it is really a pity that the only way to do this is by having special tools and technical skills. i can´t access bios to enable virtualization on my laptop since it has bios password... totally disapointed.
You didn't really need to pull everything apart. Just removing the back plastic cover was enough to expose the BIOS chip. I would also recommend using a chip test clip for reprogramming rather then unsoldering it out. But otherwise, thank you for this informative video.

I did, well the XgPro utility was set to erase the BIOS before programming - so when you click program, it will (by default) erase the BIOS IC before re-programming it
Does HP not let you download the bios for you laptop model from their website? I know Dell does. Not sure why you'd need to get it from a random website? As when I buy a used laptop, I'd always flash the bios with the latest version from the manufacturers website. Just so I know I have the latest version, and just in case the previous owner didn't do something right or messed with the bios, and then I'd also replace the CMOS battery.

Hi, I have a HP ProBook 4430s Laptop and the current configuration is as follows👇 2x2GB 1333Mhz PC3 RAM= 4GB, Intel Core i5 2520M Processor, 500GB HDD with Windos 10 Pro 64bit. I want to upgrade my RAM with 2x8GB 1600Mhz PC3 and also want to replace the hdd with the 500GB SSD but don't want to change the processor so is it possible to change all these without changing the the CPU. Please healp me in this regard🙏
Hi Rupak - the ProBook 4430s accepts DDR3 RAM, so as long as the RAM you are installing is compatible, then yes. The SSD should be SATA, so again you will be OK. No need to upgrade the processor.

Flashing with the BIOS from the HP website will not remove the BIOS password

Some laptops using DDR3 actually use DDR3L (1.3v low voltage) and not standard DDR3 (1.5v)

You do not need to run the exe file - simply drag and drop your original BIOS file on top of the exe file.

Remove the password jumper on the motherboard and boot it up. This will only work on desktops not laptops/
RCUnlocker just says "missing unlockable content" when I drag the bios into the program
