I really enjoy Monfils' racquet preparation. He takes it back nice and early, especially on the forehand. He replicates the same shot over and over. Great balance. Hits it right in the middle of the racquet. Phenomenal shot.
@@pekkalanne846 Mannarino's a guy that, when you watch him, you're like, "How is this guy 55 in the world?" Especially in that he's a dubious 5'11" tall and maybe 160 pounds. But he has crazy fast hands, and even though he doesn't hit very hard, you can't really overpower him. Plus he's a phenomenal competitor and works all the lefty angles really well. Gotta respect him for that. And I mean, he'd kick my ass, so my opinion on him is only so relevant.
@@bobbyearles4230 Mannarino is the model for many players aspiring to be higher level players. He is one of the most efficient players that is making money playing tennis. He's very grounded on all his shots, plays within his skill level and just makes his targets. He is basically calling bs on every teaching pro that is telling juniors to use the jumping two foot pivot on the forehand like Thiem. Not that it's not effective, just not practical for most.
KW Tennis Nation totally agree. Mannarino will even occasionally catch a top guy having a bad day and take him out. Kohlschrieber is another guy like that, even though I’d say that Kohlschrieber is a pretty exceptional athlete in his own right.
