything hmmmm. Welcome to reality, if it's amazing for u than u either just been born or you have not been paying much attention... to anything... ever... :)
While there are areas where he is in hot-water over. He's generally profited quite well. He's been rewarded for lying. "That's leadership"
He is a religious cult leader.
The gov uses cult leaders, because they are big public opinion influencers.
He can influence how millions vote. He can seriously push the climate change narrative.
While he posts one tweet defending the right to own guns, he will help promote laws that will strip people from their ice cars.
While he claims he defends freedom of speech, he can seriously censor one of the big social medias in favor of the ruling powers.
I’m not sure how the saying goes (it might even be accurate lol) but, never underestimate the power of stupid people in large quantities.

Not really. People do that nonsense with "early access" games. It can be argued it's the same thing with pre ordering video games. "The Day Before" being the mot recent example. However, a poorly developed video doesn't put you and others in peril.

Did you really compare the cost of an early access video game to 15k for FSD?
Like giving a lot of money to a cult.
Why compare to a horse who is actually capable of "self-driving", while also having better intelligence for this task than any AI currently in existence. It's a sentient multi-terrain meatrobot that runs on grass.
Omfg this is the best comment. You win
We need a resurgence of sentient meat robot usage. It's eco friendly, and versatile for all localized travel needs. Even the extended cargo options are wood based, and carts/wagons can be sustainably sourced.

When I heard him call lidar a fool's gambit, or something like that, I changed my view on the guy. There might be things I don't know here, I know that. But lidar sensors cost more, and do one thing, measure distance. Your car don't freak out when a shadow crosses the road when you have a system with lidar, so I would select that any day
I've used several current market versions of Lidar on robotics products (including cars) and it's important. It's good, but expensive, as is the computing cost of power to interpolate the data.
Compared to processing 2D video streams, lidar point clouds are a bargain in terms of processing. But yes, the hardware is realy expensive....@@life_of_riley88
In the mean time, lidar has become so much cheaper that he looks even more the fool for not including it now.
@@criticalevent To not have solid object detection, ie only cameras like he claims is "all you need" is foolhardy.
Not to mention fog. I’ve driven enough in conditions where I wish I had more than eyesight that Elon is so enamored with.
FSD using only cameras will never, ever work. Every other car company has figured this out. Musk just refuses to use other sensor types for some weird reason. Maybe they remind him of the colour yellow. It's irrational.
Thank you for referencing Harlan Ellison.
@@LarixusSnydes Or, you know, he's referencing the well-known hatred of yellow that Apartheid Edgelord genuinely has. www.google.com/search?q=What+is+it+with+Musk+and+Yellow%3F
Why will using only cameras it never work? A real reson then Elon is evil.
Don't you know that yellow is the evil color?
Openpilot works better, even with just cameras.
I was with my son in his Tesla last year, driving on a 4 lane divided highway at 55 mph. We were in the right hand lane on a straight stretch of road with no one around us. 3 times the car tried to drive us into the ditch on the right. If you’ve seen the video of the Tesla veering towards the bicyclist, that’s what it was like.
That is terrifying!
Here’s what probably happened: Tesla Autopilot searches for the road marking lines to guide it in a straight line. The real fun begins when Autopilot loses sight of the line on the right, which is the one that is most often not clearly marked. Instead of using the centerline as a reference, it tends to drift over to the right in search of a line that may not even be there. That could take you into a ditch. That can kill you.
FSD should be a free option, with a warning attached.
Even the new rehashed Model 3, was test driving it in the city on a road, with construction going on, on the side of the road, the Tesla was switching between wanting to drive into the cones, or phanton break again and again. Meanwhile the other cars I tested the same day, had zero issues with their assists systems, keeping on the actual driveable part of the road, with no phantom breaking, that included both European/Chinese brands. The M3 highland, is literally a "Horse" with its no sensors "deal", it just shows the lack of sensors like USS/Radar, which all the other cars got, when you actually drive it inside a city here in Europe. It's also interesting to see how Tesla will handle the new EU requirements, which will require many of the features from EAP, will they increase prices, or provide most of the EAP feature for free, making the whole EAP package seem less interesting. (Regulation (EU) 2019/2144)
It's obviously even more tiring than driving normally. At least driving, a lot of the stuff you do is essentually muscle memory. Here you have to constantly check things in advance in order to be able to react. It's like teaching a toddler to drive.
Society values confidence over competence. We like it when people tell us things we want to hear. As an engineer, I've seen a lot of crazy management promises. I'm often surprised that our customers trusted we could deliver things on a schedule that didn't make any sense. We need a lot more people who value execution over ideas and realism over dreamers.
thats how i made it through university tbh 😅
No, incompetence people values confidence over competence.
Most people, perceives Musk as he is. An idiot. Whom lies through his teeth, and can't even hit the gym cause he's too busy sleeping on the factory floor tweeting 100 tweets a day spreading conspiracy theories.

What gets me is that he doesn't sound at all confident.
He sounds like a third rate con man making shit up as he goes along.
I think people also believe if one throws enough money at something, it can happen and happen tomorrow. How anyone still believed what he said after the first few missed deadlines, I do not know.
That's what happened with the game on steam the marketing department ignored the programmers
EDIT: The boring company has died, the hyperloop will not be built, Andrew Tate fans will forever be acoustic and restarted.
To be fair, it _could_ work - just not on Earth. I mean, in space you already have a vacuum, and you probably don't want people walking around (or just being there in general) unprotected. This idea, assuming we have a robust maintenance system, could function to safely move people and cargo where air isn't a factor to begin with. And it would certainly make a lot more sense than even electric cars would. ... Just not on 2020 Earth. :D
@@EgonFreeman It couldn't work in space, either.
On the moon it's not a half bad idea, because there could actually be some requirement to move people/cargo from a to b quickly, but realistically I think we're just going to design moon bases so as to avoid requirements for moving people/cargo large distances.
Vacuum tubes just aren't a good idea anywhere.
He also said that Tesla will fail from competition of legacy auto. And yet 2023 Tesla is the best selling car in the world and EU and sell more EV than all other manufacturers combined in USA.

he'll only go to jail once the money stops flowing. SBF and Theranos lady only went to jail after their markets collapsed and the trust fund babies started losing pennies. (idk about Tesla man, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was similar)
He's part of the system, not just a scammer. There's a broader picture.
Because investment firms make billions off Tesla every year pretty much anytime Elon says something bad about the company or they massively fail to hit quotas the stock price tanks and investors buy cheap shares. But not long after Elon will say some BS like "we have invented a mega giga AI brain that responds 12 times faster then a human and its available to install into self driving tesla cars right now" and stock prices will soar 30%+ nearly overnight in which investment firm will then sell off making billions.
This house of cards will collapse at some point probably due to a lawsuit such as the one based on the BS claims of FSD which if Tesla loses that one they will lose 5 billion alone on giving customer refunds on FSD costs alone and could face upto losing something like 400 billion if it is ruled they would have to give a full refund for the cars as well.
How is this fraud not yet in jail is beyond understanding.

Lets hope so.
Most insurance companies wouldn't cover Tesla vehicles so Tesla offers its own car insurance.
@@lunaticbz3594- I’ve noticed that premiums on electric cars are so much higher that they’d eat all the fuel cost savings for an average user. My insurance is normally about 500.00 a year. A fully electric car is around 4,000.00. The electric costs are about 400kwh of electricity is about 120.00 from a home supply (of the 400kwh you purchase ends up in the car I’m not sure, there’s bound to be some loss). It’s about 1000 miles, a diesel car would need about 270.00 to cover that distance. 150.00 saving. Insurance being 3500.00 a year more means I’d have to do this 23 times to break even. 23,000 miles….almost twice the national average. Also, I can do this mileage in a secondhand diesel at a cost of 5-6,000 pounds for the vehicle. You couldn’t trust that sort of mileage in a secondhand electric car.

Back when Elon first announced Starship he said he was taking a more active role in the actual development than he did with Falcon's development. This was about the same time many real rocket scientists left the company for no apparent reasons. I get the feeling things he thought of get the highest priority by his directive which would explain Starship. He first said he chose stainless steel because he wasn't going to use a thermal protection surface which would save weight which makes the SS worth it's weight penalty as opposed to aluminum. He then relented in the face of reality announcing heavy ceramic tiles, his idea I'd guess, which in combination with the heavier SS is not sensible. Then he announced Cybertruck will be using the same SS also which all tells me Elon is locked into a contract with the mill makes his "custom" stainless steel which he called his "invention". What most don't know is steel mills will alter the formulation to specific needs and is part of their normal operations for anyone with the money.
That's why Gwynne Shotwell banished him to a sandbox in Texas where he couldn't fuck up anything the adults were doing 🤣

Shotwell is a very talented, very driven woman, but she's also a Musk dickrider and doesn't try to stop any of his stupid ideas (I mean, not that he'd listen but she happily cosigns his shit)
Also, it's not particularly strong steel. The structure of most modern railway vehicles (even the lightest ones) includes steel that is stronger.
My favorite part of Musk speaking is it's so obvious when he's not expecting pushback and wanted people to grovel at his feet for looking in their direction. He starts to stammer and backpedal hard. And as someone with a stutter, I find it hilarious.
At least he admitted he is losing the company.. even if blaming others for it.

Agreed 100%. Fact that some clapped and voiced support for the ridiculous assertion is all you need to know about Musk's core audience.
The only thing preventing Elon from going to prison is that Tesla stock didn't crash the way FTX, Theranos or Nikola did. As soon as a crash starts to hit big investors, we're going to see some pretty funny times for Musk
This massive recall might finally trigger that. When the majority of your product is being recalled, there's going to be some fall out.
I don't think Tesla stock will ever crash. It might drop significantly to a more realistic valuation, but it won't crash.
First there's tech bros and musk idolisers that will hold on to Tesla stock no matter what. So the stock price will never plummet if some will not sell. But that's only minor.
What's more important is that even without Tesla's fsd, Tesla still is a decent company with a good product. The cars are popular and of decent quality, they are technologically ahead of most competitors, and they're an established brand. So even without fsd, sales will most likely hold.
Plus Tesla has battery manufacturing plants and multiple massive factories to produce their products. These hold significant value in themselves, and again, even without fsd are able to crank out a reasonably good product that people want at a good price and profit margin.
So no. Tesla stock won't plummet even when it becomes apparent what an idiotic lemon that cybertruck turns out to be. It will maybe drop, but it will not crash imho.
I'd be more worried about space X.
@@johanwittens7712 "It might drop significantly to a more realistic valuation" ~ translation ~ that literally means it will crash compared to where it is, that's what it means when the bubble bursts and a stock gets reset to its true value and not the inflated one.
I really dislike this Musk sh!thead but I think that @johan have reason. Realistically speaking too much tech junkies / fanboys of Tesla are out there, there is a
a lot of Tesla fast chargers outside, and there is multiple "products" covering the Tesla like solar panels and what not. I agree it will go down at a very low and realistic value but realistically speaking I hardly see it crashing.
If Space X, and Twitter crash at a same time, it will give a nasty dip to Tesla stock, but it will still not crash. There should be a massive drama concerning Tesla for it to crash. And no, this Musk is a big piece of sh!t, I am just realistic.
@@johanwittens7712
A realistic valuation is a crash. Tesla's valuation is about as much as all other car makers combined, so it should sell about as many cars as all others combined. But its market share is only 2%. So compared to other brands Tesla is 50x overvalued. Sure, it's purely an EV brand, which is the growing market (although Tesla's market share of all EV sales has also been dropping recently). But other than that, there's nothing to justify its stock price. I wouldn't be surprised by a 90% drop (i. e. crash) at some point.
It's rather ironic -- in 2019, when he was pitching FSD and robotaxis, he said owning any other car in a few years would be like owning a horse. But yet, horses CAN "drive" somewhat autonomously. As in, if a horse is pulling a carriage and the driver keels over, the horse will eventually stop. And if something gets in the horse's way, it reacts.

When youre selling something to businesses who are going to make money off of what youre selling, you dont sell it for a tiny markup, you charge them what they can make on it for years to come.
Elon also speaks with the lack of confidence found in people who were neglected and/or abused as a child. So many umms, and uhs, and awkward pauses as if he's trying to think of what to say on the spot. It should be embarrassing.
I look forward to your video about the Hyperloop One shutting down :D
I am just amazed at how people can be lied to about a thing for nearly a decade and still believe the liar when they continue to lie about that very thing
"The Emperor's New Clothes" and "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" immediately come to mind.
When I was younger, I had quite a serious drug habit - living that kind of life for any significant amount of time tends to involve a *_LOT_* of lying. Surviving that kind of a life tends to require that you get really *_good_* at lying.
I was honestly astonished, even from all the way down there at the bottom, to find out just how *_eager_* people are to be lied to.
Tell them the truth, and all you'd get would be shouting and angry lectures.
Tell them cheerful sounding _lies,_ and they'll pat you on the head, give you a big hug and send you on your way.

"just 1 more year".... "1 more year".... "I'm absolutely confident that it'll be the end of this year".

That's another aspect of all of this that reminds me of the bad old days:
When I'd call up my old 'cola' dealer, he would always, _always,_ *_always_* tell me, "Alright mate, I'll be about twenty minutes."
Didn't matter how far away he might have been, or what direction he was driving in, or how many other deliveries he had to make before getting to me, it was *_always_* "twenty minutes."
When I called back, two hours later, to check how much longer he'd be, it would be "twenty minutes."
Even if he'd already shut up shop for the night, and was at home watching TV, he'd tell me "twenty minutes."
I assume it was for the same reason Mush keeps promising ridiculous, far fetched delivery schedules - because they can get away with it. Because they've got all the power, and they get a kick out of reminding their customers/fanclub that *_they've_* got all the power, and we have none.
That they can say whatever the fck they like, tell ludicrous lies, right to our faces, and all we can do is shut the fck up, and eat sht with a smile. If I ever complained, the 'cola' guys would simply not show up that night, just to teach me a lesson about knowing my place.
I expect there's a similar mentality inside the Mush cult - don't question the master, or you'll be shunned.
He got the best PR team. Also, people are advertising for Elon for free. They don't actually watch his interviews.
Insurance companies will eventually raise their premium to super high rates to cover the liabilities of self driving apps in cars. The real bad thing about it is they will raise everybody's rates regardless of what you drive EV or not because they look at it as an industry-wide adjustment. Put on top of this, insurance compsnies are already raising their premiums in many countries to cover liabilities for thermal runaway fires. Some insurance companies are already flat out refusing to insure EVs.
Worth noting that driver assistance systems and EVs have nothing to do with each other, it just happens that an EV brand is also known for their driver assistance system. I’m not aware of any auto insurance companies that have placed a blanket ban on insuring EVs or Teslas. Thermal runaway is not a common issue with EV batteries aside from a few recalls that resulted in a few dozen fires out of millions of EVs on the road, more gas cars burn every day. Insurance companies use underwriting criteria based on facts and statistics not feelings and fear of theoretical scenarios.
Sadly, no. They should have done so already for electric cars with Li-Ion batteries; they haven't and spread cost of risk among all others. They'll be forbidden by law (if aren't already) of doing so. Also - it's not "sell driving". Friend bought new VW and software update broke lowering the glass and ..... door blockade. Software market for critical applications need serious shakeup.

I think about it like this: the kind of person that had $250,000.00 of income that they could simply "drop" on a product that "would be available in a few years," and they not miss that money at all, is also the type of person that's not going to go beating down Tesla's door trying to get a refund. The comparison to Theranos is apt. The only difference is that Tesla started with an existing product. But he's been raising money off vaporware promises just about as long as Holmes did.
Tesla started with a horrible, ridiculous product and a totally non-viable business. Now, years and hundreds of billions invested later and after China bailed Tesla out (and took control, built Tesla their largest factory (plus its whole supplier network), demanded their batteries get swapped in, so they can essentially sell Chinese cars to Europe and much of Asia using Tesla as a trojan horse), it's still a ridiculous product and a totally non-viable business.
Tesla survives on lies, and EVs survive (for now) on massive international fraud which has pushed taxpayer money to them so that tens of thousands of people can also funnel taxpayer money to themselves with it.
It's not just vaporware, it is actually fraud - blatant lies to deceive investors
One thing people need to understand about con-men is that not all of them started with a fraud: many of them started with a real business venture that got in financial trouble, and the scamming started as a stop-gap measure. Both Tesla and SpaceX produce real working products with serious engineering behind them, but both companies would have gone broke (or at least Musk would have been forced to sell them off) without all the vaporware scams to draw in investors and fool regulators. (Meanwhile, HyperLoop, Tesla Solar and Neuralink never got to be more than complete scams.)
I think Nortel is a better comparison. Leader in technology, dominated the market for a short time, died on an overdose of hubris because they made pumping the stock through hype and financial crimes the focus of their business.
Speaking as an accountant if you buy a horse you don't have depreciation on a horse but you do on a Tesla. Also a horse lives on average to 30 years and most of those are working years. I don't think Teslas have that much longevity. Bottom line the horse is more reliable and never loses value.
