Wrecked @Mtech 1967 mustang gets real fastback inner structure.

- I decided to go with real fastback inner structure on this car. I was originally going to just make the inner panels like I normally do but I want this car to be as if ford motor company built it. the parts used on this car can be purchased at most any classic mustang supply company. parts used for the conversion are fastback full quarters fastback roof skin rear roof brace fastback filler panel. fastback rear upper panel fastback drip rails fastback trunk corners and fastback inner structure unwelded versions.

BUILD THE BULLITT!!!!
At the end of the day it’s your choice but I’ve always loved the Bullitt Steve McQueen 👍
I personally like the bullet, but if it’s a keeper, you should build your dream rat rod. I’ll watch either way.
Know matter the direction if a build im here for it and having you boy help is great memories you'll will cherish forever
Maybe let it be Steve McQueen's green mustang.I know it's not a fancy car with stripes and fiberglass spoilers like Eleanor or Shelby car,but it has also a timeless look and good energy.(fourth option is also a good idea..)
I'm happy to see someone like you is giving a new life to all those cars who would probably end up in crushers.
Greetings from Serbia - south Europe ;)
Yep. I mostly buy cars no one else buys or fixes. Thankyou so much for watching all the way over there.
Bullitt Bullitt Bullitt Bullitt Bullitt Bullitt
The GT 500 White with Blue stripes.
And drive it.
The Steve McQueen car, beautiful clean looking lines
I agree
Go with your gut man. Do the survivor. Something about that wore out car I like! You do awesome work my friend. Love the content for us ford guys!💪
Survivor cars rock
Thanks
Thankyou
Do what you want but I vote for the Shelby GT 500!
great decision on making it a real fastback with the correct innards.
Thankyou. Yes I agree.
For this car... build the GT500 at the end of the movie. But, paint it so it looks like the paint is 50 years old, with patina. Maybe even put the Shelby stripes on it, but with the appearance as if they are almost worn off. It would look cool.
I like your style
If you mean Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds.....HUGH thumbs down. Unless you are 12. If you're gonna do it, do it right. Classic 67 GT Fastback, Shelby 350 or Shelby 500
Do the legit end of the movie survivor looking car. I’ve never seen one in the wild. It would be a great thing to see plus you would probably be the first guy to do one that way the original GT500 that is rough and ready!! Plus it will get more looks than a trailer queen and parking lot dings would add to the look for free. 🤣 love the channel and that you gave everyone some input.
I'm with you. I'd like to have a car gathering a crowd over how rough it appears it be.
Would love to see you do a Bullit Car , my personal favorite besides 65 gt 350
Definitely number 4 the ending car there’s to many nice cars at car shows in my opinion there nice to look at but I wouldn’t hop in them and drive one everyday it’s nice to not have to worry about paint or keeping it immaculately clean but at the end of the day build what you want man I’m just happy to see them saved
Right saving them is what matters
I'm watching for whatever you do. They all look great. B
Thankyou so much
Ya do what you love but I like the gone in 60 seconds great work 👍👍👍👍
Thankyou
Being old enough now, and young enough at the time to see the movie when it first came out it would have to the bullit car .
I think the GT500 with Eleanor upper and lower side scoops would look great.
4th. option is a 428 SCJ. Pick yo favorite tranny, n a 4:30 posi out back. Very few were made of these. Check out 1968 drags for the whole year. Rare but talked about a lot. 💯🗽🇺🇸
I like the last idea about the banged up car Memphis got at the end of Gone in 60, with the patina and all. So it always looks like its a work in progress which every car is right, but really your choice since it will be your own personal car.
Thanks bud
@@MrGonein60 NP man, I've been working at the parts store for years and just enjoy seeing what you guys are working on. Just keep doing what makes you happy!
You do this for a living hell yeah you work hard
It's more like play
Standard GT500 with the Elanore wheels in Resell red with all the factory GT500 decals
Enjoy these videos. My opinion, Do the end of gone in 60 car. You looked excited about doing it that way when you talked about it. Besides its your car your call. Also making it an end of movie car hasnt been done yet on youtube that i know of
I like your thinking
4th of July coming up. Maybe keep it going with the 67, paint it camo and get a nice American flag for it.
Looks like you have perfected the coupe to fastback. Now, how about a coupe to convertible. Just needs inner rockers, bracing across the trans tunnel between front seats, and sheet metal to house the convertible top, oh... and the door glass and quarter glass is different. You can do it!
Hey if convertibles become popular I'll definitely start building them. The upper part of windshield frame is different also. I've built a few convertibles also. Not out of coupes though. Thankyou for watching
Do the boss 429... And great job brother 💯
Keep up the great work man, Im happy your able to get use out of the old 68 parts car , would make a killer 67 GT500 Nightmist/Parchament car
That would definitely look good. I'm leaning towards the gt500 look
Safety Glasses! You only have 2 eyes.
Gt500 👍
Gt 500 painted driver quality job that will earn its chips and dings doing doughnuts and burnouts on the back roads legitimately. It will earn its history and patina over the next chapter of its life.
Yep. Definitely on my gravel rd. Be chipped up in 1 day.
I like the GT500. White with blue stripes or maybe even the rare Hertz red with gold stripes. Just throwing it out there
I like red also
I love the Bullitt but a dream car would be the Shelby GT 500 but a little nicer than the one at the end of gone 60 seconds 😂. you have the original back glass original interior make them wonder and think it's a Shelby not trick them but make them say now that's a real Shelby
Can you buy that part of inner structure separate from the whole side kit
Right
@Must-Stangingarage unfortunately no. I never use whole sides either. It's crazy they won't just sell what ya need
0:54 " She is rougher than a night in Jail" hahhahahaha
I know right I couldn't help it.
Like option #2 Gt 500 build
New to the channel. Awesome work man. Excited to get caught up on all the old videos.
That's awsome. Get to watching lots of entertainment 🤣
I would say the GT 500 but since you are going to keep it for yourself then fix it the way you want it. I mean you are the mustang whisperer, so I don’t think there anything you can’t do to one love your channel. Would love to watch you put an Eleanor nose on one though. Thanks for your videos!
I'm working on a complete eleanor bodykit installation video now.
Eleanor all day long ❤
Maaan its hard to choose but im leaning toward highland green bullitt for 2 reasons:
1 no fiberglass parts
2 simply its gorgeous
Yep easy and beautiful.
The banged up GT-500 at the end of gone in 60 seconds is my vote. All the others have a ton of people who own them, but the banged up sleeper is perfect. And Pantina for the win. All of us could have one like that, you build for all of us...so do a car we could all one day potentially own and drive.
I agree
I'm leaning towards it.
Do the 4th option 🎉 !
Please build your dream car, gone in 60 seconds ,that one at the end of the movie 😊😊
I'm lean towards that one
steven segal's fastback in out for justice
Now your talking
Eleonor all day
I love the quarter panels that have the glass in them, which ever year that is 😁
64-66 gt350 had the side quarter glass. I had one and absolutely loved it.
Do what you dream for. Eleanor would be my choice.
Paint this up like the Bullet Mustang
Love the bullitt
Keep going on the mtech car please ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Definitely
I think a clean 350 GT fastback would be awesome
Make sure which ever way you go the motor hits hard
That's great
Definitely needs to be a driver know matter what the build
That F100 sits soo nice!! Do a patina GT 500.
That's my daily. I've got a newer f150 fx4 but I'd rather drive my old bumpside.
Bullet
Bullitt meets the car at the end of GI60S
bullet!
Gt500
Shelby GT 500 black👍
I'm definitely doing the gt500. Not sure on color yet
gt 500
This is from an old school guy, I’d make it as original looking as possible. I had 67 coup put a 302 with a 4 speed. Wish I never sold it. I’m 69 years old now, (old)😂
No. Your just now getting broke in. Thanks for watching
@@MrGonein60 I’m all in for the fastback version. Didn’t know it could be done. Whatever you decide, it’s gonna be awesome. I’m subscribed (hooked) and love the fact that your son is doing the pony next to you.
make it the old plain 67 so you can drive it and not worry about the dings .
I agree
Steve McQueen bullet car
For me it’s the GT500
Steve mcqueen car 🚗 🚘 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Bullet.
Daily driver!
GT-500 but not the banged up. The olive green 500
I love the green
Eleanor
Growing up watching gone in 60 seconds i alway loved eleanor. But there is nothing that compaired to the meaning of the car in the end scene. The car has the same attitude and no one ever builds that version.
I agree
Bullet car… you should let Wesley keep the one he is building
Lol
correction Marked for Death just blacked out
Gt 500 Green the 2nd car
The original gt500 with a stick shift
I'd have to have a 4 speed
Being that I’m fairly new to your channel do you ever drive and enjoy these cars or do you mostly sell them? Or are they customers cars?
Little bit of everything. I do drive and enjoy them.
Just put the parts you have in stock on the car
Or do a Dark Moss green 67 GT-500 or Brittany blue
Dark moss is a great color on these cars
GT 500!
I'm thinking so too
What happened to the intro?
Bullet would be my vote.
Like the DP hat too.
That intro was from awhile back. I'm working on a new intro
@@MrGonein60 yea, I’m catching up on your earlier content.
Really like the work, my friend.
@@troy9616 thnkyou.
But I do really like the Eleanor car as well
Supporting my diesel brothers
I'm going through your channel, learning a lot. Since youve obviously done this 100x, how much difference is there between 1967 fastback and 1966 fastback conversions. Are there any significant differences? Theres a lot more 1967 and later information than 1966 and earlier. Thank you for taking the time to share all your experience!
The 64-66 is basically the same process. Only real difference is that if you choose to use coupe interior and leave the coupe trunk divider you will need to trim some off the top of it so that the fastback filler panel can be installed. If you use the fastback trunk divider everything is much simpler
@@MrGonein60Awesome. I'll check this out. Are the measurements to make sure everything is square the same? I would think not because I believe the windows are slightly different. Anyway, I'll investigate.
Would love to see you do a 64-66.
@wereexpertstoo3795 yes rear window opening measurements different
@@wereexpertstoo3795 ill do it. I've got one
Do a bullit car
Gt 500
No to the 4th option. Terrible idea!
Love to here why
Elenor body kit with 67 gt500 front end or carbon reactor front end, coupe tail lights
Coupe taillights would definitely be different
Bullet car
Elenor
make a beautiful shelby clone, never been an eleanor fan, hate rat rods its a lazy mans car. A guy I work with took a 49 desoto, made it inot a 2 door and chopped the top, all this after taking the body off the chassis and mounting it on an s10 chassis complete with v6 and retained the a/c, etc. I really like the car but hes stupid for rat rodding it, it would be just plains sexy if he would do the body work, paint and install a very nice interior. However hes a fabricator and rat rod builder so in my book its a partially complete car.
If you were doing these all the time , how many can you do in 1 year?
Im.not sure. Before covid I was building 8 turn key eleanors a year
What about 1967 fastback mustang from Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift movie I’m sure it’ll draw a lot of attention when presenting at car shows best of luck!
I'd love too. Only problem is I'd have to do it right. Engine and all. Skyline parts be hard to find
bullit driver...cept you dont have the 390 setup
did you use rustoleum on inner side of the 1/4 panel?
Not yet
I did use it on the inner structure of the car.
@@MrGonein60 The New 1/4's looked like bare steel, I was just think about the inside of them while you were doing inner structures...just wondering..Thanks!! Looking good so far!!
Build the bullet car (norm uk )
Greetings and Thanks for watching
Make it stock driver
Standard shelby gt 500 and an average Earl Shive paint job.
Shade tree paint job is all I can offer at moment
BULLITT, in honor of Steve McQueen!
Bullitt
Gt500 … Eleanor seems too overdone these days. Curious though, was there any more updates on the white/red stripe car? Last I saw was just after paint.
Yes sir. Watch the video with the coupe and gray eleanor on the thumbnail. I ended up painting the car gray.
Bullitt mustang
Build an elenor
The fast back that was in bull durham
Eleanor , but reverse the colors.
I've done it before. I love black. That's a idea
Bullit car- don’t you have a charger somewhere too?
I do. I need to be working on it also. Black charger and a green fastback be cool
