I can't believe there's an edited version of this film that cuts out that line from the Swedish princess and Eggsy's hilarious surprised reaction to hearing it.
In an already enjoyable movie, that bit stands out as infinitely making the movie more memorable. I think it's a shame there's versions without it.
So disappointing. People who found it "controversial" just didn't get the joke. The hero gets the girl, but this movie turns it up to 11 so the hero gets a literal PRINCESS offering buttsex
@@trequor People found that line to be controversial? What about the firm stance Colin Firth took in the church? That seems way more likely to trigger someone.
Didn't know ether I'm in the US and it has it so not sure if there's ones that did get cut
omg, I didn't know there saw a censored version until now. of all the jokes, damn
This is without a doubt one of the best Action-Comedy Spy films and love the cast consisting of Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Samuel L. Jackson, Sofia Boutella and especially Sir Michael Caine.
Honestly, both movies have pretty stacked lineups. In the sequel, we got Julianne Moore, Jeff Bridges, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, and Pedro Pascal (who unfortunately got done dirty with the marketing)
@xregulator40x I was aware I only was highlighting some of the notable actors in this film instead of Mark Hamill who only was in just one scene.
@xregulator40x No reason to point me out I left him out since his role was a minor cameo.
I had no clue there was a different edit for the Princess scene. That is super weird.
I saw the movie in theaters and we had the unrated cut here. Then I saw the film later and that scene was removed and I was like "wtf is this shit" lol
Yes I saw it in theaters too and it wasn’t cut. Also the information I am finding online says the US version isn’t cut. So I’m a bit confused by the claim this is a “US cut”
Yea what do you mean by US Cut? I have it on 4K, on Blu-ray, on dvd, and in digital and none of them cut that scene so idk what you guys mean by that
I've seen it since then, as well. Was the same cut as the theatrical version. It would be interesting to know where she got this copy, so it can be avoided.
*sigh* US censorship
damn that cut out scene... was the reaction we wanted to see lol
I didn’t know there was another version that scene even played in the theater, and every copy I own has it so idk how that happened
Same! I wonder if she had parental controls on so they got the cut that would satisfy the national broadcast censors. Like how all the Die Hards got ridiculously censored.
Honestly knowing the US they probably had to cut the Anal line or they would have gotten an 18/R rating
Rees is the chaotic neutral editor we didn't know we needed. 10/10
I know I'm late. But I agree. I love me a Sassy editor.
Sofia Boutella is *so* good in this. Not only does she act really well in a minor role, but because she was a dancer before an actor the vast majority of the final fight is actually her. She even makes the little details cool, like when she lands after Eggsy stabs her with his shoe and she turns round twice while sliding.
Seeing her name attached to something is a pretty strong motivator for me to watch it.
Shes totally my celeb crush
She was easily the best part of that awful Tom Cruise Mummy film from a few years back
@@christianwise637 ..and the best part of that Star Trek film
Should see her in climax ( not for those easily disturbed it’s very trippy)
The camerawork is especially good during action scenes in part because of the action choreographer Brad Allan; a lot of his moves demand moving shots to really show them off. Matthew Vaughn and Edgar Wright are especially good at making his choreography shine. He was Jackie Chan's protégé and it really shows.
Brad also had a hand in Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Pacific Rim, Shang-Chi, Kick-Ass, The World's End, and a bunch of other films with great action scenes. He died aged 48 in 2021. He's a big part of why these movies hit as well as they do.
One thing from the comic they didn't include was Pierce Brosnan. Both the comic and film make fun of James Bond, but in the comic Brosnan is one of the celebrities imprisoned by Valentine, and when Eggsy is going through the base, he breaks Brosnan out, Brosnan grabs a rifle, and starts fighting beside Eggsy
Glad she got to see the full version of the Princess in the cell. Kudos to Reese. I liked the explosion and "No" edit. Good job. I think you have your work cut out for you with Ange.
Didn't know there was a US cut until this reaction. Dafuq are they playing at?
True, but I would've liked to see her reaction. I was like 😮 when I saw it XD
@@TheChiraagG this isn’t a US cut. The US version is uncensored. Her editor got it wrong. The version she’s watching was either specifically cut for the platform she’s watching on, or she somehow ended with a non-US version.
This is one of my favourite movies. Taron, Colin & Samuel are perfect in this film. 🤘
In the cut with the Princess after Eggsy asks for a kiss the Princess replys with something along the like of "We can do it in the @$$hole." Which gives Eggsy extra motivation and he leaves with a smile on his face.
At the end the movie zooms in on her ass while Mycroft is/was watching from the glasses, then it cuts to credits.
It explains why they are together in the 2nd one which you musta forgot some things about. Like how Colin Firth has an eyepatch in the sequel.
"if you save the world you can do it up the ass! " and if you check the code "2624" of the doorlock, in the Telephone numbers/letters arrangement the code to the princess door is "ANAL"
"were the 3 extra bullets necessary?" we humans are sometimes hard to kill and pistol bullets dont usually kill on the first shot.
This is me and my brother's comfort movie, we've seen it so many times at this point but it never loses its charm.
Thanos was random. Valentine targeted poor people.
The Church scene is actually one of the best fight scenes in tv history
The idea for the comic this was based on came from a drunken talk Mark Millar had with the movie's director, Matthew Vaughn (who also directed "Kick-Ass", based on another Millar comic) about how spy movies had gotten so serious lately
Literally everything I can find says the scene is NOT cut in the US. I watched this movie in theaters with my dad and the scene was not cut. I have no idea what y’all are talking about with this being the US cut - sounds like maybe it was cut for whatever specific platform she’s watching it on.
R-rated films aren’t usually my thing, but this film is one of the few exceptions on my list. I remember watching it on HBO several years ago just out of nowhere. I actually enjoyed it. The most iconic line in my opinion would be manners maketh man.
There are a handful of already established actors in this spy thriller, but it introduced the world to Taron Egerton. His character Eggsy had me cracking up nonstop. He’s landed a number of breakout roles ever since.
Other reactors have finally been getting into this film including but not limited to Sebscreen, Rico Presents, Nikki & Steven, Movies with Mary, Alex Hefner, and of course Blind Wave.
Same!
You should check out Badd Medicine's reaction, they are great.
I forgot to mention them. I actually did watch it when it dropped.
That US cut is hilarious and sad to me in both 'haha US are so afraid of sex' and something something guns
Despite having the biggest porn industry on earth. Land of contradictions.
They cut this for the US audience??? What??? OMG
Yeah, and the movie has a scene where a whole church full of people brutally massacre each other, but one anal sex joke? Now that's just going too far!
@Geek Honestly I thought it was a fucking cringey joke too, but I find it funny that they cut it.
@@geek8001 In this case "butthurt" is the perfect term to describe their reactions. 😉
Loved the hair flip at “this is getting more and more dramatic” 😆 Also yeah you’ve definitely made worse puns then that “happy meal” one on your channel - but that’s all part of the fun 😂
This is one of the greatest ' Popcorn' films ever.
Just sit down, remove brain, eat popcorn and enjoy....
The action and fight scenes are just Amazing, the choreography combined with the long takes really does enhance everything.
Yes you do need wo watch the proper unedited version to get the jokes and references throughout the film.
Thanks again for a great review.
It'd definitely slightly above popcorn level with the filmmaking. You won't find action like that in marvel movies.
I just LOVE your editor 😂 I don't know how much money he gets, but he need a raise 😂😅 Definitely my sense of humor 😅😁❤️
Yes. Great editor. But they did mess up on this video by stating that this was a “US cut”, it’s not. US version is uncensored and has the line in it.
ur vibe is a vibe. you seem like a hooman worth kickin it with. genuine goes long
No joke, this is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's super silly, but just infinitely rewatchable. It's among a few movies I almost always get people to watch with me if they haven't seen it yet.
Edit: Also, the music is great. Henry Jackman's score for this film is some of my favorite movie soundtracks as well.
I remember watching this one in the theater, and it was glorious enough to get me to go back more than once XD One of the things that I love the most about it is that it really does genuinely subvert your expectations when it comes to things like the biggest, most spectacular fight scene in the movie: the scene in the church. Like, on the one hand, it is _phenomenally_ well filmed and performed, and yet... you feel kind of dirty for enjoying it as much as you do, given that not a single person in that fight had any sense of true free will. They were forced to fight with everything they had, and could not stop themselves.
2:28 New editor seems charming 😊 Shame that the CC on the video spells his name differently every time Angie says it (so I don’t know if it’s spelled “Reese”, “Rhys” or “Ruiz”) but the explosion/ rolling letters effect joke was on point 😂
I used to think I hate fight scenes. Turned out I just hated those that aren't in this movie. It became my most favorite movie. My previous most favorite movie was Kick-Ass, which was made by the same team 👌
I had no idea there was a US cut for this movie, but i absolutely adored it when i first watched it. the camera work, filmography, plotline and casting were stellar. top tier spy movie, definitely one of the best i've watched. loved ur reaction!!! ( i did have a crush on eggsy when i watched it too hehe- this vid reignited that)
2:40
I felt that response coming. Nailed that delivery.
This movie is straight 10/10. Im really glad it's starting to get more love and attention from reactors. Also, the church scene in a way was slight of hand also. They use distraction points and parts where something is blocking the camera to create hidden cuts to give it that one take feel. Still so masterfully done and for sure a beautiful moment!
jokes don't stop in this channel and it's great! Love it! 😁😁 Keep them coming 😜
Ange i loved the clip that was put in from Hot fuzz for the greater good that was fantastic. Well done to your editor.
your lighting is wonderful!!
lovin your editor's work
For a couple years, I've been plagued by weird lighting changes that neither auto- or manual exposure could compensate for. I was on a Zoom meeting, of all things, a couple weeks ago and my exposure kept blowing out. I finally noticed that it happened whenever the meeting leader shared her screen. Now I just need to figure out how to exploit it
The intro: Thats sorta why I have my dual monitors stacked on top of each other. I use the top screen with a white tab open to adjust lighting during zoom meetings and discord calls hahaha
I like the editor animation stuff in the beginning. That was hilarious!😂
She is the purest energy on the internet
I F love this movie, its actually one of my favorite movies, also btw, you have a lovely hair
This is my favorite movie. I saw it in theaters like 5 times. Definitely excited to see you react to number 2. Especially since you've forgotten about it. i sure hope nobody ruins anything. very good movie as well.
The second one was terrible 😂
@@imperialspy805 keep your shit opinions to yourself. Just because you don't like something doesn't make it terrible. If you got nothing nice to say, say nothing at all..
i love this series it's really fun!
Colin Firth also was amazing in his portrayal in The King's Speech... I highly recommend you watch it
I love the Kingsmen movies, although tbh the third one (it came out a couple years ago I think) traumatized me a little (it was so good though, it's basically a prequel movie called King's Man: The Beginning as far as I recall)
It's called The King's Man I believe
I've watched this movie so many times. I think it was my regular Friday night movie for a few months straight.
The second one was okay, but definitely not a rewatcher.
The third movie is full of brilliant moments. Highly under-rated.
"The Gentlemen" is a good one too
This movie is so extraordinary. One of the best spy films out there. The action scenes are incredible. And the actor who plays Eggsy is so beautiful I could look at his face for hours
I love your reaction 😂. Just subscribed
I had a pug from the time he was a puppy. Loved that little guy. Miss him all the time. He was the best.
Did he die
@@perryextreme9668 i guess so…. he’s talking in the past tense
omggg i was hoping you’d do this
One of my favourite movies. First watched it on my 23rd birthday in 2015. Eggsy became my crush❤
Angelina is just so perfect and so funny
great job with the receipts editor
great stuff ange
YEEEEES! One of my favorite movies ever!
I like your new intro, and the little Pez guy was kinda funny.
I love the new editor inserts 😂 very markiplier and lixian esk
I legitimately didn’t know what I was getting into the first time I sat Dow to watch this movie. I had no idea who the cast was beforehand and was pleasantly surprised with Colin and Samuel L Jackson, and the cinematography is genuinely some of the best I think I’ve ever seen in a film, and the action scenes are probably the closest thing to a perfect action scene there can exist, and I will die on that hill. This is one of my favorite films ever, tying with Scott Pilgrim vs. the World with Michael Cera.
Easily one of my favourite movie series,, so good! It was such a different take on the classic "Spy" and espionage movie.
The callback to kingsmout in the edit is top notch
I’ve never clicked on a video so fast in my life! 🤣
12:25 BEST PRODUCT PLACEMENT EVER. If I was ever presented with a platter with that, I'd be like "Oh.. I'm in heaven."
The new editor is great!
love your reactions
Please do the other two too also aswell 🤞🏻
i love your reaction videos 🥰
Cool new intro love it 👏👏👏
16:14
What’s happening is that free bird has begun 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I don’t care either but I do have a suggestion I’ve been saving for all my reaction channels and you brought it up. Digital projectors are getting super cheap (60-80) for low definition hdmi projecting and sometimes come with cloth screens. Seeing films this way is better for the eyes and can help with consistent lighting as the screen reflects less light. Especially older movies were meant to be seen from far away in lower definition. Anyway, just something to think about 👍
Ooo new intro!
One of the great tragedies is we never got a Matthew Vaughn-directed Star Wars film post-Disney acquisition. I think he would have killed it (assuming there was a good script with it too!)
I cant wait till u react to the 3rd aka the prequel the kings man !
I saw this in the theaters in the U.S. and they most certainly had that line with the princess in it. I may have seen the NC-17 version, because I think they had two versions of the movie out at the time in the U.S., but I can't honestly recall 100%. Such a delightfully ridiculous, self-aware, and fun take on the spy movie.
I'm sure someone has mentioned this before, but Samuel Jackson admitted during the press junkets for this movie that he actually grew up with a lisp and that it was only with great effort and training with a speech therapist that he was able to get rid of the lisp. I'd be very interested to know if he had any issues after filming with the lisp returning that he had to work with someone again. I feel like that is one of those things that you can possibly fall back into if not careful, especially depending on how many years he had it originally.
1 and 2 were amazing! I still haven’t seen the 3rd one
The door code 26-25 at the end has a secret meaning 🤣
“The greater good”😂
great video ps nice glasses
Fun fact: pin code 2625 (on old cellphones) means the same thing she offered in the movie.
I love the post credit scene. The goons look at each other, because they know have ptsd from Henry. XD
You are the best! ❤
5 minutes in, Reese is a legend😂❤️
The Kingsman series was shot at 22 FPS for the fight scenes to make them seem much faster.
Glad you liked this one, fun action movie
Yes he was a Kingsman at the beginning. There were many "James Bond" opportunities for word play you missed..
Like "he split way too soon" or "He's half the man he used to be" or "he's of two minds about this situation."
I didn't care about the lighting till you brought it up and now it's all I can think of...
the guy from the beginning who gets split into 2, is the same actor who plays the guy who wants to marry elizabeth in pirates of the caribbean
Love how you are memeing super hard
20:30
That odd cut? That is a censorship cut. In the normal movie, she says, "If you save the world, we can do it in the asshole?".
Eggsy's response is a little more understandable with that context!
glad I'm not the only one who saw the sequel first
please watch the second movie in this series and also the prequel movie called the kings man in your future reaction videos, ange!!
We need a movie with Tom Holland & Taron Egerton together.
Epic!😊
one of my favorite movies ever!!
No ange! You're fire! 😂
I love this movie so much
All the Kingsman movies were directed by Matthew Vaughn who also did the first Kick Ass movie.
If you loved this, you have to see Kick-Ass! It's the same director and same comic book writer, it's absolutely amazing!!
YESSSSSS PLEASE REACT TO THE SECOND ONE TOO
Lmao Rees has really good humour
YUUUUUSSSSSSSS
