That starter needs a raise! Obviously I'm game to see 750 content
It’s what all starters should aspire to be. Thanks for watching.
Oh yeah, CB750 projects. I’d doll one up as a touring bike of the era. Windjammer fairing, saddle bags, rear trunk and/or rack. Extra points for malaise beige or brown. Obviously for a bike of this age, you take what you can get that’s in decent shape.
That’s a great idea. I have a friend that has a load of those fairings. 🤔
Breaks my heart that I didn't even try unfreezing the engine off my 350 scrambler back on the 90s....and went ahead and swapped it out for a 305, which bolted right up and ran good.
Thankfully this one broke free pretty easy. Thanks for watching.
‘They are heavy’…never a truer word was said. I tore a tendon lifting my ‘79 CB750 by hand. I invested in an engine crane/hoist after that.
The struggle is real. Thankfully I didn’t hurt anything but my pride. 😂🤣😂Thanks for watching.
I'd love to see both CB750 projects!
That’s the plan. Thanks for watching.
750 gang! ❤❤❤
It’s happening. Thanks for watching.
I always like that you clean it first!!
Thanks. Two reasons I do it. #1 the better it looks the more I want to do something with it. #2 I get less dirty. 😂🤣😂
I say do both. I love seeing them come together and back to life ❤
wow that was sorted fast i had a cx 500 took me two weeks to free up and get running and that was playing for an hour every day well done ❤
I’m not complaining. I will take an easy win every now and then. 😂🤣😂
Go for it on the CB750 stuff
It’s gonna happen. Thanks for watching.
Good project motor. If you’re going to unstick it you might want to take the rocker covers off. Unless I’m going to immediately run the motor I take the head off and unstick it in that state. Saves on finding unobtainable parts in the long run.
That’s a great idea. Thanks for watching.
Oh yes 2 cb 750.s would be cool 👍 i would love to hear that engine run 😊😊
I want to hear it run. Hopefully it doesn’t sound like a bag of marbles in a dryer.
I've always felt the SOHC 750 Four was the coolest looking motorcycle engine ever made. A close second was the CBX. Hate to see those busted cooling ribs. Never did a bike engine sound better, especially with the original oem 4 into 4 exhaust.. New sub.
Greetings from the UK. Great content, thank you 😀
Thanks for watching.
This gives me hope. I have a 350-4 that is seized up tight like that.
Another 1 freed up. 👍
Love saving them.
@@motorcyclerewind yes 💯% with you.
Watch your back when maneuvering those heavy engines, ugh !
Heres an issue to be aware of with these honda 4s. Sticking valves. I have seen this happen more than once when these engines have been sitting for awhile. Fires up fine , then bang valve through a piston. Best option , firstly make sure piston is down then whack each valve with a hammer , to be sure that each valve goes fully down and returns again. Just winding it over is not enough, when it gets to high revs that valve may go down just a little further and stick.
time to get the hammer out!
Another good project
This one or two will be fun. Rummaging for parts. Thanks for watching.
YES!!! for CB750 projects. Engine numbers?
70-71 (K1)1101682 -This one
1973 (K3) 2226667-Rebuilt one
@@motorcyclerewind Thx!
Yea get it 2 🔥🙏👌👍👍
Twice the fun. Thanks for watching.
I have a 73 and a 77 750 project bikes waiting for me to get busy. Would like to see you build one.
Always save the bike
My thoughts exactly.
God Job!! Curious, how far can you trust a unseized engine like this? Will you borescope the bottom?
Well I rode the GPZ1100 3,000 miles. It was in way worse shape.
@@motorcyclerewind OH yes, the GPZ!!! true dat 😁😁
I have a junk stator that i mount onto stuck motors. there are many tricks to unstick them. some just wont free up. I have a 6000 mile 76 that is fused inside. sucks sometimes
Junk stator is a good idea. Have to get creative when you only buy junk motorcycles. 😂🤣😂
Do 2 CB750's...😊
Might as well. What else am I gonna do with the engine. 😂🤣😂Thanks for watching
@@motorcyclerewind true 👍 🙌 👏 👌
i have several spare cb750 frames if you need one. any part you need
Don’t threaten me with a good time. 😂🤣😂 My buddy Bill has 7-8 sitting on the side of his barn. Going to rummage through them for bits and pieces. Probably will be contacting you. Thanks for watching.
What are you doing to the cam & mains without any oil?
Oil was pumping out of it.
@@motorcyclerewind Only oil pumping out was what was squirted into the cylinders. The CB750 engine is a dry sump engine so there was no oil in the sump to lube the main or rod bearings or pump up to the cam.
any oil in the engine when youre spinning it over ?
Yes there is some.
Gave up after it fell off the trolley twice 👎
Thanks for watching
