I hate the loud squeals in the London Underground, especially when the train goes around tight corners. I went on one on the Jubilee Line on the 2nd May 2023 from London Bridge to Green Park.
The whole Northern line is loud too. The Bank branch alongwith the extension in particular. I now wear hearing protection on the tube. Same for concerts. Maybe lowering the speed limit would help?
This train is back out of service for the time being I understand. On the plus side, 11/14 speed restrictions have been lifted and more trains are returning to service gradually.
i miss the old ones... why did they refurbish them??? that is, honestly, the dumbest thing they ever did to a train, and also- I WONT HEAR THE WASHING MACHINE EVER AGAIN!!!

Sounds in the tunnels like a 2009 stock at that acceleration
Same traction motors
It sounds more like a s stock tbh
@@archiveguy2362ye it does 2009 is higher pitched
@@henrys_trains_westcoast I would assume similar traction motors but more refined
@@archiveguy2362 It sounds like an S Stock for the first 3-5 seconds and then it blends into the 2009 Stock
Well Done! Can’t wait to see these and ride them for myself! The journey between Bethnal Green and Mile End sounds A LOT MORE quieter now!! :)
They are!
8:43 now that the Central line can enjoy its moment of matching motor sounds with the S Stock trains 😂😂 hey there my twin motor friend!! 🎉🎉😂
Awesome. 👍
Bit of a Lottery with these!
Hopefully I’ll catch one when I next go to London
WOW THIS TRAIN LOOKS NICE
They should add exit here for the Olympic park and Westfield Stratford at Stratford
West Ham Stadium* But anyways thats a good idea!😊
@@WagDemTailsthe Olympic park surrounds the West Ham stadium
@@WagDemTailsit’s called the London Stadium
@@WagDemTails rented stadium, doesn’t belong to West Ham lol
Yay
Im heading off to Redbridge later this year; cannot wait to travel on the refurbished vehicles.
Its so slow between Mile End and Stratford now
It's because they have problems on the line.
tell me about it, i know
probably temporary speed restrictions
what problems?@@lucalai8436
Because of noise related issues?
8:43 oh hello my motor
i like the new refurbished central line trains

Try Victoria line between Stockwell and Vauxhall, it hit 104dB once…

@annabelholland im tryna get to places ngl😂😂
1992 Stocks are lovely. Why replace them? Don't they deserve another 18 to 20 years in service?
Could have added some armrests?
They had cheap plastic armrests when new. They didn't last long.
The ones on the Waterloo and City Line have

I was only 5 when this stock came out. I cant believe they are still around
I'm guessing you are 39
@Great_WesternTVFan no I'm 36
It's not surprising as tube trains should last 40+ years in service.
1972 stocks are over 50 years old and still operating. 1992 stock isn't that old by comparison

Oh why dose no one believe that bethnal green changes for london overground?
Wait what?!?!
Idk why but now this central line 1992 stock and the district Hammersmith & city and circle lines sound similar to the victoria line 2009 stock😭😭😭😭😭
Nice video
Thanks mate
Are they running in the core section yet?
Depends
Refreshed
I like it
I don't like how it matches to the D&C, Victoria and H & C 😪

I prefer the new moquette. They needed information screens anyway.
I feel like these announcements don't sound bad not all lines need female announcers
Are these announcements still only for testing or will they become permanent?
These are permanent

@@zak23 ah okay, thanks for the info

Permanent. The same thing is happening with the bakerloo, piccadilly and DLR when they get new trains
