Amazing that they don’t cost more! We’re in our 60’s and my husband didn’t know where Cashews came from until 4 or 5 months ago 😁 it’s uncommon knowledge 🥰
Loves it so much!! Except that I just took to the interwebs to try and buy me sum Pedro’s Cashew Butter and I can’t find it available to me in the states. :( Strike a deal to add it to your store! 😅
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this episode! Raul is such a friendly and charismatic character. We searched high and low for a way to support Raul’s company. Unfortunately no distribution in the US that I could find. Am I missing a link somewhere? Perhaps the Wynn’s could work with Pedro’s to import their product.
Hello from Portugal, congratulations to Raul. He has carried out the correct management process, excluding non-productive intermediaries. All by himself. Without a degree in management. Congratulations on the report, these successful situations should be shared.

It spread throughout Asia and Africa at this time. The Portuguese of course traded Spices all across Asia many many years before The Dutch, The English. The Spanish were sort of on their heals after Magalhães sailed on their behalf after being refused by the Portuguese King Manuel 1 the Fortunate, if I’m not wrong. The Wynns do it again! What a fantastic and valuable lesson from a community that came together, minds and muscles, to survive and be more in control of their destiny. Raúl is a true leader, knowledgeable and passionate not only about his people and cashews, but also about how to inspire a whole community to re-invent themselves and beat the odds. A very inspiring story. Thank you Nicky and Jason for being the great ambassadors you are!
I couldn't agree more. What a process. Raúl needs a medal for starting such a business. Hope your promotion helps these people. I guess nobody has ever lost one thought about what effort there is to process cashews. At least I haven't. 👍
Gone with the Wynns is now the BEST sailing/ documentary channel on RUclips. Better than most shows on tv. For a couple of van lifers turned yachties this is incredible. Your story telling is so good now.

There are so many great things about this story, the fact that it’s all done locally, the fact that he came up with his idea because Covid shut him down, he uses all parts of the nut with no waste. I think I’ll watch it again! So interesting!

What a different world we could create if more businesses had the heart of Raul and no doubt many of the folks that have supported this project. In Brazil we have cashew plantations and we pick them from the tree, not from the ground, the fruit is used for frozen juice and the chestnut, after roasting, we eat with salt as if it were peanuts. I've been eating it since I was little and I don't know anyone who has had an allergy or poisoning problem.
Inside the shelf covering the nuts has a liquid like an acid that when it gets into your skin you get scar from it,it burning your skin, that is why you need to be careful to break the shelf and it is really needs to put on fire to break the shelf from the nuts❤
@nathannixslade Plantation crops are different. The trees are arranged in orderly rows on mostly level ground with clean underbrush, machines can go through easily every harvest. This video have wild cashews growing haphazardly with wild undergrowth. The pickers are not employees and I think they rather pick the nuts from the ground than climb to pick the fruits because of the extra hassle of handling the useless fruits and of course the climbing. In the future, when what Raul said that they will use the fruit, maybe it is worth climbing for the fruit.
24:25 Raul's knee-slapping laughter at Jason's "calaman-seed" joke is truly a testament to the generosity of the Filipino people😅 No but for real, I loooved this episode so much! Raul seems like such a wonderful person and I adore all y'alls kind interactions with him and the other folks involved. It's also enlightening to see the time and labor-intensive process of the cashew going from tree to table; gives me a newfound appreciation for that "expensive" jar of cashew butter in my fridge.
This was the most fun video that I have seen in quite awhile. Raol made this so interesting and humorous. Enjoyed it thoroughly. If I could like it twice (or 10x), I would.

This was truly one of my favorite videos you have shared with us. Thank you!
24:25 Raul's knee-slapping laughter at Jason's "calaman-seed" joke is truly a testament to the generosity of the Filipino people😅
No but for real, I loooved this episode so much!
Yay! Finally the Wynn's made it to the Philippines! Been following you guys for a year now. Glad you guys made it! Enjoy your stay!
This was the most fun video that I have seen in quite awhile. Raol made this so interesting and humorous. Enjoyed it thoroughly. If I could like it twice (or 10x), I would.
One of your best videos. Thanks for taking the time to share local community activities. Raul is an exceptional person committed to a successful community. Kudos to him and his family and friends!
Another fun and educational Sunday morning with the Wynns. Thanks guys and keep the good stuff coming.
Good job, and a great message to send out to the world! Thank you for all your many contributions.
These are my favorite type of video. I love when you take us into the lives of the people you meet around the world.

Your videos are a mental health break for me. I'm nearly homeless and this 30-45 minutes every week gives me a wonderful place of peace for a few minutes. Please keep making videos forever!
The whole time Nicky is touching everything I’m praying! Please don’t be allergic!❤😂😂
These type of stories is what makes Gone With The Wynns the best sailing channel. I knew some things about cashews but this was a real eye opener, thank you. The PI is a wonderful place with many areas to explore and enjoy. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Great video, amazingly many of your best videos don’t involve sailing. You guys have become excellent documentarians. Your lives are so interesting, thanks for taking us along for the ride.
