Recipe
225g/ 2 sticks melted butter
60ml/ 1/4 cup of strong hot coffee (optional)
75g / 2/3 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
3 large eggs
200g / 1 cup of white sugar
200g / 1 cup soft dark brown sugar
Pinch of salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
150g/ 1 1/4 cup of plain flour
200g of chopped chocolate of your choice.
I used half dark and half milk chocolate. It’s what I had. Semi sweet would be good too. Whatever suits your tastebuds
Not a coffee fan? No worries. It’s optional. Just leave it out if you want. It adds flavor and helps to intensify the chocolate along with the brown sugar.
I don’t have a Brownie tin so I just used this Le Creuset dish I found in the cupboard. A 20cm/8 inch Brownie tin will do fine
Bake at 180C/356F for 40 minutes
Niece made these earlier, they are lovely and fudgy. Her first attempt was a success! 🎉
Very glad to hear it and thanks a mill for giving them a go! 🙌🏻😊☘️
This is going to be Sunday's bake! Thanks for the recipe
Lovely stuff! No problem! 😊
Absolutely delicious 😋
Thanks a lot Mary! ☘️
Mine are in the oven right now 😉
Great stuff Jennifer! 💪🏻😊
I just made these brownies cooling on a rack.
@@LindaSmith-xz7ey Cheers for having a go Linda! ☘️
I cracked 3 eggs and weighed them from our last conversation and they ranged from 47 grams to 52 grams. I live along the western side of Lake Michigan and the retailer here sold them as large eggs? Anyway, I was thinking about that earlier comment... Were yours called large too? I just kind of find it interesting if there are any differences in sizing here or there.
What I mentioned was the weight of the eggs uncracked. Here in Denmark they’re labeled M/L Medium/Large and they weigh around 53-72g In saying that they vary ☘️
@@irishbakerabroad Fairly close I would think, thanks for you input here. I will check before cracking as well. ☘
Nice,🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️
Cheers pal! ☘️
Is the temperature for a fan oven or a conventional oven?
Conventional 😊
Thanks a million! That's what I prefer using. I rarely use the fan option on my ovens.
