Yeah doing the silk screen print after removing it from the mold is the smart way to go. This was such a beautiful and fun project 😊
You saved them!!! I definitely like the stronger contrast better. Both are very pretty
Claire, these trays are beautiful ❤. The colors are so beautiful. And I totally love the design of the silkscreens.❤
The trays came out absolutely beautiful. The holes such as they were, almost looked purposeful. ❤❤❤
These trays are lovely Claire! I love the contrast too. Very pretty
Absolutely stunning design, remarkably recovery on saving the images. ❤❤
Brilliant save !! they are both gorgeous !!!! Well done !!! love the colours
Thank you for trying out all these different techniques. You are awesome for showing us the pros and cons.
Claire those green trays are absolutely gorgeous!!!!! I want oneeeeeee please!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!?!?Green is my favorite color in the whole world the shade of green I don’t like is neon green. Also word of advice you make videos they way you want to make them and the style and the topic or idea of the video it should all be up to you!! We will watch whatever you put out. Just continue to what it is that makes your heart happy please!? If you wanna make 1.5 million silk screen episodes the. Do it if you just do 5 then do five! Whatever floats your boat!! We are here bc of you!!love your videos Jen ❤️🧩🏳️🌈
They turned out beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
I would use paints on the silkscreen after the base is hard. This way you can use all colors. You do have to wash the screens while acrylic paints are wet so when you pull it get it right in water and don't let the paint dry on the screen.
Great save! Definitely silk screen after curing!
Great save. Claire !! These colors are gorgeous ❤❤
These are so pretty Claire, love the colours (and the save 😊😊)
They're beautiful, Claire. 😊❤
Always amazing creations coming from you,Ms Claire 😍💜. Everything becomes amazing if it's got touch of your hands 😍.Love both the trays with those amazing silk screen printing so much 😍
These turned out so pretty! You need an offset spatula to smooth and then remove excess jesmonite. 😊
Fabulous, the trays look stunning .... ❤
Absolutely gorgeous, I need to try this. Claire, you are so talented.
So pretty! Thanks for sharing.
They’re gorgeous Claire, you’re trays are so lovely. Thank you so much for all your videos, they’ve helped me loads x❤
Stunning trays and brilliant save! 💜
Great save! They look beautiful!!
Beautiful Claire, love the saves❤❤
Hi Claire beautiful trays 😍, thanks for all the information, cant wait to have a play, thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ xxx
They came out so beautiful! ❤
Wow , it’s beautiful . I wish I could afford the silk screen.
I use foil tape to stick non stick silk screens down and it works wonderfully. I get more choice with non stick ones.
Would you be so kind and let me know what foil tape is?😊 I have no idea 🙈
These are just lovely, Claire!
I love the shades of blue in the blue one! ❤ I'm also not a green lover.
Great Save Claire that are beautiful ❤️
BEAUTIFUL ❤❤❤❤❤ AMAZING SAVE
Looking forward to this.
Love these trays...fabulous
LOVING these two colors, Claire! ❤😊 My favorite is always green, but I do love aquas and blues, too.
Claire, normally I like contrast, too, BUT...I can't forget how fabulous that white-on-white was! 😍💕
Beautiful colors!
These turned out great. I really like how you show the mistakes and then how to fix them.
I love both of these,Ms Claire 😍😍😍💜💜💜,watched complete video just now😅.I got confused about your premier timings,as when advent calender was going on,your premiers were one hour late for us,and now it seems it's back to your previous time when I had joined to your channel. Thank you always for inspiring us 💜💜💜
Stunning as always!
I think they are beautiful just the way they are. Home made, not store bought. Love you! ❤❤
❤❤❤
You have inspired me to try doing this! Wow 🤩 are these Beautiful!! 😍 I’m loving these! ❤❤
By the way, I’m not tired of silkscreens at all!!!!! 😉
Gorgeous, Claire. Sorry I missed the chat, had a power outage due to the horrendous rain and wind. 😯🌧️🌬️💨
Nice save! Love the folk art feel of the designs, beautiful colours too.
I think these are so gorgeous!!! The holes don't matter xo
They are so pretty I love them so much ❤😊
Beautiful Claire xxxxx
These look so good! I've been trying this out and well let's just say that each attempt is showing an improvement on the previous anyway!
Love those ❤❤❤
I'm not sure if your silk screens will work similar to chalk couture ones. But I know they say never use soap when cleaning them, only water. And that some surfaces can cause dirt to get on the sticky part. In your case powder residue from am unsealed project. They recommend putting your silk screen sticky side up on a flat surface (they use a fuzzing cloth) and gently wiping with a disinfecting wipe to remove any residue or dirt. You might want to try that, it can't hurt. ❤
I would recommend maybe sealing them first, or at least cleaning the piece to try to remove any powder residue. Then do the silk screen, then seal again.
You did AWESOME Claire !!! They all turned out gorgeous & those colors are so yummy especially that blue tray…love love love 🩵🩵🩵
Hey Claire looking amazing;
I love this, thank you for inspiring me ❤
Beautiful. I love these. xoxoxo
Love these
I really loved the dimension from the air bubbles, especially on the blue tray, they made me think needlework like cross-stitch or embroidery.
I think if the silk screen is going to go in the bin because the stickiness is gone, where’s the harm in trying spray adhesive? You could try it on the back of a coaster that you plan to put a back on. If the silk is clogged where the material doesn’t go through or goes through terribly, you can scrape off any that did, and no harm; you’re putting on a backing anyway. Same if the adhesive leaves a mark on the Jesmonite. But what if it works beautifully, and extends the life of your silkscreens?
It looks good.
When you wash the screens you need to let them air dry upside down and they should get back their “stick”. There is no adhesive on them it is a type of silicone I believe. Just a thought.
Missed today's live 😢, actually bcoz of time confusion.Next time I will be more alert . watching it now 😁
Love these! Have you tried using a disinfectant wipe on the sticky side of your mesh stencils? The ones I use recommend this to rejuvenate the stickiness. Hope that helps!
🤩🤩🤩
i had listened to a lot of ur vids... and ur how old??? ur seem soo much younger... LOLOL.... i love crafts as it keeps us so young... LOL
Hi I didn't know about your videos but yesterday I found you on RUclips. I am so glad I did, I love my transatlantic cousins but it was wonderful to hear an English person. I am 79 and have just started with resin, I want to try and make some trays like yours, do you use jesmonite, I have never heard of it before but will def go looking for it. So far I love your channel and hope to watch lots more. Thankyou Ann
heyyyy Ann - thank you so much I am glad you found me x I do both epoxy resin and jesmonite here - they are very very different things xx I hope you enjoy x
Claire, these are just stunningly gorgeous! I'd be hard pressed to choose a favourite. My favourite colour is green as it happens, so both of these are right up my alley! Thank you for another great tutorial.
Green is my favorite color, too! 😍😊 I never get tired of seeing Claire use green. 😁
I don't know, Claire, in spite of the imperfections I actually loved them the first go round. The green tray, again, in spite of the imperfections might have been one of my favorite things you have done! Q: (and I think I know the answer) could you have poured a thin layer of resin over the bottom of the tray? Q2: (and I feel stupid for asking since I watch all your videos) What is the difference between Jesmonite and Resin Crete? Thanks.... Stella
Could you use tack it over glue?
they are pretty... have u tried the using baby lotion???
I'm wondering if texture paste might work better with this technique? But it does take longer to dry out xxx
Would this also work on air dry clay ? With paint ? 🎨
💜💜💜💜💜💜
🙌🏻👍🏻😃
How many times can you use each of the screens?
How do you mix the jasmine to do the silk screen. How do I measure the product for the silkscreen? Thanks for your help.
Heyyyyy lovely ... its the same ... 1:2.5 ratio .. just a tiny amount needed
What if you pour the base immediately after the silk screen? While the Jesmonite is still wet? Then you can shake as much as you need 😂 Or the colours would just mix and become a big blop? 😂🤦🏻♀️
Don't know if im being a plank or not but i clicked on your silkscreen link at the top and it takes you to youtube and not amazon
You have to click the links in the description box.
Thank you Candy@@candymatek3
I don’t know much about Jesmonite but can’t you or couldn’t you just put a clear resin or resin with a tiny bit of gold flake in it and even out the top just a thought maybe that wouldn’t work like I said I have no clue about Jesmonite I’m just learning🤷🏼♀️??? ANYONE that sees this question….please feel free to teach me if that COULD be a possibility if I try to tackle Jesmonite ….. it would be nice to know if or rather when I make an error LOL. Thx ClaireBears❤
Heyyyyyyy lovely ... yes you can top coat jesmonite with Resin... a rub coat first followed by top coat. Jesmonite releases a lot of air ... so a rub coat would be great 😍😍😍
You would still be able to see the holes in the jesmonite 😍😍
Also ... resin sticks to Jesmonite
Jesmonite does not stick to resin .. so if I were to make a layered pot for example ... the resin and jesmonite would eventually part ways xx
The exception here ... is if the surface is large flat area ... jesmonite might stay ... I just haven't tried this 🙈❤️❤️
Love these
