You're tutorial is an answer to a prayer. My door panel has an upward bulge in the topmost portion allowing a gap next to the window. I'm putting in heavy duty velcro to fix. Much thanks, amigo.
I also have the same problem, I called Porsche this morning to see if they'll Good will it. Check this is. www.planet-9.com/981-cayman-and-boxster-problems-and-complaints/232019-door-panel-warping.html
I am watching this as need to replace my window switch too - is the switch replacement just pull out connector of old one and then install into new one?
Great video, many thanks, helped me a lot to change the door check arm. When pulling up on the door card to remove it, try to hold the plastic sub frame underneath the material as the material can pull away easily on the side furthest away from the a pillar.
Super useful video thanks. When doing this on my 981 the cable was so short there was no way to hold with pliers (or anything). However taking the door card off is a three minute job and then I could hold the push the connector on from the inside. So simple).
bringing it to an upholstery shop here in WA. Cheaper if you just bring them the door panels so they don't have to take them off and remount them. Quoted $200 per door by the shop. Will post a vid of what the repair looks like when I get it back next week.
Did a pretty good job. They mainly fixed the delamination between the outer panel and the underlying plastic. One flaw of bringing the door panels only to the shop is they don't know exactly how much to heat and mold them down to match the door edge. I ended up putting them in and then taking them out again. I used a heat gun to heat the underlying plastic until they fit flush on the door.
"You don't have to remove it. There's a catch to keep it in place but I'm going to remove it because it's in my way." Well then I'm going to remove it too because you know a whole lot more than I do...
A video like this should exist for everything. Simple and on point for what I was searching for.
Dude. You are the man! Thank you for taking the time to show this!

I got lucky. Took mine in for maintenance and they just replaced both door panels since it was a CPO
