It's good they fixed the destination displays on the fronts. Although they already had LED destination displays, the original ones were bold in capitals and not legible when it heads to Hainault.
It is a nice refurbished on the central line, TFL done a good job. The only thing il miss tho is the old announcements. The new announcements sounds abit disturbing, and the old one is more better.
Exactly, the new refurbished seats, LED Destination Display and the new CCTV cameras inside the 1992 stock train are very helpful, but the new announcer and the AC motor sound are very, very bad for the Central Line service. Yuck! Nasty! So the old announcer and the DC motor sound are setting up back in service. Now that’s a grateful deal for the Central Line that same as the Waterloo & City Line of class 482 train. And also the Central Line of 8-carriages for 1992 stock train needs a new spare front lights that’s the same as the Jubilee Line of 7- carriages 1996 stock train.❤🎉
@@ivanyap2002 Is the AC motor sound noisier than it is between Bethnal Green and Liverpool Street, anything to make that quietier or between Leyton and Stratford would be a miracle saver

Nicely refurbished carriage. About time that TfL should do lot more with the Central Line and the 1992 Stock. Same with the Waterloo and City Line as well.
I'm not mad at the new motor sounds. I still prefer the old ones but I don't use the LU pretty much at all these days so it doesn't bother me. Those new announcements are disgusting tho. They need to get that woman who did the originals back, or someone who sounds like her to imitate her voice and re-do those announcements.
@@axolotlgamer615How long is it going to be shuttling between North Acton and Ruislip Gardens because I might be going on that section om the 30th March.
Accoring to a post I saw by TfL, it is stated that the male announcements are indeed only for testing on the refurbished trains while finding a new permanent female announcer. It will not be Emma Clarke's voice, it will be someone else's (another female voice). Let's wait until the time comes as the refurbished trains are currently only used on shuttles and have not even rolled out on the entire line yet. But surely, it may happen as per what TfL actually says.
The refurbishment is odd, I like the new seat design, I think the dot matrix looks like a complete bodge and looks stupid how they cover lots of the window, the new announcement are horrid, they old one sounds so much better, it’s abit stupid that the door buzzes 3 times, and those motors just sound stupid
They fucked it tbh, the doors close slower, the motor sound we already got that on 5 trains already, the announcement guy sounds shit, only actual thing I like is the wheelchair space that’s it
I don’t think they’re concerned about what sound a motor makes, they’d be more concerned about how the motor operates. The S stock/Victoria motors are more modern and reliable and newer motors will probably sound similar
Honestly, i do think the older trains on the central line especially the motors on the old one , these motors are too similar to sub surface line trains nothing can beat the original
@@PopsukFun not exactly no. More similar to the s stock. But similar yes. Amd to be honest they are unique. Not exactly the same as either. Probably have the same VF drive though

Those old ones were infamous for poor reliability (it was using untested first generation technology) but now everyone views them with rose tinted goggles and acts like these new motors are bad, even though they've been on the victoria line for over 10 years with no issue
@@evanslater4551 IMO Hamilton's announcements are alright, but I feel like they should have hired her to update the new Jubilee line announcement at Canning Town instead of having Parnell use the opposite of the S and 2009 stocks in terms of announcement tone.

My thoughts I never have seen one of them on the central line ever I miss Emma Clark’s voice but I am almost used to the new voice the AC motors are nothing like the old DC GTO motors the layout is horrendous and I really don’t like the fact that the door sounds beep 3 times when opening up instead of 1 big beep like normal and a long loud beep when the doors close and in the process of closing instead of the sound made when the doors are about to close like originally that is the worst part.

Looks fantastic! It’d be weird getting use to the new announcements. And the sound of the motors. They sound like an S Stock
