Awesome video man, Super simple and very well explained . I️ do how to videos also , so I️ can appreciate what you’re doing and good workmanship! Keep up the good work !
Thanks so much for putting this out. I need to replace a bad, worn out door latch on my 09 Porsche Boxster. Now I know basically how to do it thanks to you.
The the windows were not working through the driver's door control, I removed the door cover with the help of your video, disassembled the control, sanded it with 2000 sandpaper and started working again, Thanks for the video.
I really appreciate what you're doing with all of your videos, they are very helpful. I've got a tough day trying to remove the base bracket of the windshield back review mirror! Mine is fully manual one , kindly give it a shot and tell us how you can take it off.
Summit Auto Lab honestly, my wife pop's the center review mirror to hang some red indian dream catcher, so she took off the mirror and the bracket stays on the windshield, i tried to fix it back by holding the mirror straight and pushing it back, with a little pressure on it and Bam! I broke my windshield 😰 so i bought a new windshield and ready to install it but i face a huge deal to remove the bracket from the broken glass! It's like a hard shaped plastic with a ball end shape attached by a metal plate glued to the windshield.
Excellent tutorial - made the process of taking off the door panel so much easier so thanks very much! Just for info, I found it easier to remove the silver door handle completely by pulling it to the opening position, and undoing the screw which is exposed on its inner side that attaches it at its base - then pull the handle towards you and it should slide off easily enough. But thanks again.
Great video, it's nice to know where the clips are going to be before you pry, especially on that stupid triangle as I previously broke the top clip when taking it off because I didn't know
I've looked thru a bunch of your videos and they're all extremely helpful as I am a new Cayman owner, however, have you ever removed the dash? I need to tack this job to replace the pass airbag. Was wondering if you had any experience with this? Love all the videos by the way !!
Thanks for this video! The screws are a piece of cake but the clips were a pain in the @$$. Had to such a lot of force, tried levers, pulling and it finally came off in such a way that the plastic around a few clips broke while the clips still sat in the door. Seems to me like a production issue with the clips, investigating one revealed that the moving part of it fits too tight in the counter piece. Will now glue some parts together and hope the assembly back goes better.
On the driver side window, the film that covers the window in the inside is peeling from the bottom front corner. Each time the window opens and closes, it agitates the issue, and it gets worse. I figure I'm going to have to pull the door apart to access the window and redo the film covering. Is this how I would expose the window in order to do this correctly? I watched your whole video, and I can see how it is exposed at the end, but I'm not sure. Any help you can provide on this, I appreciate it. Thanks for the videos.
Thanks for the videos! I'm sure I'll be using the engine cleaning vid when the snow disappears. I'm looking for a scissor lift, what is the one used in this video?
great video! I've removed the panel and replaced the door lock lever. However I see the door release cable is only holding on by a single thread (this will break). Have you information on replacing the door latch cable?
How do you do when tinting the bottom of the side window? Do you remove the window och the rubber trim at the door? I've tried to squeeze the film between the rubber and the window, but the film wrinkles every time.

Awesome video man! Really enjoy seeing the inside of the Cayman, I use your videos to help me with my Porsche Cayman!
matthew clare so glad these help! I have plenty more videos filmed... just have to find time to edit and upload!
Nicely done video. Well engineered door panel and neat parts layout. Most cars have flimsy cardboard panels.
I really appreciate what you're doing with all of your videos, they are very helpful.

Spot on... just did this with your help. Excellent!

Thanks this was huge help. Had a very annoying rattle i thought was in driver pillar. Turns out it was my little speaker in the door.
Glad I could help! Working on modern German cars is actually pretty easy!!
@@SummitLife not too bad no! Next up is soul exhaust. Excellent video on that too
Your going to love the SOUL exhaust 😍😍
@@SummitLife do you happen to have any experience with the softronic ecu tune on souls website?
I do not unfortunately
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing
Good one,Thanks. You can remove the door handle to make it a bit easier to access screws behind it.

Unfortunately I have never removed the dash

Will Carnegie I have a quickjack. Love it! Mine is their middle grade one. 5000 lbs I believe
Thanks, I'm checking into it!
Thanks, that was very helpful. Just bought an 07' Cayman and the door speakers are blown. Not for long though... ;)
Nice! That's a super easy fun project! Enjoy!
Thank you , that was great

mark wheeler I've never done that but shouldn't be too difficult
I will let you know how that goes once I receive the part
where I'm from we call socket-wrenches 'ratchets'.
Good job thx
Good to see the process, my only concern is air bag false activation. Did you disconnect the battery prior?
You can’t activate the airbag. Only the control module can.
How do you do when tinting the bottom of the side window? Do you remove the window och the rubber trim at the door? I've tried to squeeze the film between the rubber and the window, but the film wrinkles every time.
Yeah I remove the door panel and rubber window trims. Makes Porsche windows a piece of cake to tint
👍🏻👍🏻
You keep covering the mic with your hand or something else and you go muffled....
Mark Scheurich yeah I covered it with my thumb by accident. Won't happen again!
Mark Scheurich duh
first :D
Great video looks like a pain in a @$$
Issue is now, how do we put it back on 🤣
Second D:
