Here I was, just admiring your boat with no clue I was talking to sailing royalty. Nice to have met you in Subic! I was the 36 foot twin outboard parked next to you in Vascos and you told me the HH cats would now be built in Cebu. Safe sailing and hope to see you again on the water sometime!
I'm in Canada, but I grew up so intrigued with love for the Philippines. Throughout my life I have been surrounded by such nice and inviting Filipinos. From friends in elementary to high school, and with every job I have ever had. Due to this, I do know a little Tagalog. When I speak even a little Tagalog, they light up that I know anything in their language. Their joy brings me joy. Plus, the food is amazing as well. I hope to visit the Philippines one day!!
So, what do you think? Should we start turning CURIOSITY into an underwater wreck hunting ship? I bet we can get Jay to join in too. Good food and lost treasure...sounds like a good combo. OMG so so long since we are back to your roots!!! Woop woop woop....travel videos....gosh I have missed those so much and I did not realize how much. Because you filled the last two years with good content too. Been watching you guys since the RV days in the beginning. You help us dream bigger and give us the courage to go behind you later to places as we can. Peace and safe adventures. TY
What a ridiculously cool place, and the guy curating this museum is definitely one of the most spectacular parts of the history here. There should be a docu-series done to tell the stories he has collected over the years he’s spent here uncovering sea-bed graveyards. This is why I loved getting to spend the years I have in Asia. These kind of people and places are just randomly scattered all over the place and waiting to be appreciated. Most of them will never be seen for what they are worth. Thanks for using the platform you guys have built to put this one “on the map” for us! …and then the second part of the video, definitely giving “Somebody Feed Phil” a run for the money! Well done!!
I was in Barrio Baretto, Subic Bay last Sunday. Yesterday came back from a 5 days motorcycling to north Luzon and crossing the Cordillera. Still so much to see. Love the P.I.
You brought back some great memories. I was in Subic Bay in 1973. It was a Navy base back then. The people are so friendly I made a lot of friends there.
Nice to see Subic, I’ve been going there for 40 years, in the Navy, station dito in the 80s at Cubi. I’ve done many visits to Vascos and the Coastal terminal next door. Very nice lots of great memories.
I have a friend in DC who's father owned "National Geographic" when he was young. Jacques Cousteau used to be a frequent dinner guest at his house growing up.
Chico is also known as Níspero. Very popular in the Caribbean and Costal lands in South America. It is said that the nut can be liquified with the fruit as an alternative non invasive procedure to remove kidney stones. Glad to see a young entrepreneur so dedicated. God Bless her.
I would like to say that I have been following you guys every since you were in the RV. I am retired and living here in the Philippines. I am now in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. While in the US Navy I was stationed in Subic twice. I lived there for 6 years. It is a wonderful place.
I LOVED THIS EPISODE!! I thought your local tour guides gave some extra interesting perspective to the video. Love how seamlessly done it is! Fav youtube channel BY FAR!!! ❤
Very cool episode. It’s great to have you both back on the water. Seeing the local markets and food is so interesting. Thanks for taking us along! Be safe and see you next week.
I had the pleasure of growing up here with Brian’s son. This place holds the best memories of my life. Brian is such a cool and amazing person, he taught me how to play billiards. I have a huge scar on my knee from slipping on wet concrete there 😅. Used to play hide and seek in the museum and have sleepovers in the rooms. I love this episode so much.
So much to do in Subic. My wife (Filipina) enjoyed seeing the old market, where she has shopped many times. Our home is on the beach in Iba, 75 km north of Subic. The Filipino food is great. We are at our home in WA now. We left the Philippines a few days before you arrived in Subic. We have Lumpia in the freezer ready to eat whenever we want. When at home in Iba, I have 2 Mangoes each morning. Zambales mangoes are the best.
I am so happy you are back sailing! These are the episodes I love so much. So many channels going through the build process, I can only imagine the stress of it to be honest. Thanks for getting right back to it 😊

Yes, Philippine mangos (I call them Manila mangos) are the best in the world-I'm having one for breakfast today. As a nurse in San Francisco, California, I worked with many Filipinos nurses-with their beautiful smiles and their kind, generous nature, they're also the best people in the world. The market looked amazing. And, of course, thank you so much Nikki and Jason for showing us around-I love that you're under sail again.
Glad you got to explore Olongapo! Virginia Beach's sister city! The markets are always so amazing to me - when I was last in the PI (different part), we got up at 4:00 AM to make sure we got what we wanted from the market. Looking forward to see more of Curiosity sailing and your explorations there!
What a great episode! Guys, The Philippines has soooo much to offer... It's more than sunken ships and treasures...You've captured that in these shots... Jay looks like an amazing host and tour guide. She dabbles in so many areas. What a driven young lady. Great job this week Nikki and Jason. This was very entertaining to watch.
I’ve been thinking about you and RR2 this week. My husband and I are in Mexico on a beautiful beach where many large catamarans bring tourists to spend a few hours. When I see the boats, I marvel how large and graceful they are. It would be fun to see your turquoise hull sail round the bend but I know that you’re on the other side of the world and that wouldn’t be possible.

Been watching your content since you've had the RV. I'm from a small city here in the Philippines. I hope you'll be able to explore the Philippines, not just in the usual tourist destinations but also the unpopular destinations. Dumaguete, Iloilo City, Sipalay (in Negros Island), Guimaras, and Siquior and so much more. There's so much than just Subic and Palawan.
Great episode. Can’t help but compare your episodes to another couple on another new catamaran. No comparison. You guys seem happy and surrounded yourself with interesting locals. And, having sailed the HH 52 & the Seawind 1600 and no comparison. HH is far better designed, executed and supported by the factory. You guys got it right!!
Good to see both of you enjoying the Philippines. I watch a lot of sailing channels and some of my favorite VLOGS of Delos was when they sailed around the Philippines. Good Luck...

Welcome to my home country. It's always fun in the Philippines. You guys will be getting a lot of new Filipino subscribers for sure. Enjoy the culture, food and the friendly vibe.
In the mid '70s I was flying off the USS Midway and we would only occasionally put into the Philippines at Subic Bay. We would also fly into Cubi Point on a cross-country out of Japan. It is so nice to see the area again after so many years. Much happier to see Olongapo take on a much better look! It was sad for me to see in those days. While in port there, my roommate, who was an experienced sailor, asked me if I wanted to go sailing. I had always been a power boater on my Dad's boats, so I said I'd like to learn how. We rented a little 14' Capri from Special Services on base and went sailing around Subic Bay. There was so little there at the time which added to our enjoyment. Just a lot of jungle overhanging the light sand beaches. But the weather was perfect and sailing made boating so enjoyable! Both my friend and I bought sailboats after we retired from the Marines! And for me, it all began here in Subic Bay! Instead of getting the whole list of wrecks, you should have asked for just one wreck to dive on! That's at least two great episodes!
I can't imagine a better life than the one you two are living. It's so inspiring. Sending you all my love and hopes for God's blessings filling your sails.

I hope you'll be able to explore the Philippines, not just in the usual tourist destinations but also the unpopular destinations. Dumaguete, Iloilo City, Sipalay (in Negros Island), Guimaras, and Siquior and so much more. There's so much than just Subic and Palawan.
Spent many days in Subic Bay while in the Navy during the Vietnam war during 1971-74
Great episode.
This is what I’ve been waiting for! Thank you for sharing your new adventure.
Yes, as a diver, I’d be so into treasure hunting! Let’s go!
Yayyyyy! I am so happy you are exploring Philippines…finally!❤
Careful! The Travel Channel is going to come knocking! You guys are so much fun and your production / cinematography is terrific as usual!

You guys are such great ambassadors. Fun, game to try anything, avid learners, and lovely people. Fun video. This. Your smiles say everything. 😀
More local guides!! They are the KEY to success in EVERY Destination!!! 💯
Good to see both of you enjoying the Philippines. I watch a lot of sailing channels and some of my favorite VLOGS of Delos was when they sailed around the Philippines. Good Luck...
I really enjoy this video, interesting people you introduced us to.I can’t imagine looking for ship wrecks and then find treasures. Incredible.

Looking forward to more adventures.stay safe and healthy 💕
OMG Guys…..seriously….the whole Vasko’s segment - what a treat - TY!!!
Another great share, your guide was excellent!
I can't imagine a better life than the one you two are living.
It's so inspiring.
Sending you all my love and hopes for God's blessings filling your sails.
