Mr.Shapovalov admittedly has a beautiful backhand if I dare say THE most fluent and flowing of the single handed backhands of the Top 20. Note his grip which is classic, his follow through which is free, excellent timing, and hitting most balls on the rise and it doesn't hurt that he's a strong lad.
the irregularity of shapovalov is shown in this practice. one ball in, two into the net, two out the court. the same happen in matches. that is his biggest weakness. he has great strokes but much of them go off the court.
Why is that next gen forehand not getting any results? not any player hitting that way is winning slams or big titles, the only two (Thiem and Medvedev) players who seem to challenge the old pros, don't hit that way...

how about federer?
Denis has a great one-handed backhand. Love the way he has the kind of wide forehand to put great topspin. Great Video!!
Agut plays a classic forehand style, really like that in the modern days, a Flat hitter like myself.
Fantastic vid. Super high quality and framerate. 👏🏻

That onehanded bh is so nice too watch!
Has anyone noticed that Shapovalov has a huge left arm compered to his right arm? That’s hora help to hitting big ground strokes. 💪🏻
Very explosive on his back left leg on almost every forehand
Never realized how wristy Agut’s forehand is

Good strokes are different than beautiful strokes. His strokes are nice to watch, however, a good stroke can never be said when you miss 3 out of 5
Came here for agut forehand lol
Why
What a beautiful backdrop. Where is this?
Indian Wells, California
Good session ay, Denis his tecnique is way more beautiful than Agut's
but FH inconsistent
agut hitting like a geezer
Denis has a great future but he needs more consistency
Good point
Who put up mountains and palm trees near a tennis court?
Whos complaining?
I’ve been there. It is a beautiful view, especially if you can see it behind your training partner. Makes practice sessions so calm and fluid.
nice view + tennis court = good day
it's called California
Roberto Bautista se mueve como un hombre de 70 años
cierto jaja
Pues el pibe ganó a Djokovic tres veces, ya me dirás si es motivo de risa

Idk man. The next gen forehand gives them more spin and power. I think it really just comes down to their inferior mindset and mental toughness.
very goog
I know RBA is a great player, but man does he have an ugly forehand.
pretty boring practice session...
RBA's form looks horrible. He looks so stiff and doesn't bend his needs at all especially on his forehand. Shapovalov has a beautiful bh with power
Shapovalov is way better than RBA
He isn't though
Shapo has the world's only ugly 1hbh
Rb forehand sucks
No
No. Rob forehand is simple and effective
