I think the PWHL is doing all the right things to get the league going and remain for years to come. I don't know what I think about a couple of the jerseys but I can see how they can at least grow on fans.
LA Kings original jersey from 1967 until 1988 was purple, they switched to black/white/silver when Gretzky was traded from the Oilers. They've used the old school purple/Crown jersey as 3rds a few times, pretty sure there are replicas without names or numbers online for less than $100. If you want something a little more historical the one most collectors would get is Marcel Dionne's #16 from his first season in LA in 1975/76 or from 1980/81, the year the Triple Crown Line dominated the NHL and the NHL made every team put names on the back of jerseys (LA didn't prior to 1980), Dionne, Dave Taylor & Charlie Simmer combined for 328 points to become the first line in NHL history where each player scored 100 points or more in the same season. Dionne scored 58 goals, 2nd to Mike Bossy's 68 and 3 more than Gretzky's 55, he also had 77 assists & 135 points, both 2nd to Gretzky who was 1st overall with 164 points total.
All except Toronto. Every other team for the most part upgraded on their season jerseys but Toronto completely changed from last year and their new jerseys are a total downgrade across the board
My first jersey was Atom hockey, the Selkirk Fishermen. Our logo had "FISHERMEN" over a walleye on a hook, sorta like the Bass Pro logo. Now they use the "Captain Highliner" aka "Fisherman" logo the Islanders were once ridiculed for. We didn't get to pick our own numbers when I was a kid and nobody got a number over 39, I wanted 9 or 10 (Guy Lafleur or Bobby Hull) but got 18 and was made a defenceman because I was a terrible shot, only scored 6 goals in 4 seasons as a skater. My last 2 seasons in Pee Wee I played goal and was told I couldn't keep 18 because it wasn't a goalie number, 1 was taken so I took 36 (18 x 2) but I never felt "right" in that number. When I was 13 I traded all my hockey gear for a 1974 Cherry Wave Gibson Les Paul, which I never learned to play.
MPP hits the nail on the head. And I dig the Peninsula Eagles jersey, too. Yo, what if the Pizza Rat mascot character for the Sirens was named Jet in honour of Zandee-Hart's old nickname?
@@OfficialChris88I’m hoping they sell aways too! I really like the Victoire away-better than the home-so I’d definitely buy that and a Sceptres home. Maybe a Fleet one as well…
hell yeah! I didnt even know she was from the island... and she played on the peninsula eagles MHA team??? That is in the heart of my hometown!!!! that is so cool!
Dear Bauer Hockey, Could you please consider dropping that "bouncing puck" logo you currently have? The Flying B logo from the mid 90's is way much better. Thank you. Yours sincerely, Edward Burek UK-born, bred, and based PWHL fan. PS - nice jerseys, by the way.
Do people really like these names logos? They seem like they were made up by a single marketing team who doesn't know each individual market, let alone hockey. Toronto Scepters might be the worst name in top tier pro sports, men or women. Like, what the F does Sceptres have to do with Toronto, hockey, or women? Why not just use a European Soccer model and just call them the Toronto Maple Leafs (women's team), now that would be special! Ok, not unique, but certainly meaningful to this city and to hockey, and why shouldn't the men share the spotlight? Ok, so maybe the women want to carve their own path, but Sceptres certainly isnt the way to go. The PWHL should have had fans submit nicknames, make all submissions (that are family friendly) public, then let fans in each city vote. The Boston logo looks like a Hartford Whalers logo rotated about 90°, Ottawa Charge, name and logo suck. Lets get real, these women deserve better!
A bunch of new jersey designs and they all look great. 50 years+ of the Vancouver Canucks and theirs - every one of them, and to this day - sucks. I could never understand why Vancouver's logo on their very first jersey, had a television screen with a hockey stick over it. "Oh it's a hockey rink." "Yeah. Didn't work." It really has never gotten better.
O:38 The Victoire's shirt is amazing, it recalls both the Nordiques and the Montreal Canadiens traditions. Good luck to our girls!

Montreal won this round. By far the best jersey.
Those jerseys are so sharp. Like the little details in the numbers
What an amazing video. These women are such an inspiration, and to watch them relive some childhood memories is wonderful.
They're all so humble and deserving!
The Montreal jersey wow chef kiss 🤌🏻
i know that voice behind the camera!!!
who is it
That purple jersey looks so good. Might have to grab one. Wish there was an NHL team with a purple jersey

Utah missed a phenomenal opportunity
The original LA Kings jersey. I have been NHL for 70 years.
A white heise would be tempting
There’s a purple kings reverse retro I believe
This is amazing. I can't wait til the new PWHL season begins. #gotoronto #pwhl #sport
The Boston and Montreal jerseys look great
Hope BC gets a PWHL team!
They will Vancouver deserves it
A Western conférence is too expensive at this point in time.
@@leecox6241 Yes, I think I heard that the amount of travel costs it would add would make it infeasible. But hopefully that changes.
omg... I DID NOT expect to cry this much!
Those jerseys are all fire

Sorry Hilary, i love watching you play and all, this might also be me being a biased canadian here but the best jersey in the league is Montreal's.
they told me these were pizza's - Hilary Knight 2024
Ottawa Flames
Montreal and NY are my highlights. Wish Minnesota's were a bit better.

The best designs/logos.....too bad the WNBA doesn't use the same designers....
When the Calgary Flames and Cleveland Cavaliers have a baby.
❤❤❤
as long as they dont go the way of the wnba they will be successful
hockey "sweaters" not called jerseys
The older ones were sweaters, these are jerseys now
Both names are accurate. It doesn't matter what you call them. And I'll go with whatever the players call them anyway
Said Roch Carrier! 😊
To those of you who post negative stuff about the Ottawa jersey: Admit you don’t get it and move on.
Ottawa got hosed
Can you send me a custom care package
still sweaters.....we aren't playing football.
No Minnesota girls? Booo . They play real community hockey

Does anybody else think they are making the NHL softer as an attempt to try and make us watch this?
Say what?😅!
@@leecox6241 Well. They promote this at exactly the same speed they promote no fighting in NHL. It's pretty obvious.
