@@alicefox7076that might be why I haven’t given much thought to women’s professional sports before this. Can’t watch->can’t get attached to the team->can’t get emotionally invested Like I love March madness, but I’ve certainly never seen the women’s tournament. Just the men. And if I could actually watch them with virtually no barrier, I might actually be invested in them too.
I am so in love with this league and the quality of the teams and players that they've put together. The chemistry is already forming on some of the teams, and content like this is only going to help grow the audience and the sport. Thanks for doing this TSN!
the thing i miss the most about playing ice hockey is spending time with my teammates all of the time and going to tournaments and stuff. i still see my closest teammates once in a while, but not on the ice. they are more like family than just teammates. hockey is amazing. i should really get back on the ice. i'm really looking forward to watching the pwhl games. they seem like really nice ladies.
That was great! Thanks for filming them. I now have a better idea of who they are. Knight, Captain if Boston, is a troublemaker and just so stoic. I love her.
This league reminds me a little of the 2020 version of the XFL. They didn't try to become too big too fast, and they focused on the fans and the players, with huge emphases on accessibility and satisfaction. And then the world gave us a reminder of why we can't have nice things... I've watched a couple of the game replays (so glad they're available for free!!) and the quality looks very professional and competitive. Very excited to see what the future will bring for the league. Hope there's a team close by someday-though it took the NHL 50 years to get here. All in due time.
So stoked to make the long trip to the Twin Cities for the home opener on Saturday! Got season tickets on the glass right behind the bench. Let's go Minnesota! First year ship!
I AM ❤️ing THIS LEAGUE AND THE LADIES !!! … sooo happy that they got this !!! .. I’ve always thought some reporter questions were just stupid too .. I’d love to see a reporter say something like “ your down 3 goals what can you do better next period ??” .. player answer .. “ Score goals stupid “ and just look at them dead pan face .. 😂 .. all the best to all of you Ladies from here in Cambridge Ont. .. never thought I’d say it ( New Jersey Devil fan) but I’m cheering for Montreal .. OUR CANADIAN CAPTAIN MARIE !!! 💯❤️🙏
Hoping this league takes off, would be great for future generations. You go girls, living your dreams. Ignore the sexist bastards, they only complaining, because their dreams, have turned into nightmares...
It doesn’t matter for me all athletes women’s hockey teams it all beautiful to hear them all talk like this is so wonderful off ice talk just love this video so much and women’s thinking the games it so different that beauty compared to man’s games I get to see both hockey it truly amazing it really only sport that make me so happy as hockey fan 🇨🇦🇺🇸🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💙💙💙💙💙😎
I grew up with 2 chicks on my team for first few seasons till contact came in then they had to go into womens league but they were part of the squad till then
I want more PWHL content. I dont want to watch the smelling salt challenge though. Don't use the views on this video alone as a gauge for how popular these videos can be. If they were doing something more interesting, I think more people would watch. I certainly would
Why smelling salts when they smell horrible some challenges people can say "NO" to. 😂 When the nose hairs shrivel up usually means do not smell this? 😂 Later!
Wow clickbait much.. Title of video is just the last minute and change of almost 14 minutes.. 🤣🤣 Skip ALL THE WAY to the end to see it.. Spoiler alert, it's not even worth watching.
The fact that these women know what smelling salts are, proves that they have taken too many shots to the head. Smelling salts are an old method to get the human body to inhale after taking a shot to the head. Women's hockey has too much of a problem with concussions, and the fact that this channel is making light of that is terrible. Women's hockey by far has the most concussions per capita of any sport.
My crappy highschool hockey team would probably beat any of these pwhl teams. That's why theyll never get a proper league going. I don't mean this offensively, but the skill level just isn't there. People are used to the nhl, junior and olympics. Thankfully, seems like they're allowing more contact. Which definitely makes it more exciting. But the skill levels gonna have to go way up before they get any permanent fan base. This is all my opinion. I'm not trying to bash the women or be sexist. Just my observation and opinion on why women's hockey never seems to do well. Similar to basketball. The women's games are just not exciting. Lots of air balls, no dunking. Etc.
Men have all the resources to become as good as they are... these women are doing the best with what they are given. Women's leagues don't do well because they have never been normalized, they don't get nearly as much funding, and are not streamed on well known channels. That is simply it, and your negativity is completely unneeded. These women are not going to read your comment and have some insane realization that nobody watches them because they aren't "good". So truly, there was no point in sharing this negative opinion of yours. Women weren't even allowed to check until VERY recently, so we even had rules restricting us from being more "entertaining" to everyone. Rules set in place by who? You guessed it! Men. To be more specific the IIHF board decided in 1990 after a championship where they allowed it, that there would no longer be allowed body checking. The board was made up of only men, so yes I am sure that is who banned it. Figured I would provide background information so you don't have to tell me I pulled it out of thin air.
If anything the opposite is true. Women don't have an incentive to continue playing and develop their skill as teenagers without professional leagues to enter. As it is a lot of the players with potential quit before or in high school because they can't make a career out of it. The league has to exist before women's hockey can reach its full potential. Supply and demand
Takethe epsom salt challenge.. Take a mr noodle cup fill it a quarter of the way with epsom salts and water see how long it takes to stop pooping... Not dangerous.. Its a natural laxitive
Can’t wait to see this league grow. I love that their games are accessible and these players seem really down to earth.
I think that is the biggest hurdle for women’s sports…making viewership easy for fans and with them partnering with YT…anyone can watch.
I didn't realise they were streamed on RUclips. I'm definitely going to watch a game if it's that easy.@@alicefox7076
@@alicefox7076 the biggest hurdle is getting women to actually watch and support each other.

@BpLavoie you wanna try that bad English again?
Yay hockey players with personality ❤
Hockey players that can manage to string more than two sentences in a row.
So looking forward to these games, more hockey to watch.

This is already better than most NHL interviews, except for any involving Kessel he is a treasure. More please!
Because professionalism is drilled into these young men at an early age.
As a Montreal fan, it kills me to say the Boston player wearing the backwards cap is so cool. I love her and I'm ashamed lmao
The real fans of women hockey all love hilary knight shes amazing at what she does.
More PWHL content!! This had me laughing so hard 😂

Yeah she said flow down. It means leaving her hair loose/not putting it in a ponytail. That one took me a few seconds to figure out too 😄

lowell not boston. the bruins are actually in boston because they can afford it
Dominkia has a bit of a look similar to Ronda Rousey
Great to see that Montreal was able to get Rasmus Dahlin!
Ambrose is the best lol

Don't like the idea of having to use smelling salts. Dumb idea. Not good to watch.
