Trying to remove rit dye from synthetic wig using rit dye remover, after I am going to dye it again using the watercolour stove top method using rit dye.

Laundry liquid bleach removes rit in just minutes. One cup bleach 1/2 cup water. Starts removing instantly! 👍

@@PhyllisBanks So do you think or did your synthetic wig lace become clear or at least clearer from orange after this method? I didn’t really see the lace in the beginning so I was wondering. I dyed my synthetic wig the same color and the lace is like a dark res now and I wanted to try to get back the had lace it had or a bit less dark and red. Thank you!💕

After the 2nd round of remover, it looked almost like a natural ginger color. Like the singer of Guns N’ Roses if you’re familiar with them

Try even parts of peroxide (3%) and water to remove colour. Put it in a spray bottle, spray on and leave from 30-45 minutes.

thank you for this. My issue is with the base of the topper. I used purple RIT the base of it is purple. I’m not sure how I can conceal that with my hair but I will try thank you again for showing us how to get a handle of getting color out of a wig

did you stain the lace ? If so how did u get it out ?

It did stain the lace but it made it a brownish colour which I didn’t mind. If you try it and the lace stains you could try blotting it out with 91% alcohol and a qtip but I’m not sure if it would get the stain out fully.

You have to use the Rit DyeMore Synthetic, the all purpose one doesn’t work for synthetic hair 😭
