- Finally! Those of you who know me will know that this siren has annoyed me for YEARS. It's only an hour and a half from Wichita, it tests every Tuesday at 12:00, and yet somehow, no one had ever tried it... So I did it myself.
Continuing on our general trend of not having any sanity, Mikey, Asa, Sam and I went to Ellinwood for the statewide tornado drill, and... well, ho-lee-SHIT. This is quite possibly the single loudest Thunderbolt I have ever heard. Going in we knew next to nothing about it. We knew it was a 5/6 1000T and that it had either a 5M or 6M blower. It turned out to be a 5M… explains why it was so damn loud.
Hope you enjoy!
5M 5/6s are just something different. Cool video!
What a shot...
This was by far the most amazing bolt I've ever been to. Had a great time with you and the others btw!
No kidding dude, this was easily my favorite test of the last 3 years. Was great meeting you, hopefully I’ll see you again someday!
amazing!! really love the way this one sounds, and i also really like the water tower shot you got!
Amazing video!
Incredible.
Someone's late I see
@@TheSirenSeeker we don’t talk about that
🙏
Nice video
What's the difference between a 5M and 6M blower's sound?
In layman’s terms, a 6M rumbles while a 5M buzzes.
@@TheSirenSeeker That makes perfect sense actually. Now that I think on that point I think I'll be able to tell a 5M from a 6M from now on. Are there other blower models I should know about?
@@SilverThunder710 Yes, the most common one actually, the 4M. It has a distinct hum and is the loudest of all the blowers.
@@TheSirenSeeker Oh is that the one where I can hear it over the siren when cameras are right by the blower box?
I wish you a happy and peaceful retirement
No shit lmao
Is that a 5M I hear in the background?
It is!
