They wouldn’t even notice that extra 5% not being there if they had Peter onboard! Awful decision
Dumb Dumb Dumb. They’ll live to regret it
What a terrible decision at the end.
They got too greedy
Always the way, they should just look at Levi Roots to see what Peter Jones can do. Can’t they understand that 75% of something is better than 100% of nothing
Quarter of your company for 30 quid ain’t much though really is it.
@@wq5dz I think it was a bit more than thirty quid.
@@wq5dzIt's not about the 30k, it's about the value Peter Jones brings. Remember one thing, 75% of a watermelon is greater than 100% of a grape.
Always make a counter offer, if that is not accepted make a buy back offer for when they have received their initial investment back. No one should leave the Den without these two areas being explored 🙈.
No
I have a bussiness degree, take it from me, that is a surefire way of getting blacklisted
The difficult thing about the coffee market is it's so saturated now that it's almost impossible to differentiate yourselves in the market which is a key factor to stand out in the market.
I don't even drink coffee but we ALL know it's completely saturated!
Just like entering the ‘skin care’ Market 😂
Owning 75% of million pound business or owning 100% of a so called 300k business?
You mean a 100% of a £270k business (ie pre-money valuation)
Every coffee company these days promotes sustainability and fair pay for farmers, this company has absolutely nothing unique about it. Frankly I don't think most consumers really care that much about either of these selling points anyway. Absolute madness that they declined Peter's offer.
What a total fool - even 49% he should have said yes - that’s ego over reality in a nutshell
Wannabe business people.First they pitch for empathy towards the poor coffee farmers and then they show it is just about the money.
You could tell his inability to to accept the deal was an ego move in front of his partner to not be a pushover, vs her facial expression which showed she was annoyed and really wished he just accepted and was able to work with Peter Jones and likely knows more on his ability.
Why walk away from a highly successful businessman for 5 % difference when the biz is only worth like
150k 😂 Peter can 10x that for them
150k is generous, it's only making 30k annually for the last several years while it's still new, these next couple years are sink or swim while new coffee brands enter the market with a better design, package, logo, name, purpose, taste, etc and presumably usurp these two.
He is crazy!!! He should have accepted peter’s offer
Wow. I never comment on these videos but the male business owner has the worst business acumen I’ve ever seen. There are thousands of companies like this going no where. Big mistake
Yes.😂 ridiculous. Who does he think he is? 25% was very fair.
*Imagine having PJ onboard 🤦♂️, he could have taken it places.
They could have agreed to buy back 5% from peter after they pay him back when sales do well and get to 20%.
"Willmas Coffee" is a great name and im sure Stephen could have done some "storytelling" around that
is it not 'Wilmer'?
@@ifwecouldvote yes
@@ifwecouldvoteyep, English don't pronounce there R's
@@craigpardy6204 lol, yes they do. And England has many accents, which one are you referring to? I work there often.
@@ifwecouldvote London mainly, but all over. My family are English and I went to school there,
and they drop there R's or replace them with F's.
IE. not thanks, but fanks..
Oof. That was painful to watch. Such a lost opportunity to work with Peter Jones and all over 5% of a fledgling "company." So sad for them for their (well, HIS) terrible decision.
Not necessarily a terrible decision. It sounds good in a little conversation but they obviously value it enough to not go any higher and that's more than okay.
They really f'd that up at the end.
Well they didn't get a deal... but they love each other! 😳 That's nice!
Good Lord😂. the Awards, OUR STORY & ‘sustainability’ will carry us🙏
She doesn’t let him speak! No wonder considering his final decision!
One of the worst decisions in DD history
Great opportunity to ask to buy back to 15-20%. He’d of agreed to 20 probably. If not go with 25. Going nowhere but could go somewhere with Peter. Already a huge idea he projected of brand name change
The “I love you” in the end is pure cringe
💯
Lmao I’m not a body language expert but I can tell she was disappointed in the decision he made at the end 😂 I ought to be a fly on the dash for that drive back home
Wallyma. That was a terrible decision!!!
Ego, their ego will get them (or keep them) poor
I still cant beleive people were wearing face masks in the same vicinity and then take them off again human stupidity is astounding
So true
She'll send him right back to Honduras after that end! haha should have taken the 25%!
So, now they are 30k or something in debt. That didn't go well then.
They come across a bit delusional and egotistical.
Him: I love you.
Her: Silence
Until they get in the car anyway.
She was not happy I seen that look before lol
absolute nonsense, there are literally hundreds of roasters in London who focus on sustainability and provenance in London alone. Chancers
Peter is the dude man, shame no investment
Shame too because Honduran coffee is incredible
Hey just letting you guys know I'm setting up a company called Wilmas Coffee
GREED… A deadly sin…
Nice suit make a good first impression.
Why is the narrator's voice too quiet most of the time? Can't BBC afford a proper sound engineer? Even I can fix that.
The narrator is unusually quiet
am i the only one show just buys products without researching their background? Never once have I thought , hmm wonder how nescafe got this in here?
Deborah must have had her cast off mid show?
The fella has failed her
He got greedy at the end
Sara 😍
I really wish Touker would phrase his, "I'm NOT going to invest and I'm out!" much better. Something like, Good luck, I wish you well but I won't be investing so I'm out. Anything would be better than his TERSE phrase that he always uses.
Just came on for free marketing
All the dragons know the hustle
They will regret that. 5%. Really!! If those are the types of decisions they make best not to invest.
What will happen if you serve a cup of tea to a coffee snob?
I'll drink it. I enjoy tea, also. 😊
what a fail
She did _not_ look happy.
Ethereum 💰
They made a mistake of there lifetime
Greed cost him, haha good for him.
Scalper Jones got a no. Big respect for them and wish them every success.
They’ll be out of business in no time. Bad decision
Nobody cares about a farmers picture
I’d bet he scammed her
Huh
zzzzz
Steven is a RUclipsr. He has been successful from that but no entrepreneur. Get him off the show, he ruins it
That’s so dumb..yes he’s a youtuber but he can also be an entrepreneur
He was pretty capitalistic for someone brought up in a communist country
I’d guess most people living in a communist country would prefer capitalism.
Honduras has never been a communist country. What on earth made you think it was?
Steven social mogul?
Famous for nothing
I just figured out yesterday that most rich crypto holders invest with professional crypto traders to learn new strategies and earn huge amount of money. How true is this
Wow! I'm really surprised Donna Patricia is being mentioned here. I initially started off with her last year with 5k and now my portfolio is worth over a 100k
Mrs Donna Patricia is the real deal when it comes to trading👍. I'm a living testimony.
Please educate me, I’ve come across this name before, Now i'm interested to start trading with her
Donna Patricia is the key to robust profits. I'm currently trading with her also. Started off with a low amount and now my portfolio is unbelievable.
I strongly agree with you guys, Donna's team is the best, My funds are safe and ROI is always sent directly to my external wallet exchange monthly
- Old episode and they have since gone out of business. They indeed blew it. Sad.
Peter could have helped them tremendously.
Nope, they're still in business.
