- I made this quick video to demonstrate the voice changer. Most of the work with the voice changer was replaced with actual in game audio, but in at 2:05 in the video you can hear it being used.

He's spitting facts.
The combine in their true form are the fat commander things (I forget their name). The metro cops, soldiers etc. that you see on the ground are humans adapted with 'combine'd bioarchitecture (hence their name).
The combine create a new army using the local population every time they conquer a planet so that their ground forces are always perfectly adapted for that world (hence metrocops are unique to earth).
Basically, 'Combine' is used as a friendly version of 'assimilate'.
Once your costume is made, tell a friend to come over. Once he/she is at your door, tell them to come in. Put on the mask point at a full beer can and say "Pick up that can.". It'd be a great way to show off.

@@CaptainResident Mobile Task Force Epsilon 11 "Nine Tailed Fox" is a unit of the MTF that specialises in containing breaches at foundation sites.
@@baronvon57 correct, and I would imagine they wouldn't have unique equipment that would make them sound any different from other MTF units. Hence why I was referring to the MTF as a whole.

If you have Gmod, you can find a model for a combine soldier without a mask or top. He looks mostly human, but his face has mechanical bits in it and there's some weird silvery stuff attached to his side and back.

@TallmanMike actually on earth the humans are part of a sub-class called the overwatch. the rest of the forces are synths and the fat things are called advisors and are only speculated to be the masterminds

@BloXboX37 Yeah you have that on the dot. They are humans that join the overwatch forces and have their memories erased and have there larynx transplanted with the "voice changer" so the Combine seem like a army of murderous clones when Freeman is fighting men who wanted another chance at a bit of freedom being used as tools.
Here is a vision of the future: imagine a boot stamping on that can... forever!

@Pythosblaze Right, the soldier has had extensive artificial modification. The metrocop hasn't. I believe the silvery stuff is how he gets nourishment, but iono.

@HellDawgY2K I took notice that most of it is in Russian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian and Slavic at times. In the Victory mines in Hl2: EP 2, a sign reads "Victory mine- In memory of the 50 years", in Russian. :)
@DailyDooms Nah, Overwatch Soldiers are humans who have undergone extensive modification and have been re-educated as to not have any regrets about killing and will not disobey the Combine advisors.
The leaders of combine are "Advisors", which were giving orders to Breen.

He used two way glass. I have NO idea where you get it, but it is a sheet, and you place it on the outside of the mask that you have.

You should be careful with those gasmasks, I have a few and a couple of weeks back I found out from a dealer that most of them are covered in Asbestos powder, which ain't too great for your body.
Some people call it Vo-coder.
where did you get the lenses? Im making a combine costume and i want lens for it because the combine dont have clear lenses and i personally dont like the clear lens, And I like these refelctive ones and they would go good with the costume.
