Heyyyyyy lovelies, in this video I am trying the brand new
Aqua Cast texture Eco resin from Elichem. Some of you may have seen this being launched on the Create and Craft shopping channel a couple of days ago. This is a water activated Eco. It is a 5:1 ratio. One part water to 5 parts powder. You can add colour to this. It will need to be sanded at 80 grit to reveal the texture. The texture is absolutely beautiful and is very similar to sand. it does not absolutely need to be sealed depending on use. however, you can seal it using Elichem sealers which can be found on their website.

Heyyyyy lovelies - This is now available to buy from Elichem - www.elichem.co.uk/art-products/aqua-cast-texture-water-activated-casting-compound
I LOVE L❤️OVE LOVE The outcome of the broken tray, what an exciting product, I can’t wait to see more videos of this 😁
Cool. Yes, the plate looks like an archeological find. Love your enthusiasm. xoxoox
Pretty cool!! Looks like they are using a fiber for strength. It definitely gives it a very organic look. **By the way, Claire….I just tried out a new product by Colour Arte called Purely Pigments and the color load is amazing. It’s also archival and won’t bleed or fade. I’ve used it in epoxy resin, Aqua Resin (similar to Jesmonite), in Gloss varnish for stained glass affect and also all by itself. Dries fast and is permanent. I’ve reached out to the company and asked her to send you some so Leslie will be contacting you.
I'm here!! I can't wait to see this. I've been watching vids on this stuff!!
Yayyyy amazing 🤩🤩🤩 thank yooooo
I loooove the plate!!! But I liked the pink tray before the sand. 😃❤
Absolutely love this Claire. ❤❤❤
For some reason your final plate reveal reminded me of old Italy, the stone work, old olive oil jugs etc. I love it!
This is really beautiful. I do like the texture of your pieces. Thanks for another fun video with tons of info ❤
Sorry I missed the premier. Beautiful texture. Have a great day Claire. 😊😊
I didn’t like the remake of the plate until your description. LOVE IT NOW!! ❤❤❤❤
It looks insanely like natural stone…. Love it!!! Way better than the pink one!!!
Hi Claire love the texture 😍 very unique, thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ xxx
Awesome 👏🏻 love how natural it is! WOW 🤩
I agree I love the round natural one the best.I like the other, but the raw one will go with and decor and look great on a plate stand sitting amongst some plants, with perhaps a small matching bowl..Love these and your experiments 🥰
I love it glad you didn’t throw it away.
It gives it the look of ancient pottery ❤❤
LOVE, LOVE the natural "sandstone" tray, Claire! 😍💕 Love the natural color and the texture is AWESOME! It looks so old, like something you dug up on an archeological dig site! Do more, do more!! Maybe a mossy green and natural tray next?
The pink tray is also really cool! 👍
Beautiful tray, Claire. 😄👏🏻
I absolutely love the way this looks! It definitely looks like stone. An older, cracked and chipped stone that has been cherished over the years! You can achieve so many diffrent looks with this product! Personally I was really getting tired of watching people stick anything and everything into clear resin 🙄 The fact that this isn't going to harm people or destroy the Earth is so important! ☺ 🙃 ☺ I hope it's available where I live. Definitely need some!
While of course using more eco friendly products is great, I think you judging resin crafters by implying that they're destroying the earth is rude. Hobbyist craft resin is barely a drop in the ocean compared to where most plastic waste comes from.
How much of your clothing and shoes are made from synthetic materials? They're a *huge* contributor of the total plastic waste we consume.
Wow, so different. That would make awesome plant pots❤❤
This is stunning!!!!
I like combining different textures. This looks absolutely fascinating. I'd be curious to see how durable this is after fully curing. Very interesting!
I do as well
Herculight casting powder is very good and a hard powder and a bit cheaper if you spray your moulds with rinse aid you will find your item easy to get out of its mould wet and dry 3,000 grit you will get a perfect finish but thank you for the review on the casting 😊
Love this tray. Looks like u picked it up from outside ❤
End results are pretty cool ❤
Beside the crack in the plate, I love these creations, especially the plate. I love natural stones, and other natural materials. I’ve seen similar plates selling for a high $$$ amount.
This is awesome! ❤❤❤
I love it. Saving the cracked bits was brilliant. That last tray is beautiful. I love the texture.
I totally love the natural plate. Very interesting. Great job Claire. ❤❤
Amazing tutorial about the aquacast textured stuff,Ms Claire, the trays turned out superb.Even one of them broke, you managed to gather it up in the most beautiful way 💕
Both trays are fantastic Claire, I love how you saved the dropped one. The texture is very earthy , great video ❤
OMG Claire, the round tray end up looking like some type of relic! How Amazing!
I LOVE this texture effect. The effect that you got from your dropped plate looks fantastic . Just gives it an industrial feel.. ore of something that has been dug up in an archaeological dig. Gotta get me some of that! ❤
Loved it!!
YOU CRACK ME UP!! I love how you can take any negative and turn it to a positive. If I would have been in your craft room with you, I would have been laughing so hard! 😂 I’m definitely on the OTHER team as far as aesthetics go, but always cheering for you Claire! ❤️
Wow cool
Love these also - so cool
This aquaculture is a Pretty stuff,Ms Claire 😍😍.You chose wonderful colors to play with this stuff, and the trays infact turned out so beautiful. Even if one of them broke, you recreated it with it's pieces even more beautiful 😍 💜💜💜
Wow Claire, that was a brilliant save! This product looks absolutely gorgeous. The textured finish is so lovely
You are a trip! I so look forward to your videos. I like the “fix” plate although I don’t think I would serve my mother-in-law with it. I love the texture thing. It opens a whole new world……or moon. Thanks Claire 💚
The broken tray turned out really cool! For some reason, my first attempt at a new technique usually works out best and can never be surpassed.
Very nice 👍 😊
I love it!
I love it
The pink one was pretty but the other one went from potential disaster to exciting centerpiece! 💜
It's a flintstone plate😁😁 but yes I agree its really cool, natural stone is best
They both ended up nice. The redo with the broken pieces came out really nice. Everything does not have to end up smooth and shiny to be an awesome piece. I'm sure many "purists" were aghast when Jackson Pollock dared to take a turkey baster to splatter paint all over a canvas. To each their own.😉 I like both the trays you did 😃👍❤️
#replay. Missed the premier but WOW this video was sooooo crazy! I love when you can take an oops and make something so amazing. And I truly appreciate that you usually make stuff that makes sense - if you know what I mean lol So many channels are all about technique but not really making stuff I would use/display/gift. I mean I enjoy the ASMR of that sometimes but I find myself wanting to make something after I watch your videos! 💕💕
I think the eco pour is for small concrete repairs. It looks like fun to play with
It's marketed as being for crafts.
I love the black and sand! Nicely done. Question. If you get water on it (unsealed), does it absorb it and weaken it?
Ohh I’m on the fence on this one Claire ❤
❤️❤️❤️ I knew it would definitely divide opinions for sure 🤩🤩🤩
👍
What side of the sand paper sticks to the sander? Normally it's the white side. The rust coloured side is normally the sanding side. I'm probably wrong, maybe you have a different sander to the one I have. Love your ideas
Not sure how I feel about the texture but looks cool.
Have no idea how or why but your channel just showed up on my feed one day and I must say and I am LOVING IT!! Do you have any videos that talk about the difference between jasminite, resincrete and resin, when you would use one vs the other or something like if you are making this use this one or this is best for this use? Also I am probably late with this question but what is ECO and why use it? Thank you for all the great information!
Heyyyyyyy lovely ... thankyou so much I actually don't have a comparison video on all of them ... but Eco pours are very popular right now as an alternative to Resin. Epoxy resin comes with a whole heap of things that you need to use like PPE .. Heat tools.. blow torches it is a lot more versatile in what can be done ... but Eco pours are basically a safer Eco Friendly alternative. A dust mask is all that's needed and it's fast .. really fast curing art medium.
@@ClairesCraftyCorner wow thank you for replying. I watched your videos making the trays and I was thinking of making myself a palette for watercolor paint and wondering which one would be better not ready to make one out of ceramic that’s a big investment. Lol
Looks so cool with the chunky black. What does the back look like. Some of the ecos have such lumpy backs I think they will scratch up my table so I usually add cork, but think that ruins the look a little.
It adds another step but could you sand the lumpy bits down? Wouldn't need to start with a rough grit like this I'd think
Can you use this to make candle vessels?
Is there a type of colorant you cant use
Do you have to seal this product?
Can you put chameleon Flakes
72 min & counting!! 😂
Interesting, but perhaps not quite my thing. I think I need to see a few more things done with it before I make a final decision on like or dislike.
Eeh. Not so much this time. Love the tan and black but....
Aww no
UMmmm, not for me xx
No, not my taste at all.
