Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well!
In today’s video, we are going to an ice cave in Austria! The Eisriesenwelt is in Werfen, Austria which is about 45 minutes away from Salzburg, Austria.
This trip was so much fun. A tad bit difficult hiking up the mountain. Plus, the 700 steps up the inside of the mountain and back down made things interesting. Looking back on it and watching this vlog it was 100% worth it! My parents were able to see the alps and experience breathtaking views from the mountain and inside of the cave.
If you visit here there are a couple things to keep in mind.
1. Make sure to dress really warm! I’m talking like gloves, hat, boots, double layers.
2. Bring a baby carrier if you have a young child. Vera fell asleep as soon as we got into the ice cave so Leo was struggling for the 1,400 steps.
3. As of right now they are checking proof of vaccination or a test to make sure you bring documentation of those.
4. Arrive one hour early before your tour begins. Walking up the mountain takes a while. Plus, you want to be able to enjoy the views.

The hotel we stayed at Meininger Hotel in Salzburg.
It was very nice and clean. If you are a family make sure to book a private room. I called them to book a room just to make sure! We paid only 60 euros for the 4 of us plus a baby!

'Schnitzel' with noodles??? Where are you from? 'Piccata Milanese' is the only Schnitzel, not breaded but in egg and parmesan, with noodles and tomato sauce.
Have you heard of the movie called “ The Sound of Music? My family and I grew up watching it. There is a song that saids “schnitzel with noodles and crisp applestroodles.” It’s an old American movie that was filmed in Salzburg🥰 they have a tour and everything 🤩
@@FaithMoncivais AHA, now I understand where that comes from. I am from Austria and quite honestly this movie is not well known here at all. I watched it again after the Oscars when Lady Gaga sang a medley of 'The sound of Music' and tried to understand the fascination as we have other movie versions of the Trapp family, well more realistic ones.
When you are in Salzburg maybe you have the chance to take a walk at the Salzach (river that crosses the city) by night. Then you can see all the old churches which are enlighted (correct English word?). Really impressive and you should also visit the 'Müllner Bräu' too. Have fun!
