Holy mother of god, that startup going into alert is the worst startup I've ever heard on a Thunderbolt. This thing is at death's door, it almost died right then and there.
Sorry for the late response, but yeah, I'm in a group chat with the two others that recorded the siren during the tornado drill. I assume it broke down in either March or April since I was last there.
Brushes? What brushes? Those brushes probably have the smallest bit of carbon left on them that the brushes expand just enough from heating up to make contact with the commutator which is probably why its jumping like that in the beginning of alert and also probably the bearings contributing a bit to it also. It sounds fucking awful. Dont think its gonna make it another month if that.
@@bencerne2551 we don’t know yet. I’ve been to Brodhead a few months ago to check on the last remaining 3T22 in the city. But we can see if it’s still active in the coming months though this siren is not in my plans, it will be on the table.

Yeah, the siren was having trouble starting up, and that was what I heard along with the nearby 2001 for a few seconds.
