That was NOT elephant rock. That was the rocks at fundy. Elephant rock was on PEI. Fundy is in New Brunswick. Both elephant rock and the fundy rock formation have suffered from nature but only elephant rock is completely gone now.
Missed Langtang Village (Nepal) in that video. It was completly destroyed in 2015 by an earthquake. Many local inhabitants and foreign tourists (including my cousin) died there.
I never got to visit Hopewell rocks, New Brunswick, which is where the Elephant rock was. I was hoping to go there a few years back but in 2016 the rock arch collapsed.
Valkota elephant rock was actually off the coast of PEI hopewell still stands although there’s been a few minor rock falls. Elephant rock was destroyed years ago however.
Worse come to worst, a buddha statue in Hatyai (Thailand) was asked to be cut off and left with the upper body only as it cannot be taller than the Islamic mosque (Note that: they are only 3% muslims and 97% buddhist in Thailand)
"And never would your Lord have destroyed the cities until He had sent to their mother a messenger reciting to them Our verses. And We would not destroy the cities except while their people were wrongdoers". (Quran Chapter (28) sūrat l-qaṣaṣ)
I've been to Rhodes and they think the story about Helios is entirely false and never even existed at all. The harbour is about a mile from the old town anyway.
That's interesting. There are many historical accounts of travelers going there and climbing on the wrecked statue and taking measurements of different parts, like the fingers. There's even documentation of the name of the man who dismantled the last of the statue from the base and sold off the copper and iron. No, I don't remember who it was, I read that 20 years ago.
One of the premier destinations in north Taiwan yehliu geopark is home to a number of unique geological formation "Queen head " is formed by wind, but she is still destroy by wind And one day, it is possible to broken her neck
One I can think of off the top of my head that was missed. Saudi Arabian city of Ubar, dubbed "the Atlantis of the Sands", swallowed nearly whole by the desert in an earthquake. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantis_of_the_Sands
I find it weird how you mention #6 as being an inspiration for Atlantis and not how Helike is. As many believe Helike is the actual inspiration for Atlantis, since it happened around the right time for Plato, was a flourishing city, and literally vanished into the sea.
Could be, but Helike is quite strongly considered as one of the posibilities, not the other one. Which is why i found it werid that since they did bring up Atlantis they didn't do so for Helike.
These places are reminders for humans to never forget they are not the strongest being in this world, take it as you will, weather or not you believe in God, no matter how big a building human's can build, it will never withstand nature itself.

Thank you for giving honorable mention to the Old Man of the Mountain. I have been there many times.
Missed Langtang Village (Nepal) in that video. It was completly destroyed in 2015 by an earthquake. Many local inhabitants and foreign tourists (including my cousin) died there.

I do recall hearing things about the Old Man of the Mountain in my home state.
xXGhoulishNinjaTurtleXx Hi fellow 603er!

RAЯ No. It was a mountain that had what appeared to be a man's face on the side. You can see it on 6:19 of the video.

Ironfoot I wish but they're probably too PC to do that (don't want to offend any Muslims by talking about Muslim extremists)
I thought that was what this list was going to be, since I couldn't see the whole title in the thumbnail.

I find it weird how you mention #6 as being an inspiration for Atlantis and not how Helike is. As many believe Helike is the actual inspiration for Atlantis, since it happened around the right time for Plato, was a flourishing city, and literally vanished into the sea.
Øyvind Aanderaa it could be that both were the inspiration for Atlantis
