I am currently playing the STEALTH irons....my handicap this year is around 6-8.....I like the forgiveness but am wondering if you think the P-790 would be good for my game or if i am good enough to play them....i love the look of the P-790... would be looking to get 5-PW , AW with 1 degree up and midsize grips and prefer the graphite shafts...thx...cheers from Canada
Nice, I just got fitted for these and I was amazed at the dispersion and consistency. 2 hours of hitting and I had the tightest groups ever. I went with a full set of 790's and my only concern is at the top of the bag as I wasn't able to test the 8-PW. Is the gapping consistent from what you saw? It seems as if the scoring irons are more traditionally lofted, did you find that a problem?
I found that there was brilliant consistency from PW all the way in to the longer irons. The PW is 45 degrees in loft, so its on the stronger side, along with 9-8 iron, but you'll not see any issues with gapping in the scoring irons.
Abilities maybe, but budget not really! The design of the lofts are interesting! I’m a hybrid guy though from 5>. I’m playing the standard off the rack PXG 0211 XCOR 2 irons 6-GW.
The turf interaction with the P790'S are brilliant, it just glides through. I compress and hit down on the ball quite a lot as I also have a steeper attack angle and found it really easy to cut through the turf.

How do these interact with the turf? Asking as I have a steeper swing
Get srixons .. don’t worry about these , Srixon made for steep swings that v sole is magical for it

Absolutely, very workable if you like to shape the ball.
